The Fairlawn Inn is a spectacular venue. I took my wife there to celebrate our anniversary. It was like stepping into the Victorian era with all the decor and furnishings. The innkeeper, Chuck, was vastly knowledgeable about all the artwork and furnishings. Our room was well appointed with a mix of period and modern pieces. We never needed to ask for anything. Billiards, games, books and magazines abounded in the game room and bar area. The breakfasts were to die for; hearty servings with gourmet flavor. Highly recommended as the best Hunter has to offer.

The hospitality at Fairlawn during my stay was outstanding. The innkeeper, Chuck was very communicative prior to arrival, accommodating for check in, helpful in acclimation to Hunter. The room was perfectly fine, with antique B&B charm, nice warm gas fireplace and nice to have a tv for late night. I stayed in "innkeepers favorite". The highlight of our stay was breakfast, pumpkin spice pancakes and bacon was killer good.

What a great place to go. First, The Innkeeper Chuck was great. And the breakfasts were exquisite. Best omelets I ever had. Fresh juice, excellent bacon, and the coffee was always ready, hot, and good. The decor of the common areas were unbelievable. Chuck was very helpful letting us know about the area as well. We highly reccomendr The Fairlawn Inn if you are planning on going to the area. Oh, beds were comfortable, rooms clean, and fireplace very toasty.

We were looking for a place close to Hunter mountain. We were able to walk to hunter in 10-15 minutes! Chuck was a great host and the rooms were unique and inviting. It was never too cold or too hot in the inn and breakfast in the morning was made to order. I've never been to a b&b that had such a wide variety for a breakfast menu. It was private yet not off the beaten path and we would certainly go back again for another stay! The hospitality was the best we have ever had!

The inn was beautiful. Chuck does a wonderful job at maintaining the yards and landscaping, and the inside was absolutely beautiful. We could only stay one night on our weekend away, and the Fairlawn Inn was the only B&B that we allow us to stay the one night. We are so glad that we stayed there. We would recommend the Inn to anyone and everyone. Chuck also made a really good breakfast. Four thumbs up.

This is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed in. I have been going there for years and Chuck always makes you feel welcome and I always feel like I'm at home when I'm there. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated along with the rest of the house. We had a great time sitting on patio around the fire pit with the delicious snacks not to mention the awesome breakfasts the next morning! A definite place to stay if you want a retreat in the mountains.
Thanks you for your kind words. We appreciate your feelings that you feel like you are home. The patio, the fire pit and gardens are a nice place to relax. I love to cook and also appreciate the commentary on the breakfast. We look forward to your return soon!

We have been staying at the Fairlawn Inn for 12 years or so, it is always a pleasure and a treat to see what changes Chuck has made. He is a wonderful host and we look forward to seeing him each and every year we are there!
Thanks to this reviewer, we value every guest that visits but especially those that return often. It is also a treat to see their reaction when they have been gone a few years and notice the upgrades and changes. We work on constantly updating the inn to keep it fresh and new and also work on trying to keep up with technology, so important today with all of our technology. Thanks for the comments and we look forward to seeing you soon.
