A very pleasant and comfortable B and B. Be aware of very steep hill up from the village which we coped with by using taxis. We could not fault the accommodation. Many thanks to Barbara and Dan.

My daughter and I stayed the night of my nephews wedding. We where hard pressed to find accommodations being as it was memorial day weekend 2011. Nevertheless, Barbara and her husband Daniel prepared a wonderful suite for us and we where so glad to have experience the stay at Ransome Inn. This is a quaint cozy home located at the top of the hill in Port Jefferson Harbor. You could walk to the harbor events if you chose. This Inn is immaculate and decorated in a Victorian furnishings. The Inn's suite sports a huge guest bathroom with a separate shower. The In-keepers are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was great I choose mixed fruit, all fresh with kiwi and strawberries, my favorite. Hot fresh coffee and a beagle with cream cheese. Barbara made one of the other guests a wonderful omelet with fresh herbs from the garden! I was impressed! Oh and the gardens and flower's are so gorgeous! The yard and grounds are kept with such care that there is no way you can match the love that is put into this Bed and Breakfast. If you could use a quick renewal of faith in humanity spend some time at the Ransome Inn. Love and Best wishes to you and yours, Dianne (Gundersen) Meltzer.

We rented the "carriage suite" which looked like a room over the garage. Turned out to be a lovely spacious apartment. Barbara & her husband were very hospitable and left us a bottle of wine. Loved their dogs. Would definitely return.

Besides welcoming us into their home, they made us feel like one of the family, taking care of every need and concern. They even catered to my 2-year-old's little needs. Thank you and thank you again.
