    The Holmestead Bed and Breakfast is on 11 acres and has magnificent views of the Catskill Mountains. Our roomy(550 sq. ft.) one-bedroom suite offers a private entrance and bath, large livingroom and dining area. Whether you would like to explore the countryside or just sit out front and watch the sunset this is the place for you. We are 45 minutes from Albany, 2 hours from New York City and less than 2 miles from HITS (Horse Shows In The Sun) in Saugerties. Stay with us and we will make you feel right at home.

Make a right onto Emerick Road, then a quick left. Go aprox. 50 feet you will see our sign. We are the last driveway on the right. We are located on the top of the hill in a brick and white house.

    Margaret and Rick, the innkeepers, were two of the warmest, friendliest, most helpful hosts we have met in 40+ years of traveling in the US and abroad. The accommodations couldn't be nicer, and they provided ammentities I didn't even know I needed. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the swimming pool very much after a day of hiking. You can eat your breakfast on Adirondack chairs with a beautiful view of the Catskills. In addition, Holmestead B & B is very quiet, and you are close to the Hudson River, Saugerties, Woodstock and lots of hiking possibilities. I was blown away when Margaret called a few days before our arrival to ask very specific questions about what we wanted in the way of food. Not stopping at "Do you want milk? when the answer was yes, the follow-up was 1%? 2%? whole? Our stay was truly wonderful, and we will definitely remember this spot if we ever come back this way again..
