The Bykenhulle House is where you want to stay, perfectly located in the Hudson Valley. The B&B is a 15 room, 5 bedroom Georgian Manor built in 1841 located on 6 beautifully manicured acres in Southern Dutchess County. The knot and perennial gardens are adorned with carved shrubbery, quiet places to sit, and a fountain. Each guest room is unique in style and feeling with a private bathroom. The two formal living rooms are adorned with crystal chandeliers and fireplaces. A full breakfast is served in the dining room each morning before you are off exploring any of the many exiting Hudson Valley attractions from Rhinebeck/Hyde Park to Millbrook, Beacon or Cold Spring or Kent, CT. Easy access to and from the Taconic State Parkway.

A friendly, relaxed atmosphere prevails here. The setting is convenient, yet rural. Breakfast was generous and tasty. The location is near Hyde Park, with its dining and historic points of intrest.

Beautiful and cozy inn with opulent rooms and decor. Raspberry suite was spacious and cozy. Breakfast was delicious and Larry, the property manager, was friendly and informative. Only gripe at all was pillows were not too comfortable. Recommended.

Rooms had a working fireplace, a nice touch and the latest cable TV. Needed new wallpaper and window repairs , but the room was clean. Breakfast was ok and the house was interesting. It was quiet and very relaxing.
4.2 out of 5A delightful owner
September 30, 2012
We met the owner upon our arrival. We chatted for several minutes and he noted in passing that he held several patents. Also when my husband said he was a software developer the owner asked him if he ever used Fortran. I googled the owner's name and found out that he had been with IBM and was a leader in major computer innovations. We told him what we found and he filled us in on the details. Conversing with him was one of the high points of our stay.
