La Posada De Taos

This is a wonderful, small B&B within a couple of blocks of the Plaza, in a quiet area. The common rooms are very well maintained and tastefully furnished. We really felt at home here. We stayed in the La Casa suite for 3 nights, which is in a separate building adjacent to the main building. It was a very nice, comfortable suite. Brad, one of the owners, is extremely helpful with restaurant and siteseeing recommendations. We especially enjoyed having him join us at the communal breakfast table, as he shared a lot of information about the area, and was a gracious host. We had excellent dinners at Grahams, El Meze, and Love Apple. The breakfasts were excellent - a main dish, fruit, yogurt, granola, and delicious baked goods. Breakfasts were served to all guests at the same time, which made for great conversations with other guests. It was fun to share travel experiences, and meet interesting people. We highly recommend staying here, and will certainly return the next time we are in Taos.

What a delightful bed and breakfast! I hated to leave! The Innkeepers, Brad and Michael were wonderful and informative. I loved my Breakfasts. We recently spent two nights at LaPosada de Taos and we were extremely impressed with this bed and breakfast. The innkeeper greeted us in a manner which instantly relaxed us. He was so helpful in restaurant and tourist activity recommendations. He truly made us feel LaPosada was OUR home for the duration of our stay. Our room was even better than expected. It had everything we desired including Egyptian cotton sheets, a WONDERFUL mattress and a cozy Kiva fireplace which lulled us to sleep each night with a warm crackling fire. Our bathroom contained more towels than we could ever use, plush bathrobes, top of the line lotions and a jacuzzi bath which was so relaxing after a long day of touring all the wonderful shops and art galleries that this lovely town has to offer. Our breakfasts were SUPERB! The chef, Michael presented us with truly gourmet delights and we were amazed at how beautifully presented the table was. Snacks and beverages were also available to us at any time. We loved gathering every evening in the living room before a roaring fire to revist all the fun things we had done that day. The location of LaPosada is PERFECT for touring Taos. The Inn is just minutes from the historic town square and we walked everywhere. It was just so easy to tour Taos without the hassle of driving around looking for a parking place. We loved LaPosada and cannot wait to return for another visit. We have stayed in B & B's all over the U.S. but LaPosada De Taos was the most wonderful experience we have ever had at a B & B! The Innkeepers were warm and charming and eager to offer their assistance whenever it was needed. The breakfast was gourmet and DELICIOUS!! The chef served such creative meals and we were so impressed. Complimentary beverages and snacks were always available! Our room exceeded our expectations. The linens were of the highest quality and the bed was so comfortable! We had a kiva fireplace in our room and we went to sleep every night to the sounds of a crackling romantic fire!! Even the bathroom was a delight! High quality lotions, Egyptian cotton towels and an amazing jacuzzi bath in which to relax. In conclusion, staying at LaPosada is like staying with family. The whole atmosphere, like the town of Taos itself, is warm and friendly. The Inn is in a perfect LOCATION! Just a couple of blocks from the Historic Town Square of Taos with its fabulous shops and art galleries. We hardly used our vehicle during our entire stay. We cannot wait to return to LaPosada and the quaint town of Taos again!!

We arrived in Taos late and stayed at La Posada de Taos. Brad and Michael were there waiting for us and greeted us like old friends. It was cold and there was a crackling fire in the living room. So cozy! Breakfast was fantastic! Michael's baked eggs, fresh fruit and muffins were so filling we didn't need lunch. La Posada is close to the plaza so we could easily walk everywhere. The inn is southwest through and through. Lots of Taos style and it was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Taos and you shouldn't either. La Posada de Taos is the best of Taos.
