This 1835 Federal-style residence has been transformed by the architect/innkeeper into an elegant 5-room inn showcasing the work of regional artists. Plan your day over a leisurely breakfast of strawberry french toast. Step outside to enjoy the many specialty shops, restaurants and cafes that line the lovely Village Green. Relax in the evening with a cup of tea and your favorite selection from our "Book Exchange". Choose a Queen, King or Twin room overlooking the village fountain or the tree-lined grounds. All rooms have private baths and air conditioning. Business travelers appreciate the wireless internet service,(not to mention the smell of bread baking and a warm greeting at the end of a long day.) If you choose to leave the Green, short scenic drives bring you to Hamilton College, Colgate University, Adirondack Park and Turning Stone Casino.

    Susan and Tim are lovely hosts and made us immediately feel at home. The room was spacious and elegantly appointed and breakfast was not to be missed. We were visiting our daughter at Hamilton College -- perfect location.

    My night at the Artful Lodger was absolutely fabulous. The innkeepers' have B&B customer satisfaction down to a science. My every question was answered by a strategically placed note and I was pleasantly surprised by one thing after another: the tasteful decor and lighting, the art for sale on the bedroom walls, the delicious breakfast, and just the right tone of hospitality. Bravo!

    This was a wonderful find for an overnight in clinton, lovely setting on the village green, great breakfust and lots of helpful hints for our stay. Search no further! we DID, and have found our spot!

    As a wedding planner I was so excited to have the opportunity to plan & coordinate a wedding at Hamilton College for a client. Having never been to the area previously, I was delighted to learn just how sweet a place it is. The bride booked us a room at The Artful Lodger and it was simply a perfect location, accommodation and made us feel right at home. Susan was lovely to work with and have as an innkeeper. There was a lot of things going on throughout the weekend and she was happy to assist with any request from the bride, guests and us! The room was clean, beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious..still thinking about the yummy herbed cheese/eggs!! Thank you for a wonderful stay and visit...I would highly suggest The Artful Lodger for your visit to Clinton,NY!
