Couldn't have asked for more! Walking distance to some great restaurants (check out the desserts!) as well as the subway and extremely convenient to Manhattan. Escape was comfortable, providing a homey feeling where we could come and go as we please. The owner made special arrangements to accommodate our late arrival, which made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend Escape and will return during a future visit to the city. - Gary from San Francisco

We had a wonderful stay at Escape. Adrianne, Elizabeth's daughter, was our "inn keeper" and she couldn't have been more accomodating. Anytime we had a need, it was met immediately - without delay. It was quiet (yes, even in Brooklyn!) and very comfortable. It was hard to believe there was a "full house" for the 4 nights we stayed -it was sooo peaceful. -Cynthia and Jerry from Seattle

I was staying in the great Escape Guesthouse for 10 days in december 2010. It is perfectely located, very comfy, quiet and safe. The neighbourhood with it's nice restaurants and bars is absolutely charming. The owner and staff are very nice and so helpful. Breakfast was also great! Great coffee, bagels, cerials, fresh fruits, a daily newspaper and a nice chat. Feels like home. We definately will stay here again!

Very clean; room well appointed and good reading amterials. The breakfast was very good with Irish oatmeal, variety of fresh muffins & bagels and freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. Great!
