Old House on a Hill

Our B&B is comfortably nestled on a hillside between the towns of Liberty and Monticello and was, in less hectic times, a part of a busy Catskill summer resort of the 1890's. The 50 ft. porch provides a perfect breakfast spot for our guests to enjoy the view, morning coffee, juice, eggs and more. Local white pine was used to build this establishment over one hundred years ago and today this ruggedly warm wood still hugs our tastefully decorated guest rooms and hallway. There are many hiking trails and water activities in the area as well as 1st rate golf courses. Hiking and river activities seem to be the prefered activities, golf and antiquing come next followed by watching the hawks and deer from the comfort of our porch.

These directions are from St. Rte. 17 or proposed 86. Take Exit 102 and make a right at stop sign and right again at the flashing light. You will go under the highway you just traveled on and pass the Hospital on your right. Continue to the next stop sign (2-3mi) and turn right on Lt. Brender Hwy. Travel 1.3mi (toward the bottom of the hill) you will see the House on your right, then you will see a white picket fence, the B&B sign and driveway, turn Right.
