The Murphy House is located in the historic district of downtown Oneonta. Only one block from Main Street, guests often enjoy a pleasant walk to a downtown cafe for dinner, or the sound of bells ringing from a nearby church. Noted for quality, the Murphy House offers two well-appointed guest suites, named after citizens from Oneonta's rich history: Lafayette Stanton and Mrs. C.S. Hanks. Each morning, coffee and the daily newspaper are available on a sunny indoor porch. 'Breakfast of the Day' may include quiche and homemade biscotti, or gingerbread pancakes with real whipped cream.     From NYC - NYS Thruway (I-87) to Kingston (Exit 19) to Rt 28W to Oneonta.

    From Albany - NYS Thruway West (I-90) to Exit 25A, I-88 exit. Exit I-88 at Oneonta Exit 15.

    From Binghamton and points South and West - I-88 E and exit at Oneonta Exits 14 or 15.

    Once in Oneonta - Main Street to Elm Street, then left on Walnut.

    • Closed: Only occassionally for family business
    • Check in time is 3 p.m.-10 p.m. and Check out time is 11 a.m.
    • Cancellations:
      Please inform us at least four weeks in advance if you need to cancel your reservation. If we are able to re-rent your room, we will gladly return your deposit, less a small service fee.
