    Simply the Best

    May 30, 2013

We've stayed at the Chalet twice now and couldn't possibly rave about it enough. Not only is it the most professionally run bed and breakfast we've ever encountered, but Patti and Margaret have infused it with a sincerely warm and welcoming spirit. They have obviously poured their hearts into it. As for the "bed" part of it, this isn't your typical farmhouse B&B. It's a gorgeous log cabin tucked far away from the road in a secluded clearing. On top of that, Patti and Margaret have done a fantastic job of filling it with amazing amenities. Our room, the Woodsview, had a king bed, private bath with a deep soak tub and dual showerheads, complementary coffee and soda in the room, a working heating stove, and a dessert treat just before bed. But even after all that, it's the breakfast part that truly impresses. Everyday is a three course meal chock full of fresh fruit and herbs. We've never had breakfast this good anywhere - period. The creativity and attention to detail could put a five star restauranteur to shame. It's also worth mentioning that Patti and Margaret are very knowledgeable about the area and will happily help you fill your days after breakfast by directing you to the top restaurants and attractions nearby. Probably the most important thing though, is that you feel so welcome it practically feels, even for a first time visitor, like visiting old friends. Goodbyes are said with a hug and a "come see us again" that makes you wonder when, not if, you'll be back.

    Cherished Chalet: Simply Outstanding

    May 24, 2013

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. It was a lovely retreat. Pattie & Margaret are gracious hostesses. The chalet is beautiful from the rooms to the AMAZING porch. It's tucked into the woods and is so serene and quiet. The only sounds heard were the frogs on the pond at night and the geese around the pond in the day - beautiful, natural serenades!

    A Perfect Getaway Spot

    April 02, 2013

We tried the Chalet for a much needed getaway weekend and it was above and beyond our expectations in every way. Easy to find and well located, spotlessly clean and beautiful. The ladies there anticipated every need and treated us like friends from the moment we stepped in the door. They helped us sort through our restaurant options and made the reservations for us, and the three course breakfasts in the morning were amazing! The room was beautiful and lush, and we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. We look forward to returning again soon!

    Honeymoon Memories!

    March 25, 2013

We stayed at the Chalet from Thursday to Sunday in the balcony room. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel warm and welcomed. The food is terrific ( we even had dinner at the chalet one evening) and the breakfasts are exquisite. Our room was beautifully appointed and despie being able to hear most of the noises from the public areas (to be expected in a home) we thoroughly enjoyed it and think we got the best room in the house. Pattie and Margaret were very attentive and eager to help with any of our plans for the weekend. They even secured us a reservation at a lovely restaurant with a view of the lake. We will not hesitate to recommend the Chalet to our friends and will be back again!
