Main Street Bed & Breakfast

  • Inn Details

This lovely Victorian home, with its ornate gingerbread, was built in the late 1800s. The comfort of its vine shaded front porch allows you to observe Cooperstown in a leisurely moment. Why not stroll Main Street - two short blocks to the Baseball Hall of Fame and all the village. If time allows, Otsego Lake and the museums are within walking distance. We are celebrating our 20th year (1988-2008)of welcoming travelers and returning friends.

We always stay with Susie and Ron when visiting Cooperstown, which we do 1-2 times each year. B&B's should make you feel a part of the family, and this one certainly does. Susie's breakfasts are marvelous, giving you the energy needed to explore the village and surrounding area. Sitting on the porch of this beautiful Victorian home is one of the highlights of our summers.

My husband and I had a delightful stay at the Main Street B&B. The décor of the house is lovely with beautifully decorated rooms and nice furnishings. Susan is a gracious hostess, and from the moment we met her, wanted to do anything she could to make our stay pleasant. The location is perfect - a couple of blocks and easy walking distance to downtown Cooperstown, museums, and the lake, yet on a quiet end of the street. We sat on the vine-shaded front porch at the front of the house on a warm spring evening and it was as quiet as could be, hard to believe it's "Main Street." We own a B&B in NH and being in the industry, we have high expectations. The Main Street B&B exceeded our expectations and we'll definitely go back.

My husband and I stayed here and would highly recommend it! Suzie was so wonderful! We are from Texas and eat a little different than they do. When she realized that we were not enjoying our breakfast one morning, she offered to make us something different. The morning that we left, it was around 5am, she tried to make breakfast for us and when we told her it was not necessary, she tried to send fresh baked muffins with us. The bed was comfortable and the town was just as you would imagine "small town America" to be.

This was our first trip to Cooperstown and if you want to stay IN Cooperstown, Bed & Breakfasts offer the best options. We enjoyed Main Street Bed & Breakfast very much It's just on the outskirts of the downtown area, but still very walkable -- and we walked alot! Food was great, house was clean, Innkeepers were very pleasant! Would stay there again. The ONLY issue I had is we're very sensitive to smells and there was a potpourri scent that we were a little sensitive to. But they have a king size bedroom and that was really nice!

Tell the innkeeper that sent you.
