This was our second stay at the Blue Iris. It is a lovely Bed and Breakfast, on beautiful grounds. Lori and Jerry could not be more accommodating and helpful and friendly. The rooms are terrific, with a complimentary bottle of wine. The breakfast is WONDERFUL!! This is where I stay when I got to the North Fork of Long Island. It is a little pricy, but that's the way it is on LI.

    Heavenly!

    June 27, 2012

Excellent service! Lorry helped us plan dinner reservations, picked us up at the train station, made us a cheese plate, cooked us amazing breakfasts every morning and was just all around wonderful to be around. Their home is in perfect condition and has the most amazing grounds. We enjoyed fires in the fire pit each night and spent mornings relaxing on their giant porch. The house is just a short bike ride from the beach and lots of wineries. We can't wait to go back!

    December 06, 2010

We stayed at the Blue Iris in November, 2010. It was a perfect two days. The hosts, Lorry and Jerry could not have been nicer. Their breakfast was outstanding. They shared information about the local wineries and recommended some nice restaurants to dine at. We will definetly recommend this to our grown children and friends. When we come back to the North Fork will will stay here for sure!

    Perfet getaway!

    September 22, 2010

My sister and I were planning a little getaway but the inn we were trying to book was full. My sister stumbled upon this wonderful inn and we both fell in love. The website does not do justice to this property. It far exceeds the photos shown. It was the most beautiful B&B I have ever stayed in. The grounds are huge and gorgeous. They have such beautiful touches to the home and garden. The firepit was awesome. We had such a nice eveing sitting around the fire with the other guests until the wee hours of the morning! Jerry and Lorry were amazing hosts. We felt completely at home. The inn was spotless, food was incredible (3 course breakfast to die for), beds so comfortable! The location is great, just a block off Main Road where all the vineyards are but tucked away so it was so peaceful and quiet. Lorry was so accomodating and made our dinner reservations for both evenings. She even had a table reserved for us at Peconic Bay to enjoy the live music Friday evening before our dinner. I highly recommend taking advantage of the massage service onsite. Our massages were wonderful. All in all, this was truly one of the most perfect weekends of my life. If you are visiting wine country, you must stay here. You will not be disappointed!

    gorgeous inn - perfect location

    September 22, 2010

My sister and I just returned from a weekend at the Blue Iris inn. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous. The hosts Lorry and Jerry were so thoughtful. They provided so many thoughtful touches like a hand painted bottle of wine in the room. They even had left the ingredients to make s'mores for the guests to enjoy by the fire pit at night. The breakfast was a wonderful 3 course feast. A delicious way to fortify ourselves for a day of wine tasting. I would also recommend using thier spa room for a massage. It is located right next to the guest rooms so you don't have to leave the premises and their massuese was great. I can't wait to return.

    Unbelievable experience at Blue Iris!

    July 05, 2010

My boyfriend and I spent July 4th weekend at Blue Iris. We were looking for a relaxing weekend getaway...and that is exactly what we got. Before we even arrived, Lorry booked dinner reservations, a massage, and offered any assistance she could provide. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine and a cheese plate. The grounds are not to be believed! There are so many different types of flowers, several bird feeders, a vegetable garden, and a chicken coop! The property is right out of a postcard. The Inn itself it beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable. Everything that decorates the Inn has meaning to Lorry and Jerry, and they are always willing to tell you the stories behind the decor. Lastly, the breakfasts (we stayed for three nights) were of the finest quality; everything was delicious and fresh. We especially loved the eggs from the chickens out back! The Inn is also centrally located to all the local wineries, farmer's markets, beaches, and other towns. We will recommend Blue Iris to everyone and we will definitely return!
