Rosewood is an elegant, formal Victorian home built in 1891. From the welcoming sweep of the expansive wrap porch to the intricate chestnut woodwork in the dramatic foyer, a treat for all the senses awaits you. With period furnishings comfortably mingled with modern amenities, Rosewood offers a serene environment for the business traveler (including wireless internet), as well as a romantic atmosphere for those special occasions. A full gourmet breakfast is served in the formal dining room, the Chippendale table lavishly set with bone china, Victorian silver, linens, and crystal. For the nature lover, the Erie Canal, bike and hiking paths are only two blocks away, and secure overnight storage for bicycles is provided. We also offer special all-inclusive weekend packages for spa retreats and for crafters during the winter months (click "specials" for details). The surrounding area is brimming with antique shops, farm markets, gift and craft shops. For business or pleasure, enjoy Victorian elegance and a departure from the ordinary. Cyclists: please be aware that at least one cycling guidebook shows our location incorrectly on Route 104. We are located in the village of Holley, roughly 5 blocks from the Erie Canal and the Canal Bike Path.

4.8 out of 5A Wonderful Small-Town Surprise!

We had never slept in a featherbed before. A true delightful treat - the best 2 nights of sleep in our 13 day vacation!

We had a very comfortable night in this beautiful home. Breakfast was fabulous. Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating. My only suggestion for improvement would be locks installed on the shared bathroom and on the guest rooms themselves.
4.0 out of 5Our 1st B&B
July 20, 2010
This was our 1st B&B stay so, we didn't have a comparison, but we would stay again. We were biking on the canal and Rosewood was very accommodating with bike storage. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had.
5 out of 5Fantastic find!

My fiancé and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at Rosewood and everything was wonderful. It felt like being in a different world! The beautiful surroundings, the quiet of the village and the friendliness are only the start. Breakfast was superb and the hospitality was wonderful. I recommend it to anyone looking for a personal, quiet stay.

This room boasts a remarkable collection of 19th Century lithographs of native birds. Since it overlooks the gardens, bird baths and bird feeders, it seemed natural to continue the theme indoors. With open windows, fall asleep to the soothing sound of the water garden. A queen-sized featherbed and quiet reading nook is just part of the room's charm. It shares the spacious bath with soaking tub right next door.
