Inn Details
The House, built in 1888 at the height of New York's Gilded Age, is a fine example of that period's splendid architecture. The luxurious and extravagant life-style of New York's wealthy at the turn of the 20th century is reflected in the building's sumptuous materials, precious woods, intricate carvings, gilding and plaster moldings, very generous proportions of living spaces, high ceilings, numerous and ample closet spaces, and every imaginable amenity. Situated on Mount Morris Park, a 10 minute subway ride to Times Square and a 5 minute walk to Central Park. Mount Morris Park is one of New York's landmark neighborhoods included in the National Register of Historic Places, the House has been meticulously restored with great respect for its original details and attention to all modern amenities. It has five bedroom suites with private baths and separate dressing rooms, winter and summer sitting rooms, ballroom, dinning room and garden. All rooms have the original fireplaces and mantels, cable television, DVD players, radio and alarm clocks and WiFi. Quiet and sunny, with great vistas of Mount Morris Park and a proprietor who is always ready to share his 30-year knowledge of New York life, it offers its guests an unforgettable experience of luxurious accommodation and personal care. Conveniently located near all public transportation, Wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars, Famous Jazz venues and Museums.

My sister and I stayed at Mt. Morris House for 7 days in August, 2011 and it far exceeded our already high expectations. The house and rooms are beautiful, the neighborhood is charming and friendly, and public transportation is close and reliable. We walked all over the neighborhood at all hours, and found everyone to be so friendly and upbeat. We loved our whole week visiting NYC, but this was definitely the highlight.
Sehr empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder !

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at MMH in September 2010 and enjoyed our hosts, our room, and our meals. Breakfast each morning with other guests gave us the opportunity to exchange our experiences. Wonderful location with access to transportation to all of the sites. Great restaurants in the area with reasonable prices! We will be back for sure

I go to Manhattan every year and I always stay at Mont Morris. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and very clean. I have been in other hotels, but nothing can top this one. The area is also really nice, with good restaurants nearby. Subway station is close tot the hotel. I really recommend it.
