For his birthday, I took my fiance to NYC for the weekend. We stayed at 414 Inn for a night. We both liked that this B&B is centrally located to pretty much every touristy spot you'd want to go to when in New York. There are also many restaurants to choice from since it is in a neighborhood they call "Restaurant Row." Our room was small, but it has a very, very comfortable bed with plasma TV, and it's own bathroom. The place is very cozy and clean. The only bad part: not enough room for the guests to congregate and eat breakfast in the lobby. All in all, we'd come here again!

    Great for New York

My husband and I stayed at the 414 in mid September and we had a great time...super duper location on the loveliest street right by restaurant row! The rooms are small but pristinely clean and beautifully appointed..delicious bed, fine towels and linens, flat panel TV and lovely complimentary bath products. There is a small fridge and a safe in the room. A wonderful courtyard with tables and chairs lies between the two buildings for all to enjoy. We ate a fresh breakfast with fresh fruit each morning compliments of our hostess and had access to a computer and printer free of charge. These folks could teach the big hotel chains how to run a fine hotel! And needless to say, the price was absolutely THE best value in NY. Cannot wait to return for another few days of fun! E. I was very dissappointed with my pre-stay service. I made some necessary changes to my reservation only to call and find out that none had been made. I received not even so much as an apology from the hotel. My advice: Get EVERYTHING in writing. Otherwise, the hotel is centrally located right off the restaurant strip which is a lifesaver after a long day of sight seeing.
