Inn Details

Frequently described as "the quintessential country inn", The Sedgwick Inn sits on twelve sweeping, wooded acres in the scenic Taconic Valley. Located at the foot of the majestic Berkshire mountains, its a place where everyone feels at home. Comfortable, yet elegant, the two-hundred-year-old Colonial Inn is a true New England gem with a certain old-world ambiance. The dinner is served in our candlelit restaurant, which attracts diners from throughout the region. Our menu is eclectic and imaginative, our wine list extensive. The rooms in the main house are furnished with antiques. There are four double rooms and a two-room suite. All rooms have private baths. Tucked behind a carriage house is a six-room motel, tastefully furnished with Colonial-style furniture. This annex was designed for those who crave more privacy and easy accessibility. Children are welcome in the motel. The exercise room is located in a tinlined, neo-classical building constructed in 1834 and once used as a Civil War recruiting station. Our guests can soak away their driving aches and pains in our indoor spa housed the converted Carriage House.

Settle in for dinner in our comfortable yet elegant, candlelit restaurant, which has an outstanding reputation in the area. Our menu is eclectic, imaginative.
Whether you are looking for somewhere to have a romantic dinner for two or a wedding for one hundred, intimate charms of the Sedgwick Inn will make it special. The main house offers four double rooms and a two-room suite-all with private baths and brimming with collectibles. Each room has its own distinctive period setting - but with all the modern amenities.
Let your mind wander while sitting in front of a crackling fire. Good moods come over you at the Sedgwick. The tenor of the place is right: it invites you to sit back and relax at ever turn, to eat and enjoy a favorite companion, to savor a favorite dish and tell a favorite story. It¿s the quintessential country inn. (Lee Stanfield, The Berkshire Eagle)
