This place has it all - lovely accomodations, great food, wonderful hosts. Couldn't imagine a better B&B. As long as Sam and Louis are the owners, we will keep returning. We had a great stay!

    Great B&B!

My husband and I chose The Great Tree Inn to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. The location was very peaceful. We stayed in the Victorian Violet Room, which was absolutely beautiful. The bed, with it's fluffy duvet and purple linens, was so comfortable! Sam was an amazing host and the food was delicious! We highly recommend enjoying one of her candlelight dinners! We definitely enjoyed our brief stay and would love to go back!

Whether short term or long term, the Great Tree Inn is for you!

For business reasons, I was required to travel (commute) on a weekly basis (Mon-Fri) to western NY for a period of no less than one year. For about 9 of those 12 months I stayed at the Great Tree Inn in Mayville, NY. During my stay I not only received outstanding service and unmitigated hospitality, I also got the chance to see the proprietor, Sam, "in action" with other guests. Sam was not only gracious and willing to make my stay feel like home, I could also tell (from first-hand experience) that she strove to make each and every guest feel like the Great Tree Inn was a "home away from home" to include accommodating special diets (e.g., kosher, diabetic, etc.), check in times (e.g., arriving late in the evening and welcoming them no matter the hour), and even entertainment outings (e.g., wine trail events, horse back riding, Chautauqua Institute forums, etc.). Yes, both Sam and her husband, Louis, truly made my extended stay pleasant, welcome and wonderful. I would recommend this Inn to anyone who is looking for a terrific value in exploring western NY and all that it has to offer. Sam and Louis are the best! Thank you both.

My daughter and I stayed here while we were doing colleg tours and going to tour SUNY Fredonia. Very lovely home and setting. Quiet except for a car going by once and a while. Innkeepers very pleasent and helpful with anything we needed. We were there in mid-April so alot of the areas' attections were not open yet. Dinning in the area was limited but did find suitable dinning w/help from the innkeepers. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Ours was a little small but find for our overnight needs. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to several friends. Big breakdfast and coffee and tea are always available oin the enclosed front porch, which is wonderful for breakfast. You can't go wrong staying here. Enjoy.
