We're a 180-year-old historic hacienda situated on 7.5 acres less than 2 miles east of the Taos Plaza. Large stately spruce, apple and cottonwoods create park-like grounds with many quiet spots. Our backyard (where the hot tub is) has a 60-mile view west to the sunset. Scrumptious full homemade breakfasts. All of our rooms have private baths and separate outdoor entrances. We have a friendly, casual, easy going atmosphere where children are welcome.

    Relaxing Getaway!

    May 28, 2013

We stopped by for only a night, but we were warmly greeted by the owner of the B&B. He graciously showed us a couple of available rooms (although we had reservations for a specific one). This was nice because rooms often look different than the pictures. Breakfast was light and delicious, as was the coffee! We would definitely come back if in the Taos area again.

The Old Taos Guesthouse, a must stay!

    January 11, 2013

The Old Taos Guesthouse is a wonderful bed and breakfast! Much of this is due to the atmosphere created by the inn keepers. The Old Taos Guesthouse is warm and inviting and filled with ambiance and character. The accolades don’t stop here. The food is impeccable and so are the rooms. I actually liked the fact that we did not have a television in ours as it would have detracted from the experience. If you frequent bed and breakfast establishments (or even if you don’t) and, if you love Taos, the Taos Old Guesthouse is a must stay!

Old Taos is simply wonderful! Tim and Leslie are terrific hosts with over 20 years experience. The sunset views are romantic. Old Taos really is old ;-) with 18" thick walls. Unlike many other pre-fab B&B's in Taos that are essentially a Residence Inn with a kiva fireplace. Thanks very much! Anna & Doug

    Old Taos Guesthouse always great

    November 17, 2011

We have stayed at The Old Taos Guesthouse many times over the years. The guesthouse is "old New Mexico" and fun. Leslie & Tim make everyone feel at home and the breakfast they serve is not only delicious, but it seems like sitting down with family. The grounds are always nice, but particularly in the snow. We love playing catch-up with what they've been up to. We would recommend it to everyone.

    Relax- Stay Here

    August 26, 2011

The one thing you should know if you go to the Old Taos Guesthouse -there is no air conditioning. The owners were wonderful along with their breakfast food. They have an outside fridge you can use for your needs. My husband and I were on vacation and stayed just one night. I picked this B&B for location and dollar value. We stayed in room 7 and the bathroom was pretty funky( small) but cute. My husband is 6'3 and it was a step up tiled bathroom that he could not stand up in very well. When we go again I will pick the suite. It was the largest room and well appointed. Tim picked out a restaurant for us in Taos and again, no air conditioning in it but the food was good. We were the only people in the restaurant. When we came back we lounged in hammocks and watched the sunset from the backyard and also went in the jacuzzi. It was very relaxing. They have chickens that are very entertaining along with the owners.

    "Back in time"

    July 30, 2011

Ok, so my Sis and I were on a spur of the moment road trip & decided to call a few B & B's and check vacancies. Our favorite one we picked earlier that day from the website (bandb.com) just happened to have a room since it was during the week. We arrived and instantly got a feeling of "stepping back in time". What a wonderfully relaxing old Inn!! We wanted to stay all week but only had a couple days this time. We will be back to enjoy this relaxing oasis! Love it...

    Peaceful Taos Getaway

    December 21, 2010

If you want to explore Taos and the surrounding area, then this is the place you should stay. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and quiet, and well appointed with local and southwestern furnishings. You won't find better innkeepers, and the breakfasts are delicious! If you go away hungry, then it's your own fault! Tim is very knowledgeable about the area, and can give a visitor all the information that's needed to find places to hike, explore and dine. He and Leslie are both very friendly. This time of year is especially good to stay, because (except for Christmas week), it's off-price time. Plus, you'll also get a discount when you stay at least three nights any other time of year. Enjoy, relax, and soak in the sights. We'll be back again, and again, and again...

Great views surround the property. Room is excellent with lots of privacy. Perfect for a weekend retreat. The service is excellent and the owners met our vegetarian dietary needs.
