Rosehill Bed and Breakfast

I needed a last-minute place to stay in New Rochelle and luckily found Rosehill. I was warmly welcomed and my room was immaculate, comfortable and spacious. It was during a terrible heat wave but Lisbeth had fans going and the air conditioning in my room blowing full blast so my room, and the house, were comfortable for me upon arrival. Lisbeth is a very kind and warm person and I was so grateful to have such a reasonable, beautiful, comfortable place to stay right in the heart of New Rochelle! She, and Rosehill, are gems!

Excellent bed and breakfast accomodation, very relaxing bedroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. When we are in New Rochelle visiting our son and family (we are from England) we will certainly stay at Rosehill again.

We stayed at the Rosehill bed and breakfast as a surprise for my husband's 37th birthday. We live just 20 min away and I was looking for a place close by, so we would not have to waste all our time on the "getting there" and enjoy some private time away from our 4 kids. I really did not know what to expect ,as there are very few reviews and there were no decent pictures of the rooms at the time (glad to see the pictures were updated and now actually look like the real thing...).I also was not sure that staying at someone's house would be exacly what i had in mind for a private romantic getaway. Because it was the end of November and all the hotels in manhatten were charging crazy Christmes prices,I decided to go for it and we were both very happy I did. Lisbeth was very warm and friendly,but gave us full privacy (even at breakfast ,she has a little lovely private space for the guests, and she stayes in her part of the kitchen,unless you call her for something you need).We really felt comfortable at all times. Lisbeth's house is very beautiful(and she even lit candels outside for us when we arrived, which added a very nice touch)and the room itself was big and and very very clean.The bed was huge and comfortable, the bathtub was somewhat old but we did'nt mind as it was spotless and had anything you would need in it.The street is quiet and there is plenty of parking space , so that was not an issue. There was not anything fancy for breakast- just oj,coffee,toast with spreads,cornflakes and some fruit,but, again, for us,this was just enough and gave us a good start for our next day out.We live in NY,very close by ,but if you are visiting NY city,this location is very convinient ,as it is just 25-35 min from Manhatten (I do not know what the public transportation is like from there,but am sure Lisbeth can provide this information).We really enjoyed our stay and will remember this as one of the better getaways we've had together.Thank you Lisbeth!

We visit family in New Rochelle every few months and this has become a home away from for us. The house is immaculately kept - there is a dog in the house which I am allergic to but have never had a problem because the house is so clean and the dog is kept away from the guest rooms. Lisbeth is extremely accomodating - a terrific innkeeper!

Home away from home atmosphere. On street parking & helpful hostess

This is not a "luxury" B & B. But if you're looking for a place to stay that feels like home, with very nice, clean accomodations (comfy king bed), and an innkeeper that treats you like family; look no further. The house and neighborhood are beautiful and convenient to NYC and the river towns, as well as the towns on the sound. Lizbeth is very friendly and un-intrusive, but still manages to make you feel like you're a visiting relative. And the price can't be beat! And for a great Italian meal, head on over to Agostino's, a true family-run gem. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back.

I had lived in New Rochelle for over 30yrs. Recently moved to the West Coast. Returned to New Ro to visit family and friends. Discovered RoseHill and my host Lisbeth Appel and found pure relaxation. Have returned twice. Feels like home. Immaculate and clean. Never knew we had a B&B.

Rosehill BnB is a great place to stay. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and welcoming. We felt at home right away. The house, the rooms and the neighborhood are beautiful. And the inkeepers‘ hospitality is more than outstanding!

My friend and I needed a place to stay near NYC and 2 Westchester County towns. There was a surprising absence of B&Bs and Rosehill B&B was the only option. It was a perfect choice. The proprietor is a gracious person, caring and consider of her guests and easy to be around. The home is beautiful and in a lovely, quiet neighborhood with easy access to the train station and anything else I could need. My husband and I hope to stay here soon. Certainly, whenever I need lodging around NYC, Rosehill will be it.

We stayed three days with our little son and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and appreciated Lisbeth`s helpful advices for our trips to the City. The room was cosy and clean, the breakfast was excellent, and after the crazyness of the Big Apple we were glad to come back to the peace of our temporary home. It was almost like staying with friends!

Had a wonderful 5 day stay with Lisbeth and her dog Django in October. Rosehill was like a (beautiful) home away from home in a great, quiet neighborhood -- and we look forward to spending time there again! Lisbeth is warm and welcoming and eager to make your stay pleasant -- she even went out to get granola for me, because I said I liked to have that at breakfast. This place is a real find!

Lovely large clean room, king-size bed and private bath. Breakfast substantial and delicious. Cheerful and helpful innkeeper -- saved my life by driving me to the airport when my taxi failed to arrive. Highest recommendation.

I challenge you to find a more delightfully restful bargain than the Rosehill B&B in this metro NY area! And it's just 20-25 minutes into NYC from here. It's very European feeling.

Rose Hill B&B was perfect for me, it was close to my work, easy to find, excellent breakfast choice of items, old fashioned wonderful bathroom with ambiance, tv, just what I needed, comfortable bed would recommend to anyone.

What a wonderful experience it was. My wife and I have traveled a lot around the world and this stay over at Rosehill B&B it definitely counts amongst the best.

There were five of us staying at the Rosehill B and B for our high school reunion. (I won't share the year!) This lovely Tudor had many things going for it: comfortable beds, places to sit, a nice dining area, a charming hostess and location, location, location--we were close to the reunion, and the special dinner. We hopped on and off nearby Hutchinson Parkway, and the neighborhood itself was welcoming. I'd definitely go again!

My family stayed here while in New Rochelle for a wedding. We booked 3 rooms. We were all very comfortable and enjoyed the lovely home and surroundings. Every need and request was graciously accommodated. Lisbeth was absolutely wonderful to deal with from beginning to end. Everyone in my family raved about our stay there and would certainly give it our best recommendation.

My daughter will be attending Iona College as a freshman this year. I needed something close and affordable as we are from VA Beach. Well this is it! I can walk to the campus and the price sure beats all the hotels in the area. Lisbeth is fantastic, the neighborhood is gorgeous, and it is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Thanks Lisbeth!

Traditional feeling with modern amenities. Comfortable atmosphere and responsive innkeeper. Fast from/to Bronxville, Queens, JFK, Brooklyn, Manhattan.

Lisbeth makes you feel as comfortable as family in her lovely Tudor style home. I am deeply appreciative of her gracious accommodation to extra needs.

Lisbeth was so helpful and a terrific person. Anything I needed she offered and even directions to many places. The house was quiet and the area was so beautiful. I compared some of the rates of the hotels and I could not afford them. Then, I thought if B&B were available in that area, and sure enough.
