Distinctively decorated guest rooms, a great location in historic Greenwich Village! Nine guest rooms in two 1850s townhouses offer guests a warm and inviting residential ambience with all the modern conveniences. Each room has a private bath. There is daily maid service. Each room is air-conditioned and has cable television, phone with answering machine and free local calls, free wireless high speed Internet access (with Wi-Fi 802.11 card installed on your computer), hair dryer, iron and ironing board, extra-thick plush mattress(es), comfortable bath robes, and a safe for valuables. Abingdon Guest House is in Greenwich Village on Eighth Avenue between W. 12th and Jane Streets, just a couple of blocks from Chelsea. This West Village neighborhood is an upscale, historic district with sidewalk cafes on cobblestone streets, lots of trees, parks, squares, a lovely new promenade by the Hudson River. Abingdon Guest House is near Village jazz clubs, Chelsea art galleries, SoHo shopping, and the boutiques and restaurants of the newly trendy Meatpacking District. On our Web site, you may view rooms, check room availability, and make a reservation request.

There is nothing good to say about Abingdon. Cramped, dingy little room with 25 W lightbulbs. The wifi doesn't work on the 3rd floor. They don't even offer decent shower products, just some generic all-in-one "shower/shampoo" liquid and no body lotion. Not enough hangers. AND the staff argued with me when I quoted him the discounted rates listed on their website! A terrible place!
