Welcome to our cozy, late 19th century Victorian home located in quaint, historic Rhinebeck Village. Walk to all the village has to offer: great restautants, distinctive shops, and the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Our home has been restored with attention to detail and is a "Mirror Victorian" which means the owners reside in a separate area adjacent to the Inn. This unique feature affords privacy for the guests without compromising the guests' needs.Guest rooms feature oversized windows, lace curtains, private baths and fresh flowers. Enjoy the feeling of being in your own home at The Looking Glass, with its Butler's Pantry, sitting room and parlor, all for the guests' use. A television is available in the sitting room; relax on our breezy front porch.
Decorated in a masculine style, Bailey's Room is reminiscent of a library or study. It features a queen size bed and adjoining, private bath. The timeless look of the Waverly toile fabric in brown and black gives this room a classic comfort our guests enjoy. Three lovely bay windows overlook one of the village's prettiest streets, Chestnut Street.
Sleeping Beauty, a charming and cozy second floor room with a queen size bed and in-room bathroom and shower, honors the previous decorators and owners of the Bed and Breakfast.
Mittens' Room can sleep two or three with a white iron daybed or sofa; the queen bed has a delicate green iron headboard. Decorated in a charming floral and vine design by Gramercy, this bright and sunny room has an adjoining, private bath with old-fashioned skirted tub.
On the first floor, adjacent to the sitting room and Butler's Pantry, is the Cherry Blossom Room. Originally the summer kitchen of the house, it is the most private of our rooms with a queen bed and private bath. This room features a separate entrance, in-room pedestal sink and an enclosed sun porch.

My girlfriend and loved our stay at The Looking Glass. The house was beautiful, and Cari was a wonderful hostess. The town is charming, and there is plenty to do and see in the areas around Rhinebeck. I highly recommend the B & B.

Warm, hospitable, low-key. Rooms homey, breakfast awesome. The butler's pantry is extremely well stocedk and a generous, unusual addition. Recommend!

This was a very nice place to stay and was very close to the festival grounds. The only downsides were: - the wifi didn't extend to our room but was in the main building. - The showers and flushing were super loud so you could hear it from almost every room in the building.

Stayed during the week of the fair. Central location made it easy to walk to local restaurants, stores, and the fairgrounds and onsite (and off street) parking made it easy to get around with the added traffic. Owner was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was excellent, we didn't notice any noises at night (from outside or inside) and a/c kept the room as cold as we needed. Amenities (pantry with snacks and mini fridge, umbrellas, coffee to-go, etc.) were an additional treat. All around a GREAT place to stay and we will absolutely book again when we are in the area.

This is a wonderful place to stay on a beautiful street, a very tastefully renovated and maintained old home with grace and charm. Service is excellent, host is great, breakfast is well prepared and interesting. Couldn't be better.

Cari is a very gracious host and her home is beautiful. She made us a terrific breakfast and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. I would definitely come back here next time I am in Rhinebeck.

Because it's in Rhinebeck, you get less space for your money than in a less trendy place. Go when the weather is warm so you can hang out on the nice porch. Cari is lovely.
