18 Bedroom Victorian Inn in continuous operation since 1865. Owned by the same family for three generations. Voted one of three finalists by the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Associations "Bed & Breakfast of Distinction" 2007 & 2008. Our rooms are, as our guests have said..."so lovely, unexpected. I love how each room is different." "We feel right at home here." All our rooms have own private bath, cable TV, a/c, in-room coffee makers. We have rooms with fireplaces and single deep jacuzzi tubs. An award-winning restaurant is on the premises, also serving as an extern teaching kitchen for the Culinary Arts of America. The restaurant serves German-American food, from classic German Scnitzel to steaks and seafood dishes. We're open all year and hold theme weekends throughout. Home of the Original German Alps Festival. We are small and flexible and offer some of the best views in the Catskills such as our 40-mile view of Massachusett's Berkshire Mountains to the East from our very best rooms. Over 100 acres with 6 acre lake and trails. Close to hiking, golfing and the ski slopes of the Catskill Mountains as well as Woodstock, Cooperstown, and Howe Caverns. We offer therapeutic massage by appointment. We're simple, uncomplicated and friendly...That's our style!

    One of my favorite places

    June 08, 2013

My husband and I visit the Bavarian Manor at least twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. We also got married here. It is one of my favorite places to visit. The rooms are quaint, clean and lovely. The food in the restaurant and for breakfast is wonderful. I would wholeheartedly recommend this inn for your stay.

    A Delightful B&B

    May 20, 2013

I accidentally reserved the wrong days. I arrived a day earlier than I reserved. The friendly staff accommodated me anyway. They went out of their way to welcome my spouse and I after our day long drive. The Bavarian Manor is a trip into the past with a relaxing charm away from all the technology driven distractions. However WiFi and cable TV was available for those who needed a fix. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Relax and enjoy the view!

    May 09, 2013

Welcoming, warm staff invite you to slow down and smell the lilacs. The inn is from another era, but that is part of the charm. The food is fantastic. If you want to decompress, this is the place to do it!

Charming old Inn with a classic German restaurant

    May 03, 2013

The Bavarian has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years. We have driven through rain, sleet and snow to get here for the most outstanding German cuisine around. The Schnitzels, Sauerbratten and Rouladen are great favorites. Suzanne and Stan are so accomodating, and really lovely people. They employ a terrific staff in the inn and the restaurant. The inn is 150 years old and still has many of it's original architectural details, although recent renovations to modernize rooms have kept it current and up to date. There are antiques and nice casual country appointments throughout without being 'fussy'. The rooms range from cozy bedrooms to large suites, many with great views of the eastern mountains and of the lake on the property. There are nice hiking trails on the near 200 acres the Oldakoski's own, and you are free to room about the place-maps of the property are available. My partner and I finally decided after eating here so many times we would stay here as well. It's really nice having a wonderful German dinner and just walking upstairs, or joining in for a drink in the busy Tap Room where the local folks meet to chat and catch up on news. Then in the morning come downstairs for a full delicious made to order breakfast before setting out on your day in the Catskills. We highly recommend the Bavarian for the dining and the Inn. A great place to unwind and relax.
