Pattie and Margaret made us feel right at home in our first trip to both a B&B and the Finger Lakes. The chalet was picturesque and rustic; our experience was peaceful and relaxing; and breakfast was innovative and savory. If I didn't know better, I'd have thought that Pattie and Margaret also worked for the Finger Lakes Chamber of Commerce. They superbly recommended restaurants, events, hiking, wineries, and grape pies! We are going back.

The Chalet was a wonderful place to stay at. They truely went above and beyond our expectations for a bed and breakfast. It was our first stay at one and it definitely set the bar for what we'll look for in any future stays. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for a nice weekend getaway. The rooms were beautiful and were exactly how they were pictured and the service was second to none. Pattie and Margaret did an excellent job to make us feel welcomed too and were very helpful.

I found this gorgeous gem after some research and was so happy with my pick. I stayed here in June for one night as a gift for my sister's birthday--this did not disappoint. The innkeepers were so friendly and accommodating and the house is so rustic, yet elegant. Did I mention immaculate! Breakfast was amazing and I look forward to going back soon. You will be happy staying here:)

Patti and Margaret are fabulous hostesses who welcome guests and provide them with a gorgeous setting inside and out. Guests receive a delicious gourmet breakfast and evening treats as well as sightseeing suggestions. Do as much as you like or relax in their cozy great room or on their lovely porch and drink in the views. We highly recommend a stay at the Chalet and hope to return ourselves. Pat & John

The Chalet of Canandaigua is without a doubt the best B&B at which I've ever stayed. Many B&Bs have nice rooms, great service, and good food. But I have never experienced a room as beautiful and as thoughtfully appointed as ours at the Chalet (case in point: towel warmers!). As for the service, my case in point is that owners Pattie and Margaret keep a log of the items they serve their guests for breakfast -- year after year -- so as not to serve them the same thing twice! I wish our one-night stay could have been a one-month stay, but perhaps we'll return some day and wear out our welcome. I hope so.

What a pleasure to stay at the Chalet of Canandaigua. Pattie and Margaret were wonderful and full of knowledge. The food was so wonderful. A perfect start to each of the days we were there. We did booked a hot air balloon ride from Liberty balloon co. and left right from the beautiful front lawn of the B&B. It was just an all around amazing experience. I have travelled internationally a lot and I have to say this place was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Great people, great space, great food .. just an all around gem.
