Within the Catskill Forest Reserve, the historic De Bruce Country Inn offers a secluded and elegant setting for enjoying wooded trails, wildlife and game, trout-fishing streams and lake and mountain views. Guests experience unpretentious but heartfelt hospitality, the offerings of a gifted chef, and all the amenities of a lovingly and authentically restored turn-of the-century country hostelry. After a day exploring the area attractions, relax in the library, by the pool, or at the lounge. All the rooms have private baths, brass beds with posturepedic mattresses, hand-made bedspreads, Indian or Oriental rugs, Victorian hurricane lamps and ceiling fans, and color-coordinated drapes and wallpaper. Original art and craft items are displayed throughout the inn with regular art exhibitions of contemporary artists. Daily Rates from $100 per person.
