Sterling Bed and Breakfast

Experience the space and comfort of home when you must be away from yours. Open year-round, Sterling Bed & Breakfast, built in 1910, is ideally situated for adventures in New York City and farther afield. Enjoy our private garden or lounge in the comfortable sitting parlor. Each morning starts with an expanded continental breakfast available in the dining room or, weather permitting, the spacious garden. Each room is furnished with attention to detail. We are known not only for our guests’ choice to stay here, but for their desire to return.

Run by a novelist and a network television editor, both with long experience living overseas.

Discover a neighborhood rich with culture, including the nearby natural beauty of Prospect Park with its Audubon Center, boathouse and carousel. The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is a tranquil, 52-acre urban oasis. Take in an exhibition at the world-class Brooklyn Museum, a 15-minute walk from our home. From there, hop a guided bus tour of New York City, or take a 10-minute subway into Manhattan. We are 30 minutes from Coney Island, 2 hours to the Hamptons on Long Island.
