The Bed and Breakfast guest rooms are large, with antique furnishings, private baths and A/C. The decor is traditional with coordinated faux paint finishes and wallpapers. Wi-Fi available Guests are encouraged to enjoy theBed and Breakfast's large comfortable common room with fireplace or relax on the two person porch swing. Full gourmet breakfast is served in the large dinning room or on the garden porch in season. While in the area guests can bike on the Erie Canal Bikeway Trail, stroll the rose garden in Central Park, or take in a broadway show at the restored 1920's Proctor's Theater. Saratoga Springs is a short drive in the foothills of the great Adirondack Mountains. Schenectady is also very convenient to Cooperstown and the Berkshires of Western MASS. My husband was invited to speak at Union College. We were in town to visit some old friends. Ms. Carol (the innkeeper) made our stay memorable by preparing the most delicious breakfasts. She was also kind enough to share her "dutch babies" recipe. The Van Voast House B&B is very clean and quaintly decorated.
