Elliot stayed here with a buddy of mine while en route to Albany by bicycle. We were really impressed with this B&B. The house is really special: super clean, organized, very relaxed, and the inn keeper is wonderful and helpful and very kind and prepared a delicious gourmet breakfast. We had a very nice stay in Poughkeepsie and would recommend this B&B without any reservation.

Beautiful surroundings, pleasant and warm staff, authentic home cooked food, charming atmosphere - beyond my expectations. Photos don't do the interior justice - so beautiful and romantic, and perfectly decorated. And the modern luxuries like a huge bathroom with vintage accents - large metal lined claw foot tub was heaven! - were a welcome comfort. Truly a great experience.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Copper Penny Inn. It's a beautiful old house that has been kept up meticulously with antique furnishings and a welcoming feeling. We enjoyed a peaceful night of sleep in one of the most comfortable beds in which I've ever slept. The owner was extremely friendly and helped us plan out our activities in the area - giving us detailed mapped-out directions. We enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast. (the best peach preserves we've ever had!) All in all, a great place with wonderful and friendly owners and staff.

    GREAT Place to stay!

I found this property via a search on the web. I am pleased to inform you that this place is fantastic ... nice layout, great hosts, and a fantastic breakfast! The Copper Penny Inn has a Culinary student on staff; he and the owner create a different breakfast every day. I was a guest for seven nights (business trip) and plan to return every time I am in the area. It was a pleasure staying here.
