Kathy and Kevin have created a warm and welcoming bed and breakfast. Carson room was large and comfortable with one of the biggest bathrooms I've ever seen in a B&B! Location is great - very close to shopping and not too far from the Lake.

We stayed in the Carson Room of the Red Door Inn. This is the largest room with a huge king sized bed, fireplace, and large bathroom that includes a walk-in shower, and spacious jacuzzi. The decor was beautiful antique Victorian influence. We came to Canandaigua, NY to attend classes at the Wine and Culinary Center which is 1-2 miles south. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed visiting with Kevin and Kathryn. The breakfasts they served were beautifully presented and delicious. Good luck to them as they continue to refurbish this lovely historical home. Mary Judson

Kevin and his wife were OUTSTANDING hosts. The property is Kevin's love and it shows it in the condition of the property and interactions with his guests. The breakfasts were extraordinary with multiple courses all served with attention to detail. My wife and I utilize B&Bs extensively when we travel because we enjoy the interaction with the hosts and other guests. This weekend exceeded our expectations for the property, hosts and guests and the region (Finger Lakes of New York State) is to die for gorgeous (we were there during the peak autumn leaf time). This was a wonderful Bed & Breakfast, the area was very convenient to many activities for the whole family! The hosts Kevin and Kathryn are lovely people and are always making sure that you have everything you need and want. They have the answer to any questions that guests may have regarding restaurants and activities in the area. Last but certainly not least the breakfast that is served is fabulous and worth the trip on that alone! Thank you Kevin and Kathryn for a wonderful weekend! Bruce & Lori

The Red Door B&B offers great hospitality, charm, coziness, and a touch of elegance. The accommodations included modern amenities that were welcomed yet did not interfere with the historic beauty of this two hundred year old home. The Carson Room was tastefully furnished, spaciously inviting with luxurious linens and comfortable king bed; the bathroom expansive with an oversized whirlpool tub, well designed shower and heated floor. The water pressure was excellent and hot water always available. The breakfasts were delicious, each one a gourmet treat with a beautifully set table including candles, silver, crystal and delicate china. Kevin and Kathryn were warm and personable with excellent suggestions regarding day trips. They have a wonderful eye for detail & for anticipating all their guests’ needs, which was reflected in the décor and amenities throughout the home. I would stay here again without question.

I meet my siblings once per year, at a different venue. We chose Finger Lakes this year and picked this B&B. This is one time where the reviews understated how nice a B&B is! We had a very nice stay - it felt like home. My wife and I felt the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was the nicest that we have experienced at a B&B. We would come back.

The Inn is decorated in a lovely, quaint way. The bed was very comfortable. Slept well each night we were there which is unusual when I don't sleep in my own bed. Kathryn and Kevin were friendly and welcoming. Convenient location. Will miss the breakfasts which were delicious. Also, enjoyed the breakfast conversations.

Our stay here was nothing less than exceptional. Kevin greeted us at the door and showed us our gorgeous room. Beautifully appointed and beautifully maintained. This Inn is immaculate, inviting, and pleasurable. Breakfast was a delightful treat served on china in the dining room. Ours hats are off to Kathy and Kevin! We look forward to visiting here again.

Inn keepers very friendly and helpful with directions and helpful with facts about the town. Would stay there again, only disappointing thing was the cleanliness everything in the room very dusty.
We're so sorry. We'd just finished doing some renovations in that room. The INN is 214 years old and we scraped, painted, patched and sanded, which is what caused all the amount of dust that you're speaking of. Normally our rooms are very clean and we take great pride in that.
