    1840 Empire Victorian boasts five fireplaces, several uniquely carved fireplaces and woodword, a split oak staircase in the magestic foyer and large side porch to enjoy. The Inn houses 4 beautifully appointed guest rooms and 1 suite.
    Guests enjoy a full gourmet breakfast in the Penfield Dining Room, which boasts a uniquely carved fireplace and tastefully decorated in victorian era antiques.
    The Clement Room boasts a romantic victorian toil'e theme in cream and black. This room has a queen-sized bed, armoire, and sitting area.
    Our largest room, the Gifford Room has a four-poster bed, 2 oak armoires, a corner jacuzzi, fireplace, couch, and larkin desk tucked away in the corner.
    This lovely queen-size antique brass bed fills the Hubbell Room with warmth. The room has a cozy window bench seat too!
    The Inn's Suite, suitable for families (up to 5) is a self-suffient unit. This is the large master bedroom upstairs, which has the master bath off it. The lower level of the unit has a full kitchen, and open dining room/living room with small bdrm. off livingroom and qn. sofabed in living room. This unit has a separate entrance and breakfast foods are provided in the kitchen for guest use.
    The Inn's Parlor has an elegant victorian sofa, and 3 sitting chairs to sit and enjoy a roaring fire.
    The Burrell Suite includes a bedroom with queen bed, corner fireplace, TV, armoire, private bath, and is connected to the jacuzzi area (lg. 2 seater lounger), with a private sunroom with sofa, chair and TV.
    The Penfield Suite includes a very spacious guest room with king bed, sofa, two armoires, TV, and private bath. It includes a private parlor with sofas, a desk, and a fireplace. This guest suite overlooks the backyard, and is on the first level of the home.

    Second Empire Victorian lovingly restored to meet the needs of today's discriminating travelers; those who love the era of yesteryear, but enjoy the luxuries of today A full, gourmet breakfast is served with fresh baked goodies available in the afternoon. Five guest rooms with private baths/shower, and TV/DVD. Luxury rooms have a Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The Inn is located in the heart of the historic district, a short walk to shops, restaurants, historical sites, as well as the Lake. An independent family suite, caters to families/couples traveling together - sleeps five. Awarded the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for 2011 & 2012.

    Relax and Enjoy

    Great place to relax and enjoy; this type A met his match. Yes, I enjoyed it and more and will be back....in fact, I already asked if I can come back just to sit in the parlor and read a book!! So relaxing, and the fresh cookies, fruit and coffee/tea are always there, so find a comfortable couch, pull out that book you've wanted to read and enjoy the great ambiance.

    Relaxing Escape

    Guy and Jaynee greeted us with open arms when we arrived for our stay at the Inn on the Main. After a quick tour of the house and our accommodations, Jaynee recommended some restaurants for us to dine that evening. We decided on one and she even called and made a reservation for us. I consider that a step above normal customer service. When my wife and I decide to return to Canandaigua, we will first look to stay at Inn on the Main again.

    Burrell Suite

    Offers a classic Victorian two-room suite featuring a two-person lounger whirlpool tub and corner fireplace. A six ft. oak headboard adorns the queen-size bed, and the room is appointed with a unique oak armoire/dresser, and TV. The sunroom/sitting room also has a TV and the loveseat is a twin-size sofabed to accommodate a third person, if need be. The room's 1880s bathroom has been restored, featuring built-in soaking tub/shower, corner sink, and unique split window/medicine cabinet. There is an additional $30 charge for a third person.

    Please contact the Inn for more details. This is a self-sufficient independent unit (apt.), which is suitable for families and sleeps up to 5. It has a kitchen, open living/dining room, a very small bedroom with 3/4 width bed, and upstairs is a very large master bedroom. The bathroom for this unit is upstairs off the master bedroom. The sofa in living room has a queen sofabed as well.

    • Deposit Amount Required: ONE NIGHT'S STAY

    • Cancellations: Rates are per night and based on double occupancy. Method of payment - prefer Visa or MasterCard but will accept Discover, American Express, ATM cards, or cash. Your credit card number is charged one-night's stay per room as deposit. Cancellation Policy A $25 cancellation fee per room is charged for all cancellations. Should you reschedule your stay within one year from cancellation date, the $25 charge may be applied towards that future stay. We have a 2 week cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your stay within 2 wks. of your stay, and we are unable to re-book your room, you will be charged the full amount. We welcome you as our guests and hope you understand the reason for these policies, as we frequently may have to turn interested guests away when rooms are reserved.

    Where to begin.......from the incredibly attentive owners to the impeccably decorated room, to the delicious snacks and well thought out meals, no detail was overlooked. Everything is treated with loving care including the guests. No complaints about someplace that welcomes you as family. We wholeheartedly look forward to our next visit.     This was our second stay and was equal to the first. In fact in the future we will check the accomodations before we plan our trip, as we will only stay at The Inn on The Main. Guy and Jaynee are undoubtably a credit to the industry!!!!!

    Anniversary Visit

    Jaynee and Guy are great! They’re attention to detail is unsurpassed and it shows, their Inn is spotless! Wonderful, filling, and very tastey breakfasts. They also helped with all our reservations and even prepared a basket of snacks for our wine tour which we really needed and appreciated! Great place to stay and we'll return on our next visit to the area. Although the mattress in the Gifford room was firmer than our old bones prefer, the room’s furnishings and finishing touches really made for an excellent stay. Thanks Guy and Jaynee for ensuring we had a wonderful Anniversary.
