Magnolia Place was brought to life in 1830, as a farmhouse overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake, in what is now considered New York’s Finger Lake region. Magnolia Place sits conveniently in the heart of some of New York’s finest vineyards and wineries only minutes from Watkins Glen International Raceway. Magnolia Place provides eight individually designed guest suites all with private baths. Some of our suite’s provide Jacuzzis and fireplaces. Several suites have access to private porches with a view of Seneca Lake. We invite you to spend time with us at Magnolia Place where your comfort and relaxation is our utmost concern. Come and experience the magical sunrises and majestic sunsets over Seneca Lake. We want to you to return home renewed, relaxed and anxious to come back to us at Magnolia Place year after year.
Sophisticated butt cozy in deep greens, reds and mahogany, this vintage inspired room evokes yesteryear while the queen four poster brass bed retains the comforts of today. The Rose private bath is only three steps from the door alcove. Just as in 18th century novels, there is a private door leading onto the room’s own veranda area where one can catch the evening breeze with a glass of wine, and engage in genteel conversation.
Vineyard inspired art work, a suggestion of lacy ironwork and vineyards in twilight. Including an en suite bath, The Vineyard Room’s comfy king bed can be separated to accommodate two friends or relatives traveling the Seneca Lake Wine Trail or perhaps exploring the waterfalls and forests of the lake region. Vineyard guests can still ‘stay in touch’ with the real world via a flat screen TV and wireless Internet, if they must!
Deep burgundy, dark wood, and rich opulent plaids lends to the atmosphere of an Old World ‘study’ tucked away in the rear of the winery where the vintner sits at the desk going over wine production for the season, indulging in a glass of Reserve. With a king bed, and en suite bath, there is nothing Old World in accoutrements…after all what’s a study without a flat screen TV and wireless Internet!
With lake and vineyard views from two large windows across from the four poster queen bed, with a private access door out to the veranda, the room’s beautiful whites, crèmes, and chocolate brown hues, envelope guests in southern glamour evoking balmy nights in Charleston. With a glass of champagne and an ensuite Jacuzzi bath being drawn, prepare to unwind in slow southern style
On the ground floor, lilacs and sturdy pine of the Suite enhances both the masculine and feminine side of any couple…a sofa, TV and fireplace for him, pale lavender and green décor and a romantic four poster queen bed for her, plus an ensuite Jacuzzi for both. On the veranda, a table and chairs just outside the Suite’s private entrance is a great spot for morning coffee or toasting each other with Finger Lakes wine while the sun sets over Seneca Lake.
The Magnolia Suite. In the upper central part of this 1830’s house is Magnolia Place’s reason for being! The Suite has lofty ceilings, and its queen mahogany bed sits below a shear canopy facing the room's fireplace. Within the Suite is a separate bathroom with shower, plus an additional Jacuzzi room. From the bedroom, Sliding doors open onto the Suite’s own veranda seating ready to receive the visiting couple for morning coffee or a glass of wine when twilight descends on theFinger Lakes. Art work, net bed canopy and Magnolia accents hint of a Gone with the Wind grand era of peace and tranquility.
Reminiscent of bluebells, cornflowers, sky and water, the bold blue décor with pale yellow and white flower accents, creates a calm and sophisticated setting from the busy day.The Seneca room provides a queen four poster bed with with lovely floral curtains and valance to cuddle up under for a good nights sleep. With its ensuite bath, and private access leading to Seneca Lake and vineyard views from the sweeping veranda, the Seneca Room is a secluded true-blue retreat
Leafy green and white décor with a few nautical accents sets the scene for the lovely bay window views of vineyards and the lake in the distance, through lush green treetops. From the comfort of your queen bed, cozy in luxury bathrobes, just across the hall is The Lake Room’s private spacious bathroom. Step out on the large second story veranda from your own room access door, with morning coffee or a twilight glass of wine, to breathe in the expansive view of sunshine, sails and sunsets.

This was our second time staying at Magnolia Place. We can't wait to stay there again. We stayed in a different room then last time but both were great. It feels like home away from home. The breakfasts are amazing. The entire experience was beyond what we expected. Thanks.

Our all too short overnight at the lovely Magnolia Place B&B was all that we could have asked for. A charming house, lovely hosts Theresa and Ted, beautiful decor with views of the lake-how much more could one ask for? Oh yes, a playful labrador to boot. Ted prepares a fresh and delicious breakfast for the guests and both he and Theresa are valuable ren

I'm not a B&B type of guy but when I stay at a B&B I have very high expectations. Magnolia Place met those expectations. Ted & Theresa were excellent hosts; Ted especially. The breakfasts were especially excellent and plentiful. I will definitely stay there again when visiting the area. The only comments I need to make are; the strict 9:00-10:00 breakfast time is a little too late for getting your day started. I'd like to see 8:00-9:00 instead and it appeared the other guests were waiting on the porch as well. I thought the price was a bit high for the area but that could be because of the wine season.

This is a fabulous B&B. My husband and I tried many B&B's in the area, and this is by far our favorite. The rooms are lovely, the views of the lake are gorgeous, the breakfast is always decadent, and the location (close to great restaurants and wineries) cannot be beat.

Lovely views from the overlook outside our room. Breakfast was amazing with a simple but elegant menu.

Magnolia Place and the surrounding grounds were lovely. The breakfast each morning was a gourmet treat. We splurged for a bedroom with private bath and our own entrance to the balcony, which provided views of the vineyards leading down to the lake. I would highly recommend this! The location was ideal for exploring wineries up and down the east side of Seneca Lake, plus it was very close to one of the best restaurants in the area. The owners were friendly and very accomodating. You cannot go wrong with booking a room here. We are definitely going back!

Beautiful, relaxing stay. Rooms are impeccably maintained and breakfasts are incredible. Wonderful property that is great for morning hikes with the owners' sweet dog Irish. Central to wineries, great restaurants and other hiking opportunities. Drinking wine and watching the sunset on the stunning wrap-around porch was just the remedy for these first-time empty-nesters who had just left their son off at college!

Lovely renovated Victorian house with 7 guest rooms. Each room is perfectly decorated. Nice common areas on the first and second floors. Several rooms have private porches, some have jacuzzis. The bed in Magnolia room was a bit squeeky but this can be easily overlooked in view of all the charm and excellent service. Breakfast is cooked and served by the hosts. Though they do not offer a choice of meals, the breakfast is freshly and deliciously prepared and beautifully served. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Their wonderful dog, Irish, is supper friendly and well mannered and is a great companion for a walk aroutnd the property. The house is perfectly situated in the heart of the wine country. Would definitely stay in this place again.
