Upon arriving at The Ransome Inn, you will be greeted by all the conveniences of your home and office while treating yourself to an abundance of indulgences waiting for you. The house has private and secure parking. A courtesy pick-up may be arranged from the local ferry or train for those traveling without transportation. The Inn's charm and warmth make even business travel a bit more relaxing. Fresh flowers fill each room.
Our suite accommodation includes both a sitting room for reading or relaxing and a separate bedroom with a queen size bed. The suite has a spacious private bath, including a free standing shower and whirlpool tub to make your stay comfortable. Our guest room is suitable for two adults in twin beds, with a private bath. Both accommodations feature cable television and a complimentary service bar for your convenience and enjoyment. Guests can depend on our personal computer and fax machine.
Our guests enjoy our established perennial gardens that surround our private, enclosed hot tub that can ease even the weariest travel bones. The Ransome Inn specializes in accommodating the important and specific needs of each and every guest. We welcome individual guests as well as guest families. Each morning, you'll be greeted by a sumptuous complete breakfast. When weather permits, outdoor dining can start your day.
The Ransome Inn is within walking distance of our historic downtown, which features a unique shopping experience and waterfront special events. While strolling through our business district, stop by our museum for an exhibit, take in a show at Theater Three, or visit our wonderful deep water harbor and docks to unwind. Both St. Charles and Mather hospitals are within walking distance Stony Brook Hospital and University is 10 minutes away and New York City and the Hamptons are only an hour away.

Directions: Take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) to Exit 62 North---Nicolls Road (C.R.97). Go North on 97 toward Stony Brook (about 8 miles) to the end of the road. Turn right onto Route 25A, traveling east through Setauket, until you reach Port Jefferson Village (about 4 miles). When you reach the center of the village, continue straight on to East Broadway (the ferry terminal and Danford's will be on your left). Head up the hill. When you reach the top of the hill, you will see the entrance to Belle Terre on your left.
