Los Gatos Bed & Breakfast

Our first visit here was four years ago and we keep coming back each year. They are excellent hosts, warm and friendly and they know the area whether you want to know about wineries, what events are going on or where to eat during the day.

Located in the quiet country but just a mile or two from town, it is a few minutes from Keuka Lake and nearly as close to Seneca Lake. Our room, like the others, had a private bath, TV, and wi-fi, and was very clean, comfortable, and homey. It even included a small fridge. Common areas (living room, kitchen, sun porch) give places to relax and talk with other guests if you'd like. Burnie loves to cook from scratch, and breakfasts were wonderful. Burnie and Sue are great hosts and are generous with extras. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will recommend activities based on your interests.

For first time BnB stayers we really had no idea what to expect. Well, whatever expectations we may have had were blown away by friendliness and hospitality. I felt at home from the second we walked on the grounds. Susan and Burney were helpful yet not smothering. They were very knowledgeable about the area and I felt at ease picking their brains for local gems. Their homemade breakfast and products were absolutely delectable and I would return for them alone! Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend Los Gatos to anyone looking for a home-away-from-home while in the Finger Lakes.

We had a wonderful two days at this B&B. The hosts were gracious and friendly and prepared wonderful breakfast for us each morning. Will go back again.

My partner and I stayed at Los Gatos in Penn Yan the weekend before Christmas 2012, having found a deal on Living Social. We stayed in the Blue Room, which is very spacious with a seating area, two chairs, electric fireplace, and private bath. Rooms are placed well and feel relatively private, no two sharing a common wall. A sitting room, screened porch, and kitchen/dining room (with occasional fresh treats), are accessible 24-hours. Burney and Susan, the proprietors, were personable and very helpful in suggesting tips to find local attractions and wineries to suit our taste. Burney made a delicious breakfast from scratch each morning. On our second morning we shared good conversation over breakfast with two couples in their late 20's to early 30's. Breakfast is the only meal served at this inn. We both recommend Los Gatos whole heartedly. The inn is spotless, food delicious, and Burney and Susan are great hosts.

We had a marvelous time! The food was completely homemade, even the condiments!!! Our hosts were more than accommodating, and they ensured we had everything we wanted and needed! We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!

Great location for the wine tour get-a-way. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is top notch. The hosts are very friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay the best.

Burney and Susan are gracious hosts and they're happy to share information about the Finger Lakes to help you make the most out of your visit. The property is beautiful. It might be hard to choose between the Grand Suite in the house and one of the two log cabins. We chose a cabin and spent a cozy two nights.

After reading many positive reviews for Los Gatos, we chose this B&B as our base of operations for this weeklong stay in the Keuka/Seneca area. We were not disappointed. We chose to stay in Cabin #1 (AKA: Casa Verde) and found our accommodations cozy, comfortable and clean. Because my wife and I are both larger than we should be, we would have preferred a King bed, but slept fairly well anyway in the provided Queen. The shower only bath was large and included built-in seats for comfortable lower extremities cleansing. The two chairs provided in the sitting area of the cabin were almost too deeply comfortable, as we found ourselves needing to help each other to get out of them. Burney & Susan were wonderful hosts and provided really delicious, homemade breakfasts with fresh local ingredients, including some from their own extensive, high-tech gardens. The setting is beautiful and bucolic, located in a recently NY State-designated official Mennonite Community. The fact that we stayed here during peak "leaf-peeping" season only made it more colorful and scenic. The location is centrally located for exploring both the Keuka and Seneca Wine Trails and, if you're staying just a little longer, the Cayuga Trail can also be included. There are a good number of adequate to exceptional dining places located within a 30-45 minute drive from the B&B, with several located in the nearby town of Penn Yan. Overall...a very pleasant and satisfying experience which we can heartily recommend to all but the most jaded of travelers.

I spent twelve wonderful days with Burney and Susan at their wonderful B and B. The rooms are large; quiet; comfortable and the beds are made for great sleeping. Burney's breakfasts are remarkable; each day something new and delicious with homemade sorbet, juices, scones, Dutch Babies and Clafuties-on and on-and fabulous. Extra touches of beautiful flowers and often an evening treat with Susan's pies or cakes in the evening. Susan has a contageous laugh that puts everyone at ease. They really go the extra mile for their visitors! I can't wait to return!

This B&B was recommended by a friend, so glad we took her advice! Burney and Susan were welcoming from the moment we pulled up. We stayed in a cabin, which we were very pleased with. Breakfast was made from scratch and delightful; dutch baby, french toast, belgian waffles, and homemade jams / syrup was some of the spread. One of my most relaxing trips in years :-)

Just spent an anniversary get away at Los Gatos and didn't leave disappointed. Burney and Sue were great host and cook up some awesome breakfast treats. We stayed in one of the cabins and enjoyed the privacy and relaxation. The location is perfect for those who want to enjoy both Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Los Gatos was everything that it was promised, looking forward to a return trip.

My husband and I and our two friends just returned from a long weekend in the Finger Lakes. This was our second stay at Los Gatos. This time we stayed in the cabins. Great experience. Rooms are clean and lovely. Susan and Burney are very welcoming and knowledgeable about points of interest in the area and the local wineries. Breakfasts are amazing! Fresh homemade jam, jelly, juice - delicious.

My wife and I stayed at Los Gatos B&B the 3rd weekend in July and simply had a wonderful experience. Burney and Susan are exceptional hosts, know the area very well, are extremely accommodating and made us feel at home. If you want to stay in a great B&B, then stay at Los Gatos. We had the pleasure of staying at the Los Gatos B&B for two nights on our first getaway since having kids eight years ago! You can find no better, more knowledgable, and more attentive hosts than Susan and Burney!! The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. The property was very well cared for and guests are encouraged to roam the expansive grounds and even nibble from the garden! The real story of why Los Gatos is the best place to stay is the care that Burney and Susan put into their guests. The breakfasts are out of this world: I am still dreaming of the Dutch Babies with strawberries! This was our first stay at a B&B and I am afraid nothing will ever compare to this experience! Los Gatos was a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful countryside. It was centrally located between Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Burney and Susan were very hospitable and thought of our every need. The facility was clean and welcoming. Breakfasts were creative, delicious and nicely presented. My fiancee and I just spent a very relaxing, very peaceful weekend at Los Gatos B&B in the Finger Lakes region. This was our second trip up to the area, but our first stay at Los Gatos. Burney and Susan have a beautiful home and property and are extremely welcoming to their guests. The cabin in which we stayed was especially cozy, well decorated, comfortable, and private. In addition, our hosts provided us with great advice, local knowledge, and excellent breakfasts. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I went for a weekend get away. Located in the middle of wine country it gave us lots of opportunity to quickly get to wineries, a public market and great restaurants. The cabin was perfect for us. Provided us some privacy while still getting the b&b feel. Rooms in the house were great too. (We took a peek). The food was out of this world. Left us full through lunch where we only needed a small snack to make it to dinner. The owners were accommodating on our late arrival and very warm and knowledgeable of the area. Great Value! I promise you will not be disappointed! I can't wait to return!

They take breakfast seriously and it was great. The entire house is unbelievably clean and everyone was so friendly. I definitely recommend it. Also, all the recommendations they made for food and wine were spot on.

We've stayed in several hotels and B&B's over the past few years while exploring the wine trails in the Finger Lakes. This was our third visit to Burney and Susan at Los Gatos, and we feel like we're visiting dear friends. The facilities are impeccably kept, the gardens and grounds pristine and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. Susan's warm touches and art/antique choices make for a lovely stay. Burney's breakfasts are worth the trip alone. Convenient to all the lakes and easy navigation between and among them. Burney & Susan also provide great advice on the best places for dining and shopping - including some lesser publicized but terrific places.

This was a return trip for us. The accomodations are beautiful and comfortable. Susan and Burney are always very hospitable, and their breakfasts are delicious! We've already booked another stay at Los Gatos.

A belated review of our second visit to Los Gatos with apologies to Sue and Burney...their hospitality deserves a more timely review. Having said that, we stayed at Los Gatos in early November and were lucky with exceptional weather. We stayed in one of the cabins and had an absolutely wonderful experience, much like our initial visit in the previous February. Sue and Burney always help us feel like old friends and their hospitality in boundless. The cabin is immaculate and very comfortable and only a few steps from the main house where Burney's culinary delights greeted us each morning. A leisurely breakfast with their company is greatly appreciated and Burney always comes up with a special dish to start the day. We love the Finger Lakes and enjoy visiting the wineries and Los Gatos serves as a great home base from which we went to Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga lake wineries. The Baron's recommendations for restaurants in the area is also greatly appreciated as they have a good handle on the better eateries in the region. For a relaxing getaway I couldn't give the Finger Lakes region and Los Gatos B&B a higher recommendation. We will certainly be back.

Visited the finger lakes for an overnight stay with another couple. This was our second visit to Los Gatos and we will be back again. Susan and Burney are great hosts. Cabins were cozy and breakfast was once again a hit.

We fell in love with Los Gatos the first night of our stay. Burney & Sue have become friends as have the cats. We have stayed in the spur of the moment & we have made plans to stay. Warmth & friendliness and a relaxation greet us each time. It is the B&B for us.

Beautiful and welcoming B&B in the Finger Lakes. We've stayed at many, and this was a great introduction for our son and daughter-in-law to the B&B experience. The setting, breakfast, and hosts can't be beat. Choose the upstairs suite with the full deck -- what a view of the landscape!

My husband and I have never been to a B & B because we just didn't think it was our taste. Friends of ours made the reservations so we just went along with it. We just loved it. We stayed in their cabins and were so comfortable. Burney and Susan were warm and friendly hosts not to mention Burney's amazing breakfasts each morning. We booked the cabins again for next year before we left! There are several wineries close by and Susan has great tips on what to see and do. You won't be disappointed!

This was our first stay at a B & B, so I can't compare it to others, but we loved staying here! Burney made delicious homemade breakfast food & Susan served it with a smile. They are wonderful hosts - not intrusive, but friendly & talkative. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. I especially loved the cats & garden. The location is close to all the Finger Lake activities.A slight negative was the bed in our room was quite high & a little hard to get into - but I'm short!

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Los Gatos. It was wonderful! The breakfasts were delicious, imaginative, and loaded with fresh fruit and delicious homemade jams. Susan's flowers are beautiful and compliment the warm and sunny surroundings. Susan and Burney were very gracious and attentive to all our needs. The cabins are romantic, beautifully decorated and in perfect condition. We viewed all the rooms and they are all equally beautiful and private. The B&B is the perfect location for quick access to Keuka and Seneca Lakes and is in a peaceful country setting. It was a perfect getaway with warm sunny days and clear cool nights...perfect for stargazing which Burney was more than happy to give us a tour of the night sky! Overall, a very pleasurable experience and I would not hesitate to return to this location!

And I'm not easily convinced to do such things. We loved being able to sip a cup of coffee (or a cup of tea for my wife) early in the day while taking in the views from the deck after a great night's sleep in a clean, comfortable, and private room. To have that followed by a great breakfast by two of the most gracious hosts you could ever meet made our stay perfect. I will not hesitate to book here again!...hopefully soon!

this was the first time we visited the finger lakes area, the accommodation & advise of the B&B owners was excellent. we will use their facility again, very central to drop off to many points of interesting & touring, our experience was most pleasueable, relaxing, and just down right comfortable.

Los Gatos is a delightful B&B in a small town country setting. Hosts, Burney and Susan are wonderful. They are so thoughtful and helpful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

We stayed at Los Gatos for two nights. The hosts are very warm and friendly people. They make you feel at home. The facilities were spotless. The breakfast meals were some of the best we have ever had. Would go back there the next time we are in the area.

We stayed in Casa Azur for our weekend in the Finger Lakes region. We are not usually bed and breakfast people, but we will definitely stay at this one again, if we are up that way. Bernie and Susan are excellent hosts (and excellent cooks). The cabin was very clean and comfortable and self-contained. The overall property is gorgeous with plenty of spaces for relaxing and enjoying the view. You can float in the pool or sit on the swing and see the stars or pick a strawberry right off the vine. If you get back to Los Gatos in time and the night sky is clear, you can gaze at the stars and get an astronomy lesson from Bernie. The breakfasts were fabulous. We didn't want to eat again until dinner! We'll be back if we come this way again. Highly recommended.

A wonderful vacation experience. I recommend this B&B to anyone who appreciates really high quality accommodations.

My boyfriend and I went up to the Fingerlakes for a long weekend and we had such a relaxing visit knowing that Los Gatos was our destination. The breakfast was phenonmenal as was the service. The room was spotless and always ready for when we got back from our tours. I willl definately make this our number one bed and breakfast when visiting. I will highly recommend them to anyone asking where to stay!

I have stayed at Los Gatos 3 times so far, and I will be back for more. The rooms are large and comfortable, as are the common areas for guests; all are nicely decorated without being cluttered. Burney and Sue go more than the extra mile for their guests, and the cats who really own the B&B just make the whole experience all the more amazing. But be warned: their breakfasts may spoil you for any other B&B you might stay at. I have yet to find any that even come close to the level of what you will find waiting for you every morning.

We were amazed at this bed & breakfast. In fact, the second night we did not go out for dinner, but ordered a pizza for delivery so we could enjoy the amenities. The Innkeepers are doing it all right!!!!

Our Group took all rooms. All normal issues were outstanding, and the icing on the cake was the extras. Since we don't drive our cars dirty, we were provided with car washing facilities. The late night snacks were welcome. We also learned from their innovative gardening and appreciated the homemade menu items.

My wife and I visited the Finger Lakes to tour the many wineries. I stumbled upon Los Gatos after searching several other inns. I'm so glad I found it. We especially loved the cabin, which allowed us to have our own separate space while still enjoying the wonderful main house. Burney and Susan were very helpful in providing advice on where to go and what to do. Burney was always at the front door whenever we returned from an excursion, offering to help carry anything from the car to the cabin. Keuka Lake has lots of stuff, while nearby Seneca Lake has tons of places to visit. We even ventured to Cayuga Lake. Overall we were greatly satisified with our stay.

Recently my wife and I stayed for two nights at Los Gatos Bed & Breakfast. Hosts, Burney and Susan, were made us feel at home right away. Our room was in the main house on the top floor which had a sitting room, private bath and bedroom. We had a beautiful deck which overlooked the Finger Lakes countryside. We sat outside and admired the stars both nights. Our room was clean, well appointed and quiet. Breakfast was extensive and delicious both mornings. The breakfast table was located in the sun porch overlooking the pool. Los Gatos is centrally located and gave us the ability to go different directions each day.

The scenery is beautiful at this Finger Lakes area B&B. The cabins are private, breakfasts are outstanding, and the hosts are very accomodating.

Los Gatos had everything you would want from a B&B. It offered great hospitality, wonderful accommadations and some of the most delicious breakfasts I have ever eaten. Burney and Sue made us feel like this was our home.

This was my initial experience with a bed and breakfast and the Barons provide a benchmark that would be hard to match. My partner and I decided to explore some wineries in the Finger Lakes and Los Gatos provides a central location for such an adventure. The rooms are tastefully decorated with private baths which gives the guest a real sense of privacy. The house is immaculate and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious. The Baron's warmth and hospitality provide the icing on the cake and their knowledge of the area is helpful for those looking to experience the Finger Lakes to the utmost. We plan to return in the future and would recommend Los Gatos to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable bed and breakfast.

We stayed here in December with friends after the rush of the "Deck the Halls" events and had a wonderful time. The rooms are excellent and the breakfasts are even better! And the special treatment with a freshly baked grape pie....wait I may be starting something here...but it was delicious and I had to comment on it! Thanks again for a great stay.

Found this B&B from online search of Finger Lakes area. It met or exceeded all of my expectations. Good location, beautiful room and surrounding grounds, very good breakfasts, and owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this B&B to anyone contermplating a visit to the area.

Stayed in Grand Suite for 2 nights-clean, quiet, and lovely accommodations. The owners were incredibly friendly, down-to-earth, and made us feel comfortable. This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and we would absolutely come back!

We were the only guests in early June. What a great place- felt like home! Loved the kitties and the delicious breakfasts. Great hosts...stayed in one of the cabins. One day it was raining and an umbrella magically appeared in the room. We noticed the attention to detail. Wished the restaurants were open later, but we learned to have great lunches and light dinners. Susan did leave us an incredible coffee cake one evening :) We know where we will stay when we visit the Finger Lakes, no doubt about it!

We stayed in one of their cabins which was quite cozy and private as it was separated from the main building. The breakfast was good. Also apreciated the WiFi internet access to stay in contact with the outside world. We highly recommend this B&B. Pennsylvania

Our friends and we stayed in the two adjacent cabins....highly recommended! They are cozy and private, with a lovely porch with rocking chairs. Susan and Burney are gracious hosts who took the care to make sure my diabetic husband had plenty of appropriate choices at breakfast. We would definitely go there again!

Don't let the unassuming look of this property deceive you. The cabins are magnificently comfortable and completely private, and the grand suite was like being in our own private home. Burney and Susan are so humble and genuine and friendly - and OH the BREAKFAST! We returned this year for a landmark birthday celebration and brought both our kids and their spouses - we had the most wonderful time. Burney is a wealth of knowledge on the local restaurants and attractions. Stay here. You will not regret it, and you WILL come back!

A hidden gem we found last minute. Relaxing and affordable. Best Finger lakes attractions are an easy drive away. Susan & Burney are great hosts.

Burney and Suan are great hosts. The Grand Suite is very nice and quite comfortable for three. The view from the balcony was awesome. We felt very comfortable. The breakfasts were superb and it was very enjoyable to talk to the other guests in such a relaxing atmosphere. The location was super for touring the wineries on both Keuka and Seneca lakes. We also booked a wine tour through Los Gatos and the guide provided was extremely nice and made us feel quite pampered with opening the doors for us and carrying our purchases!

We stayed in one of the cabins and it was spectacular. New, bright, clean and first class. The breakfasts were terrific with home made, home cooked breakfasts. Upscale features like chocolates in the room, wireless internet, cable TV and an umbrella.

My husband & I decided on a nice get-away during the fall foliage in the Finger Lakes. We just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in July but opted for a fall road trip to NY. I started browsing the Internet and after my Pastor's stamp of approval on Los Gatos B & B (he & his wife stayed in one of the cabins)...I checked out their attractive web site and soon booked our 2 night stay! We were in awe with the cabin, amenities...and the grounds were just beautiful. We can't say enough about the Innkeepers, Burney & Susan! The breakfasts were delectable. We enjoyed our stay...cabin and porch were just so quaint...A+! Kudos to Burney & Susan!

Nestled between two wine trails in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Los Gatos has beautiful surroundings, clean and comfortable accomadations and delicious breakfast. It is close to museums, wineries, casual dining and beautiful Keuka lake.

We arrived from Geneva and what a welcome surprise! Burney and Susan, the innkeepers, are so pleasant and accomodating. The Casa Azul was cozy and private and the garden is so fantastic! Breakfast is delicious, whatelse can you ask for?!

This B&B has a unique feature -- two separate one-room cabins which were very comfortable, private and convenient to the main house. I would definitely recommend the cabins.

What a pleasant surprises. We stayed in the Suite- 2 nice rooms and a bathroom (looks recently updated). Every thing was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was yummy- Susan and Burney even had sugar free syrup on the table (nice touch for the diabetic)! The view was nice. It was a nice location, close to both Keuka and Seneca. The house was full of fresh cut flowers- beautiful! Susan sent me down to her garden on my way out to cut some dahlias for myself! We will be coming back.

Susan and Burney were very helpful and personable hosts. They have taken a lot of thought to do things that are helpful for their guests. The Sage room was clean and very attractive, the bed comfortable, and having recliners and tv with dvd player in the rooms was a nice touch. The grounds are incredible, with Susan's flower gardens stunning and inviting to walk through and enjoy nature. Loved Burney's breakfasts and the homemade jams and syrups!

What a charming place to land after touring the Keuka Lake wineries. We enjoyed sipping our wine on the cabin front porch overlooking the beautiful gardens, after relaxing over a nice lakeside dinner which was recommended by our hosts. Burney and Susan are very gracious to their guests and the breakfast was delicious!!!

My wife and I recently stayed at Los Gatos for the second time. We stayed in the Grand suite, which is the entire second floor and a recently added private balcony. Burney and Sharon are so nice. Breakfast was a hit each morning. Their preserves and homemade apple cider syrup are out of this world. They are very helpful when it comes to planning your day and for local dinner selections. Absolutely loved spending time at the breakfast table with the other guests, also. We'll be sending people there and can't wait to get back ourselves.

This was a sister getaway from our parents for our birthdays. We got away for an overnight without my children. We would be hitting some of the local wineries and doing some tastings. We found Los Gatos online and compared it to some of the other local B&Bs. We loved the look of the little cabins on their property and their breakfast menu sounded wonderful. When I called to make the reservation, Susan was very helpful and even asked about any food allergies. I was grateful she did, because I have many. She said it was no problem that they could accomodate me. When we arrived for our getaway, Burney was there to greet us and gave us a tour. They had a wonderful tasting garden where we sample strawberries, raspberries and fresh tomatoes. They have several cozy places to sit and relax and even complimentary hot and cold drinks for us whenever we wanted them. Our cabin was wonderful with its own air condintioning and cozy design. We sat on our own porch in great rustic rocking chairs with hot tea and rocked until it got dark. Breakfast was at 9:00, but wonderful coffee was ready at 8:00. The breakfast was superb. It started with a frozen fruit slush that was very refreshing and the we each received this huge dutch baby crepe with warm scones and bacon. They make their own jams and we sampled all them along with a wonderful syrup that they make themselves. They gave us time to eat and then came out to chat with us after. We sat on the sun porch with was wonderful. We loved the jams and syrup so much that we both ended up buying some to take home. We had a wonderful time, just what we needed. If we ever came to the area again we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Los Gatos B&B was a delightful experience in a beautiful setting very close by to Finger Lakes wineries and good restaurants. Excellent hospitality from our hosts, and delicious breakfasts as well made it a warm and comfortable experience.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at Los Gatos. Burney and Susan, the owners of the B&B, were very hospitable and welcoming. We stayed in a lovely, first floor, newly remodeled "Blue Room". It was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the living room next to our bedroom for relaxing and reading by the fireplace. We also had an electric fireplace in our room. Very nice. Good breakfast. Beautiful view overlooking Benton Valley. Enjoyed the cats.

My wife and I spent 2 nights in one of the cabins at Los Gatos this past June, as part of a 5 day exploration of the Finger Lakes, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We had never stayed at a B&B before, and weren’t sure what to expect from the more intimate setting than a normal hotel. But as soon as we arrived, we found Los Gatos to be a warm, inviting, and well appointed B&B, it was really perfect. Also, my wife is vegan, and Susan and Bernie were so accommodating to that in their DELICIOUS breakfasts! The first day we had eggless Belgian waffles (didn’t notice the deletion one bit), along with a variety of spreads and syrups that Susan jars herself, using local fruit! The second day we had an egg dish along with a hearty granola and more fruit. Coffee was super, mornings got off to a really great start, and Penn Yan was a great jumping off point to explore Lake Keuka, Watikins Glenn, Canandeigua, and some other amazing gems of the finger lakes. Susan and Burnie are really magnificent hosts! One afternoon we found Bernie working in the garden, and we had a wonderful discussion about some of his innovative and sustainable garden projects. The grounds are just beautiful, a perfect place to reflect on a day of exploring, or to cool off in the not-too-chlorinated pool. We fell in love with the Finger Lakes and are looking forward to our next trip there...we’ll definitely stay at Los Gatos again!

This was our second stay with Sue and Burney and it was just as good as the first time ! We stayed in the first cabin (casa verde) just like last time and enjoyed just as much. Since I am a photographer and a astronomer I brought along my telescope and camera gear and got a chance to view the awesome open skies behind the property. It was very hot the days we were there so the pool was a welcome relief. The home cooked breakfast each day was also excellent, just like the last time we stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Los Gatos and plan on visiting Sue and Burney's lovely little slice of heaven again in the future.

Our first bed and breakfast experience, but ot our last! Bernie and Susan could not be nicer or more accomodating!! Their B&B is perfect, immaculate and private. A quiet, relaxing, country style atmosphere. Cabins are soo comfy. The breakfasts are the BEST, youll leave wanting more. A definite return vacation.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in a cabin, "Casa Verde". It was very nice, spacious and clean. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is just wonderful, all home-made from stratch. We had to leave early one morning, eith very little notice, and they accomodated us. They had 2 sittings. We would definately recommend and return to Los Gatos!!!!

We've been staying at various B&B's over the past 8yrs, and multiple within our past trip that included Los Gatos two night stay... it was by far the best stay in our trip and looking forward to a reoccurring return. This was more than just a place to stay the night, it was a vacation that was home away from home.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Los Gatos for a memorial day getaway and we defintiely picked the best B&B in the Finger Lakes!! Both Burney and Susan are very friendly and welcoming...and their cats are are equally as nice. The gorunds are beautiful and our room (the sage roome) was spacious and pretty, and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast both days was amazing, and the chocolate chip cookies in the evening were to die for. The other guests were fun and many of them were return visitors to the B&B, and it easy to see why one would want to come back. I would reccomend this B&B to anyone, it is the perfect combination of attentiveness and privacy, and very relaxing and beautiful.

This is our second visit to this B&B. Chose the largest room this time, but all accommodations are great. Owners are very friendly and the breakfasts are yummy! Very comfortable getaway in the Finger Lakes. They offer great packages.

This is a charming and very well maintained location. Decor is tastefull and functional. This was our first B & B but it wont be our last. The hosts are warm and inviting but appropriately discreat. The location is in easy driving distance to all prominent wineries in the area. Breakfasts were great with many homemade preserves etc. If you're looking for a wine country get away, this is an excellent choice.

Los Gatos was the first B&B I've ever stayed in and it exceeded my expectations. Susan and Burney were outstanding and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast and jams we out of this world!!

Our stay at Los Gatos was wonderfully relaxing and refreshing. We stayed in the Sage room which is very cozy with it's electric fire place and ornately decorated accomidations. The breakfasts were fabulous with fresh fruit, homemade dutch babies and french toast, and tasty sausage. The owners of the B&B define hospitality by always being welcoming, asking how your day was, and allowing you plenty of privacy for a relaxing stay. Visiting here feels like visiting friends in the country and you will be anxious to plan your next trip to this cozy treasure in the middle of the finger lakes wine region.

This place was super clean, super friendly, and just an awesome place to stay at any time of the year.

We (Houstonians) spent 2 nights at Los Gatos at the end of August '09 and found it to be a great base for our Finger Lakes exploration, and everything we had read about Burney and Susan on Trip Advisor and elsewhere proved totally true. The breakfasts really are spectacular, and Burney was also kind enough to set up his telescope and share his expertise with us, which made for a very special memory. All in all a really enjoyable stay.

We felt very welcome at Los Gatos and had a comfortable stay. It was a quiet and laid back weekend, which is exactly what we hoped for. Our next stay will be there in these cozy cabins they recently added. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend who is not exactly the computer wizard visit found this B&B online. He booked it as it was a valentines day present for me and after owning a restaurant and bar for 11 years, I sold and this was our first vacation away. I was leary because we had never been there and you always think will I be comfortable or feel awkward etc. I felt like I never left my home. Susan and Bernie are wonderful hosts and knowledgeable owners of the business all the way around. I never ate so well or so much. They knew right where we would love to eat once they chatted with us. They even had cookies waiting for us the night before Valentines Day on our return home. And when I say home I meant, there home. I got a recipe out of Bernie but he wouldn't agree to come back and help me with my projects. Do yourself a favor go and stay take the wine packages tell them what you want and they will do what they do best, entertain and send you in the right direction to where you will be extremely happy. I will never forget Los Gatos or Susan or Bernie thanks again guys will be sending you the homemade pierogies soon. I stay at Los Gatos B&B at least twice a year and as always, my experience this trip was fantastic! The room was lovely and clean, the food was wonderful, and Susan and Burney were friendly and helpful as always. I'd definately recommend Los Gatos as a great place to stay!!

Susan and Burney are great hosts! It's a friendly, comfortable place that we'll return to on our next visit. Burney prepared a different breakfast on each morning of our 4 night stay. All of them rated 4 stars, I especially enjoyed the sides of scones with jam (homemade of course!). Our room was spotless, and we liked the split floorplan which allowed plenty of privacy. We've had mixed experiences at B&B's in the past, but this is one we're already recommending to friends!

Our annual anniversary outing to Los Gatos was a delight as usual. great food, conversation, and accommodations. Just recommended Los Gatos to a Montana gal.

Susan and Burney are as warm and welcoming as their inn! We spent the weekend in one of the lovely cabins, enjoyed all the homemade food (outstanding breakfasts and a dessert set out each evening). Los Gatos is perfectly located for visiting wineries and checking out the Saturday morning market (Windmill), and Susan told us about the great auction house just down the road from the inn. We had a great time and will be back!

We stayed with Susan & Burney for 2 nights in mid-Oct for a weekend getaway from NYC. Their B&B is 3 miles north of Penn Yan and the top of Keuka lake, high on the plateau looking east over the farmlands, Seneca and Cayuga Lake glacial cuts. The hosts and the B&B were warm and hospitable, the breakfasts fresh baked, sweet and delicious, and the setting beautiful. Of the 3 house rooms we recommend the top floor suite with the private balcony very highly--great views and the least road noise. The two separate cabins are new, well appointed, with the strong aroma of fresh wood. The hosts own 3 cats so if you have allergies be sure to let them know. S & B are very knowledgeable about the area and have great recommendations for wineries, restaurants and other highlights. We enjoyed our stay with them immensely and recommend the Los Gatos experience very highly.

Staying at Los Gatos was our first B&B experience. Burney and Susan were very friendly and helpful, and do a wonderful job maintaining the place. We shy away from most B&Bs as we value our privacy, even when traveling. The cabins available here attracted us for that reason and did not disappoint as they are immaculate, well appointed and indeed private. Both Burney and Susan are competent, personable and helpful hosts who are available if you need them and respectful of your privacy should you not. The breakfast items were delicious, though the selection was limited. There is much to enjoy on this well kept property and we are more than comfortable recommending a stay here.

This was our first B+B stay we would definitely stay again. Both morning breakfasts were great, the room was very clean and tidy, and the host were friendly and helpful, especially with reservations and navigating the night stars via telescope.

This is our third time to the Finger Lakes area. We LOVED this B&B! The cabins are simply awesome. They give you the benefit of more privacy as they are located outside the main house, but they are close enough to the main house to feel connected to the dining area. The hosts, Burney and Susan go out of their way to make your stay special. The wonderful breakfasts were the best we have ever had at a B&B - you will definitely leave feeling like you were in a 5 star restaurant - everything is homemade! The location of the B&B is great for doing your wine touring, as well as visiting the local small towns surrounding the lakes. We will definitely return next year for our fall getaway.

My boyfriend found Los Gatos when searching for a B&B stay that included wine tasting. We had a fabulous time in the Finger Lakes, great hosts at Los Gatos, fabulous breakfasts, luscious wine tasting and can't wait to visit again soon! There is still so much for us to see and do!! We will definitely be returning to Los Gatos and the Finger Lakes region!!

We took the two night Escape package with the Grand Suite last summer. The place is beautifull and sparkling clean. The room was big, comfortable and pretty, with a fabulous view. It has a large private sundeck overlooking the pool and the lake. The breakfasts were delicious and varied, served with warmth and hospitality by the most gracious hosts. Will definitely go back. P.S.: The homemade jams are amazing :-)

We had a wonderful time at Los Gatos! The photos on their site do not do the B&B justice! Their property is amazing and the view is incredible! I was so excited when we arrived, and after the tour of the house and property we were thrilled that we booked such a great place! I am highly allergic to cats and didn't have any reaction!!! The cats are outside cats, the house is very clean, no cat hair and staying in the cabins were a perfect match for us! It was my boyfriend, friend and her husband that stayed the one bedroom cabins. Susan & Burney make homemade jams and jellies you have at breakfast, and they are also featured at local wineries and restaurants. You can even purchase their fresh roasted coffee and homemade jams and jellies to take home with you. Susan showed us great places to eat, and the wineries that specialized in Red Wine. Burney and Susan Baron are very gracious, thoughtful hosts whose comfortable accommodations are excellent. Their breakfasts are truly gourmet and reflect a great deal of thought and creativity. Breakfast in the gazebo with its beautiful view of Seneca Lake was a treat. My wife and I also appreciated Burney and Susan's vast knowledge of the area. All of their recommendations for attractions and restaurants were based upon their personal experiences. If the evening sky is clear, do not miss Burney's astronomy lesson.

We stayed in the cabin named Casa Azul. This was the perfect private hideaway with all the benefits of a bed and breakfast. The views and the property are beautiful and the inn keepers take such pride in keeping it this way. We met 2 of the 3 gatos who were sweet as could be. If you are allergic, do not let that stop you as we traveled with a friend who is allergic and she did just fine. You might be better off in the cabins if you do suffer from allergies but really this should not stop you. The breakfasts each morning were delightful. Stuffed Pineapple French Toast, Apple Dutch Babies, Belgian Waffles, fresh sausage, bacon, homemade plum granita, homemade english muffins, and a variety of homemade jams. I believe there was more, but the bottom line is that it was all delicious. The inn keepers were knowledgeable and very helpful with tips for anything you might want to know about the region. We were in search of good dry red wines and all of the places Susan recommended were excellent. Overall, we highly recommend Los Gatos!

We celebrated out 25th anniversary in one of our favorite areas in NY. the motel we stayed at our 1st night was a bad experience, but we sought out another place and found this lovely B&B. This was our 1st B&B experience. We were treated like royalty and have told everyone!

An ideal location in the heart of the Finger Lakes and wine tours. Burney and Susan are very friendly and gracious hosts. Their knowledge of the area and local restaurants was invaluable as we planned our days. The upstairs "suite" offers a separate sitting room and a very large private balcony deck overlooking the pool and miles of beutiful scenery. We spent three very enjoyable nights at Los Gatos and highly recommend it.

Our stay at Los Gatos was relaxing and delightful. Burnie and Susan are wonderful innkeepers, always attentive to the guests while allowing guests to feel comfortable. This is by far the BEST b&b experience we have ever had. The cabins are pristine, private and so comfortable. Burney and Susan are amazing and and the breakfast --- there are no words, FAR beyond our expectations. This is no continental breakfast and the home-made, cheerfully served breakfast alone makes this a definite return trip.

After an exhausting week of moving we were treated to an absolutely wonderful weekend in Penn Yan by Susan and Burney. The cabin we stayed in exceeded our expectations for privacy and comfort and Burney's breakfast was out of this world. I would highly recommend this B&B...you simply can't go wrong and its centrally located. Can't wait to go back.

We like to stay at B&B's whenever we travel. You get so many extras that just can't be found at the chain hotels. Los Gatos has the extras and then some. Every day was special - a fabulous, filling breakfast; beautiful and serene surroundings; hosts who know when to give a hand and when to give you space. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. The cabins provide additional privacy if that is preferred. A central location makes this the ideal home base for adventures throughout the Finger Lakes region. You are guaranteed a special stay at Los Gatos - Susan and Burney wouldn't settle for anything less!

Beautiful property and wonderful area for star gazing. Burney, the in-house astronomer, will be happy to share his love of the galaxies and invite you to the nightly show in the skies. Susan's love of flowers will surely impress you. Both of the owners are helpful and are ready to make your stay a wonderful experience. We stayed in the blue room and enjoyed our own private quarters. The refrigerator in the common area was well stocked with drinks including wine. Little chocolate treats were both in our room and in the living room of the home. You won't be disappointed staying at The Los Gatos. Yes, we did see a couple of friendly cats. By the way, Burney, also the chef, serves up a delicious breakfast with Susan re-filling any plate that is emptied.

Susan and Burney knew exactly when to be there with information and conversation and when to leave us to explore the facility by ourselves. The amenities they provide are exceptional and the rooms tastefully decorated. Gardens (flower and vegetable) both beautiful and interesting and breakfast delicious. A "must return to" spot.

The grounds and landscaping is first class, the room and public area was well maintained. he food must be consumed-words do not do it justice. Superb! Ten stars!!

We stayed at Los Gatos B&B in Penn Yan, NY on Thursday evening, June 18, 2009. Burney came out to greet us immediately upon our arrival and made us feel genuinely welcomed as he helped us with our luggage into an oversized & beautifully decorated room. Our first impression of the house was that it was immaculately clean & well maintained with the guests’ comfort in mind. We were the only guests that evening & were given a complimentary room upgrade. The room had A/C, a ceiling fan, TV, a queen sized sleigh bed with excellent mattress, large modern bathroom with a new ceramic tiled shower, elongated toilet, and a large luxury bowl sink built into a refinished antique cabinet as a vanity – all very tastefully done. There was an abundance of amenities from a fully stocked refrigerator with beverages & a beautiful country view. Burney & Susan are lovely and personable hosts. Morning brought a gourmet breakfast with fresh ground coffee specially roasted to Los Gatos specifications, fresh juice, poached pears with a sauce made from Susan’s homemade raspberry jam, followed by homemade English Muffins & Dutch Babies filled with asparagus, ham, & cream sauce topped with cheddar cheese. Burney & Susan gave us just the right amount of private time during breakfast, plus quality time engaging in interesting conversation with them. We toured the property including checking out the new separate cabins which are also available for overnight accommodations. Burney and Susan treated us like old friends as opposed to B&B customers. Los Gatos was centrally located within a convenient drive to all the area attractions and by far the nicest B&B that we stayed at. To sum it up: beautifully immaculate home & property, wonderful people, elegant décor, delicious food, and a great value for your money.
