The Inn At Cafe Tamayo

  • Inn Details

We are here mostly for dining and relaxing; although we are in the Catskills of NY so nearby there are all the outdoor activities the Catskills have to offer, plus HITS, and many local festivals including the garlic festival in Sept. The village of Saugerties is historically landmarked and is known as the Antique Capitol of the Hudson Valley, so there is a mix of old and new. Our 1864 building has its old world charm with, flowered wallpapers, brass beds and hard wood floors.

    Innkeeper Information

    Innkeepers Description:

Having left Manhattan in 1986 we came upstate to open our restaurant & Inn. We spend time hiking and bicycling, going to antique stores and auctions. We are both founding members of the Saugerties Farmers Market and are very involved, both personally and for our restaurant, with buying local and buying fresh from the farm.

We loved our weekend at Cafe Tamayo. We arrived Friday evening and had an amazing dinner followed by a lovely evening upstairs. The room was just charming, comfortable with perfect touches to allow for relaxing in the room. Saugerties offered more than we had expected and we actually didn't leave the village on Saturday and decided to dine at Cafe Tamayo again on Saturday evening since Friday had been so perfect. I can't wait to go again.

Very reasonably priced, comfortable and well-located Saugerties Bed and Breakfast Hudson River Valley Inn - right in the middle of town, close to the Saugerties HITS (Horse Shows in the Sun) and Saugerties Festivals we like to frequent. Dining at Cafe Tamayo, just downstairs.
