Adobe & Pines Inn

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Adobe and Pines B&B. It is a wonderful old adobe structure with all the modern conveniences. The rooms are well appointed. The breakfast was truly delicious with more than generous portions. After eating breakfast, we generally only snacked the rest of the day. The location is near the St. Francis of Assisi church in Ranchos De Taos and other nearby destinations. This was our first visit to Taos, other than to just drive through from or to other destinations in the southern Rock Mountains. We spent four full days in Taos and did not run out of interesting destinations. There are several interesting museums that cover both the local history and the local art scene. The number of art galleries is impressive for an otherwise relatively small town and if you should need to eat after the large breakfast, there are more than enough locations from which to choose. A surprise was the gorge at the Rio Grande River a short distance outside Taos. The bridge that crosses the gorge and the gorge itself are worth the short drive; approximately ten miles north of town on HWY 64. Enjoy your stay in Taos and the southern hospitality of the folks running the Adobe and Pines B&B.

The Inn with its expansive grounds and southwest architecture was stunning, as well as the graciousness and warm hospitality of Philip and Renee. And do they know how to make scrumptious southwest breakfasts that will last through lunch! Highly recommend, especially the Rosa or Violeta room.

This was our first time here, and I know we will return! The owners made us feel very welcome, and the breakfast that was served in the morning was fantastic!!! Very pet friendly, which is important to us since we travel with our German Shepherd

My girlfriend and I were referred to Adobe & Pines by a friend. We thought that the B&B sounded like a nice place to spend our 1st Anniversary. What a referral! We stayed in the Puerta Rosa room for three nights and enjoyed it all . . . the fireplaces, the awesome sunken bathtub, the sauna, and the incredible ambiance. Breakfast was always more than enough and gourmet. yum We wouldn't hesitate to spend another anniversary at the Abode & Pines.

My wife and I returned to the Adobe & Pines Inn after we initially honeymooned there nine years ago. Fortunately, everything was the same great place, but with the added enhancement of new, wonderful hosts! Breakfasts was delicious with amazing presentation. I never been to a Bed & Breakfast before, this my first time. Everything was Wonderful!!!! The owners welcomed you, the food was delicious and the room was cozy, warm and the view from the bathroom was breathtaking. We would love to get-away to Adobe & Pines Inn again.

My husband and I took our first sans baby trip and this place is amazing. It has great energy, a perfect location, amazing breakfasts, and such incredible rooms. We stayed in the funky cool La Turqueza with a kitchenette. Renee and Phillip are just the best and we would stay there forever if we could. You owe yourselves this enchanting place!

Excellent B&B!

We visited New Mexico for the first time recently & stayed at several b&bs. We should have cancelled the others & extended our stay here 'cause every other place pales in comparison. Renee & Phillip are the perfect hosts, the setting is tranquil, accomodations clean & comfortable, food to die for! Everything was just perfect in every way. Thanks Renee & Phillip for making our stay memorable; it really was the highlight of our trip!

The setting was unique and beautiful. The room was great. Breakfast was delicious and I loved the view. The chef (along w/ the innkeepers) was a big help in giving suggestions on where to hike, eat, shop, etc. Great time!

Best place for couples with kids or without kids. There is no comparison about the kind of service you receive here atAdobe & Pines Inn to the service of a hotel. Renee and Phillip Macnutt have everything it takes to make their guests at Adobe & Pines Inn feel at their very best. Everyday becomes a new experience to remember. This is a place that you must stay during a visit to Taos. You going to love it.

We stayed in the Puerta Violeta, which was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Renee and Phillip were perfect hosts and we felt right at home during our stay. The grounds are well maintained and very peaceful. We are looking forward to staying at Adobe & Pines Inn again.

This place had a three course breakfast handmade from the garden. WIth nice touches such as complimentary lemonade made from scratch, different each day to desserts for purchase. One could truly relax and take in the NM decor and gardens. As a big plus they also have a meditation labyrinth for guest to use as part of their stay. The couple who owned the place were welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well decorated. The only thing keeping this place from a five is that the sink faucets needed minor repair, the toilet was little wobbly in one of my rooms and for some reason their were coffee bags in the room but no tea. You could get tea with breakfast so I wasn't totally without.

Adobe and Pines is a wonderful place to stay. The property is beautiful and relaxing. The buildings and rooms are inviting and each have comfortable unique Southwest charm. Rooms with tubs and spas are a plus. Also, the food is great! We have stayed at several B&B's in Taos, and Adobe and Pines is our favorite thus far.

Fresh lemonade and cookies upon arrival,very good breakfast , splendid surrounds and extremely comfortable rooms. This stay was the highlight of our trip. Our only regret was that we did not book more than one night. Many thanks to our hosts Renee and Phil.

Our accommodations included a leather couch, a kitchen area, a queen sized bed, flat screen TV two fire places and a spectacular bath suite with sunken tub and fire place, walk in shower and his and hers sinks. Phil and Renee were warm, friendly and accommodating. They offered suggestions for sight seeing and dinner, places to run as well as shared history of the Inn and how they came to it. My husband and I are usually very active on vacations; exercising, sight seeing or traveling on the motorcycle. Adobe and Pines created a perfect balance for us. In the morning, we were able to run and enjoy the scenery, then return to relax with a stroll through the labyrinth. After a full day of sight seeing, we returned to the inn to visit with our hosts and just sit outside, enjoying a snack, reading, our just taking in the calm, beautiful setting. The highlight of our stay had to be the 3 course breakfasts. Renee easily adapted her recipes to meet my dietary needs. Wish we could have stayed a third night, just to sample more of Renee's delicious meals. When we arrived, we felt like we were being greeted by new neighbors and when we left it felt as though we had been visiting with old friends. We would highly recommend Adobe and Pines to anyone visiting the Taos area.

We enjoyed the outstanding breakfasts each morning. Fabulous coffee is available every morning. We also enjoyed the secluded surroundings to relax during the afternoons and evenings. Very friendly and kind owners.

We have fond memories of our stay at Adobe and Pines. A quiet place to relax, reflect, and be renewed. Phillip, Renea, and all the staff welcomed us with smiles and much kindness that only comes from the heart! We stayed seven days and each morning the presentation of breakfast equaled the outstanding food they prepared and served. The fresh baked cookies, ice tea, and lemonade beckoned us home in the late afternoon to enjoy after a day of sightseeing. It truly became our home away from home and we look forward to returning. I pray all at Adobe and Pines will be blessed as much as they blessed us!

Adobe and Pines is a great retreat. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Taos weather. Breakfast is different each morning and delicious.

We had never been to Taos and are so greateful we chose Adobe & Pines Inn. The rooms are romantic and the beds are super comfortable. Renee and Phillip are wonderful hosts. When we left we felt like we left family behind. And the food is awesome! It was so wonderful to wake up to a gourmet breakfast every day. We will definitely be back!

I've stayed at a lot of bed and breakfasts and this was one of the best experiences I've had. The historic property is located in a lush valley right outside Taos. It's secluded nature coupled with the goats, chickens, garden, and shady grounds made for a very tranquil and refreshing experience. Phillip made whitewater rafting reservations for us before we even arrived when I had mentioned over the phone that we'd like to do that. Renee made the best fresh veggie omelets, fresh fruit yogurt, homemade pastries, eggs benedict, cookies, and ice tea and lemonade. We recommend the Williams Lake hike up by the ski resort followed by dinner at the Bavarian. It was absolutely breathtaking at the top of the hike and our golden retriever loved swimming in the cold mountain lake. I think the personality of the owners and the great breakfasts really made this place stand apart. The rooms were clean and beautiful and historic, but I'd come back just to chat with Renee and Phillip again. Such lovely people.

Pictures don't convey the beauty and comfort of the rooms. This historic inn offers a unique experience, appealing regional flavor, delicious coffee and breakfasts. Grounds include native plants, large diverse trees, a hammock, many spots for sitting to rest, read, visit or dream. Hosts are gracious, helpful, accommodating ~ friendly without being intrusive. The smooth adobe walls, tilework, kivas, animal skin throws, first class linens are immaculately clean with careful attention to detail. Take time for the labyrinth and its central fountain, visit the goats and chickens in their tidy, delightful yard, and take in the view of pasture, mountains, trees and sky.

Adobe & Pines was easily the best place we've ever stayed, for many reasons. We were immediately welcomed by Renee, who had set out the most delicious lemonade we'd ever had, along with fresh baked cookies and watermelon (and a friendly dog to pet!). The grounds are lovely, as was our room which was stocked with everything that we could possibly need. They really think about the small touches here and that's what makes it so special. We barely even wanted to go into Taos because we were so content to lie in the hammock and listen to the sound of the creek that runs through the property. And believe them when they say that they have gourmet breakfast - it's amazing!! We will definitely be back to visit our idea of heaven.

Simply delightful accommodations with gracious hosts, excellent food, peaceful atmosphere. I look forward to returning again and again.

Phillip and Renee were warm, welcoming, down-to-earth hosts and Adobe and Pines is quintessential Southwest. A beautiful, peaceful, and romantic place to stay. We stayed in the Violeta which felt like its own apartment in that you come in and go upstairs. The room was spacious and romantic with a large sunkin jetted tub and it's own veranda overlooking the hacienda where you could sit and have coffee. The breakfasts were pieces of artwork on a plate that were so delicious! Loved the cheese blintzes!! Also really enjoyed the Labrynth on the property. An excellent restaurant worth a visit is Graham's Grill. The wild salmon and blue corn red trout were exceptional. We will be back to Adobe and Pines it's truly wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The new owners are wonderful people, easy-going, eager to help with anything, loving to our dog (they have a great dog, too) and simply amazing in the kitchen. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The breakfasts are absolutely fabulous in both the presentation and taste departments. Beware, if you stay too long you could gain a few pounds. But honestly, the food is so good it would be worth tight pants.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. Wow, what a treat! Great food and wonderful hosts.

Although located adjacent to the highway which leads from Santa Fe to Taos, the grounds are wonderfully calm and quiet, to say nothing of beautiful. The water gurgling through the acequio, which traverses the grounds, was music to my ears. The buildings themselves are charming in their Old World and Spanish way. Phillip and Renee are delightful, as is Tracie; each of them has the perfect personality for the hospitality industry. Breakfast was delicious. If you like quietude, wonderful food, nature, and adobe architecture, and Spanish design, this is certainly an inn to consider.

Thank you for the beauty you created in every area of your Bed & Breakfast. It is such a joy to stay in your welcoming surroundings after a long trip on the road. We received royal treatment on our wedding night at Adobe & Pines. Every detail was taken care of and we were surprised and spoiled beyond belief! Our stay at Adobe and Pines B&B was the highlight of our visit to Taos. The B&B is totally charming and relaxing. New owners, Rachel and Philip, graciously extend their hospitality to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. The breakfast was top notch, a tasty way to start your day exploring the area. The grounds were well kept and the 200 year old adobe room we stayed in was very comfortable and roomy. Two thumbs up!

I highly recommend Adobe and Pines B&B. My family and I had never been to Taos, so we were not sure where to stay. After doing lots of research on places to stay... I came across Adobe and Pines. We could have not been more pleased with the accommodations. The owners were amazing and the breakfast every morning was to die for!!!

If you're interested in getting the sense and feel of how Taos may have been decades ago, when in my opinion it was at it's best, the Adobe and Pines is the place to stay. Old rambling adobe buildings on grounds that are mature and full of trees and well loved critters, Louis and Katherine have updated where needed and left the heart and soul of this fantastic old estate. We had a fantastic stay at Adobe and Pines. Even though we were only there for one night we felt very pampered and cared for. The chocolate chip cookies were melt in your mouth! We will be back. Thank you Adobe and Pines!

The breakfasts were really special! The Innkeepers were really friendly and helpful. I really liked the wood burning fireplace and secluded location. I was disappointed in the sink and tile work on the vanity. It was damaged and repairs were needed. I viewed other units and loved all the other rooms. I would love to stay again in another unit.

The staff is always friendly and go out of their way to make sure that we have a welcoming experience.

Very comfortable and private room on the 2nd floor. Hosts were wonderful -- both very friendly and conversational and Louis an excellent cook as well. We enjoyed the very meditative and reflective labyrinth on the grounds. Great location minutes away from center of Taos and a few minutes from some wonderful hiking areas.

Adobe and Pines is an architecturally authentic and beautiful lodge with added personal touches by the owners. Katherine and Louis and the staff make themselves available throughout the day and are very informative. Louis' cooking is fantastic. The breakfasts, especially the eggs benedict, are the best I've ever had at a b & b.

We had an incredible stay at the Adobe and Pines Inn. Must admit we had no idea what to expect, but were pleased and delighted all way around. Stayed three nights. Very confortable rooms and great owners and staff. Breakfast wonderful and very well presented. Helpful with our schedules. We had the two bedroom suite, roomy and quiet.

Loved the location and the room but the breakfasts beat all. The owners are very nice and attentive. Loved having a private hot tub and that our dogs were welcome. Room was roomy (but each room is different) and comfy. I would have liked more lightening for reading and a second easy chair but those are minor.

Our family stayed there in early August, 2011. We loved our stay (in fact, we added a night). The owners could not have been friendlier and the Casitas were so well appointed, quiet, clean, and relaxed. The breakfasts were superior. The whole property was quite wonderful. Minutes from the center of Taos, yet a world apart.

We truly enjoyed our trip and stay at the Adobe and Pines Inn. The breakfasts were superb, the room was more than we expected. We stayed in the Puerta Violetta and we were thrilled with the patio overlooking the courtyard. Katherine and Louis were great hosts.

The owner did a fantastic job to arrange the property. We love the room and the overall atmosphere. ps. the items in the small gift shop are fairly priced!

We arrived in Taos, on a "drive-about", and had not made any reservations for accomodations. We "happened upon" Adobe & Pines Inn, and Katherine and Louis graciously allowed us to have their last available room at the last minute. What a delightfuly charming and peaceful place to rest for a couple of days. The smell of coffee brewing and breakfast cooking awakened us, and the mornings were spent enjoying the bountiful breakfasts shared with "new friends", personal stories and laughter. The warm cookies and lemonade on the Veranda were a welcomed treat after a long day of enjoying all that Taos has to offer. The prices are very reasonable and considering they included a fabulous Gourmet Breakfast, even more so! Everything was pleasant. Enjoyed the Zen Garden and Labyrinth. Rooms were great and breakfast fantastic.

We stayed in the Blue Room in the original 1832 adobe building. Nothing is quieter than 18" thick adobe walls! Very scenic and historic. The staff are all very personable and accommodating. The breakfasts were elegant and tasty.

When I learned this B&B had goats, I booked our last three nights in NM here. My husband and I were impressed the moment we arrived. The grounds were beautiful, and we were warmly greeted with a room upgrade! I had a ton of fun taking photos of the grounds and animals, which included several adorable goats, chickens, friendly cats, and lazy dogs, while my husband loved reading in the hammock. We even decided to forgo all our planned activities our last day and spent the day relaxing at the B&B, leaving only to enjoy the Taos restaurants. Our hosts were too kind, and the breakfasts were too delicious! I never really understood the allure of B&Bs until now.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights (and three breakfasts) in May. We had a living social coupon for a romantic getaway, and after a 6 hour drive to get there we were greeted with a bottle of cold champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, robes and slippers. We stayed in the Purerta Azul room, which I believe is their smallest. It hadits own fireplace, and we built a fire every night. The breakfasts were fantastic - the plates were rimmed with a medley of fruit each morning, and small muffins and biscuits also accompanied the meal. We had cheese blintzes, southwestern eggs benedict, and huevos rancheros while we were there. Fresh cookies in the afternoon were a great bonus. They are quite pet friendly, and there were a few resident dogs and cats around the grounds. Had we not been exploring Taos and Ojo Caliente while we were in town, we could have easily spent all our time on the back patio or in the hammock of the B&B. Only one warning: because the inn is in an historic building, the ceilings in the doorways are very low - watch your head! I'd love to go back!

A beautiful place and wonderful hosts. The room was amazing with fireplaces in the main area and even in the bathroom. The private hot tubs are a nice bonus to the jacuzzi tubs already in the room. The best part is mini farm they have going on with Chickens, pygmy goats, etc. Super cool and you can't go wrong! If there is a drawback, it's that the location is a little close to the road. You don't see it at the B&B and you don't notice it too much, but you can hear some traffic noise. That noise just doesn't have any place with the zen spirit of Adobe & Pines Inn. Also, they were very pet friendly and our dog was extremely thankful!

Southwest style and hospitality were evident in every part of our two-day stay. The food was great and the staff was motivated to meet our every need. The room was tastefully decorated and quite comfortable.

What a wonderful place for a get-a-way weekend! Lovely room, great breakfasts and the staff so kind and friendly. Coffee and cookies available in the lobby anytime you get the munchies! The beautiful patios are great to simply sit and listen to the birds sing. The Zen gardens are not only restful but fun and labyrinth is pure meditation! p.s. LOTS of towels and extra pillows which folks don't normally talk about in reviews but SO important! Amenities like that make this Inn one to return to!

We bought our stay from a Living Social deal, and it FAR exceeded our expectations. The staff is friendly, our room spacious, and the food delicious. I highly recommend Adobe & Pines Inn for a romantic getaway, or a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of a big city.

Adobe and Pines is THE place to stay in Taos. The suites are amazing! We can't wait for our next trip.

This is an amazing bed and breakfast location. You will fall in love with the critters and the humans, as well as the setting. The rooms and the lodge are so inviting - you won't want to go home.

Katherine and Louis are great hosts and they have a gorgeous place. We stayed in the room Puerta Azul . This room was a little dark for me so would get a different one next time. We were happy to stay in it though and felt the over-all quality of the room, setting and breakfasts made this stay a very good value. A real gem in Taos!

A friend and I recently spent time at the Adobe & Pines. Louis and Katherine are delightful and go out of their way to make sure that everything is just perfect. We stayed in "Blanca" which proved to be a perfect room for two friends traveling together. There are two full bedrooms, one equally as nice as the other, so we did not even have to draw straws to see who would get the better room. The breakfasts are a real treat, both tasty and beautifully presented. I would highly recommned the Adobe & Pines Inn for your next trip to Taos.

The rooms luxurious, yet homey and charming, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, and the animals (goats, chickens, cats and dogs) add a quaint and friendly touch. Louis and Katherine are wonderful and welcoming hosts with lots of great recommendations on great local food and fun recreation. We LOVED our stay here and I'd highly recommend this B&B to anyone!

You can't go wrong with the Adobe & Pines Inn. The owners are wonderfully warm and inviting hosts and the facility is absolutely gorgeous.

The people are very friendly and genuine; rooms are spacious and quiet. The New Mexican touches are great. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are large. Both the bedroom and bathroom could have used a little dusting, but other than that, everything was very clean. Breakfast was really delicious. The "giftbag" the Inn gives you has great things like sunscreen, lipbalm, etc.

As an animal lover I was pleased with the on-site goats and chickens (fresh eggs!) as well as the family dogs and cats. They even have bee hives (fresh honey!) The gourmet breakfasts were delightful, the staff and owner were friendly, chatty, and helpful -- but completely non-intrusive when we were relaxing in the private hot-tub and on our porch. Rooms are spread out over the site in a couple of buildings around a central courtyard, everything is convenient and cozy. Even though the highway is close, the sound is masked by the ample trees, and the thick adobe walls don't allow any noise. We stayed during slack/off season, so the experience was very relaxed and tranquil. I highly recommend this, even though it is a bit of a drive to Taos you get the benefit of being out of the thick of the crowds.

The whole experience at Adobe & Pines Inn was amazing! Louis, Katherine, Tracy, Paul and the entire staff were wonderful. We could not have asked for a better experience. We've stayed at numerous B&Bs across the globe and we both declared Adobe & Pines Inn to be the best yet! We will be back very soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was exceptional! We stayed in the Violeta room, and we really like it. It was very homey feeling. We also enjoyed being able to bring our dog with us on this trip. Only complaints we had was that the bed was a bit hard and squeaky. Also the Jacuzzi tub when turned on started spitting out all sorts of black stuff. However, the tub was heavenly as long as you don't turn the jets on. The kiva fire place in the room at night was amazing. Overall we had a good experience and would recommend this B&B, and even visit again our selves.

Louis and Katherine are extremely friendly. The place is immaculate and the service is awesome. We enjoyed the place, the community and skiing. Louis was a chef so the breakfasts were to die for. I took pictures of the food before I ate. :) I took a lot of pictures of Adobe & Pines because of the labrynth and gardens. It was a great experience and I will be back next year. I highly recommend everyone stay here when they visit (or passing through) Taos.

The staff and owners were very kind and made us feel at home immediately. The room that we stayed in was lovely and had a kitchen and personal hot tub, which might come in handy after a long day of snowboarding and shopping. I also found the beautifully landscaped grounds transfixing and could not stop taking pictures. I made friends with one of the resident goats named levi, very cool little Nigerian Dwarf goat, and part dalmatian dog, Pongo. All in all, I really enjoyed staying at the Adobe & Pines and would live there if I could. I will be staying there every time my Fiance and I return to Taos, and hope to someday have our wedding there.

This was our second stay at Adobe and Pines B&B. We enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere, generous hosts and adorable animals wandering around. A nice soak in the whirlpool tub, a romantic evening by the fire and a filling, delicious breakfast was just what we needed for a quick weekend away from the city. A+

The Adobe and Pines Inn demonstrated wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable service. The grounds of the property are unique and fun, with places to explore and animals to enjoy. We loved the gourmet breakfast. Our room was well appointed, very clean, and comfortable. The location is fine (with free parking), with just a short drive to the center of town and other points of interest. When in Taos, this is the place we will stay time after time.

This was our first stay and hopefully we will be able to come back many times. The Inn is tucked away in a very peaceful location at the south end of town and made us feel like we were far out in the country. I cannot say enough good things about our gracious hosts. We had a change in plans and asked to stay and extra night. Our room was booked but Katherine found another, larger room, for us and gave us the same rate AND moved our luggage for us while we went site seeing. The rooms are beautiful, each one unique, very clean… perfect in every way. And our breakfasts prepared by Louis were absolutely terrific. I don’t believe you can not find as good a breakfast anywhere in Taos. The grounds are beautiful and the goats and chickens are fun to watch. We thought we wanted to stay close to the city center but we are very thankful we decided to stay here. I think that you will find this, as we did, to be the very best place to stay in Taos and the surrounding area.

We really love A&P, hate to leave after our relaxing stays. We can take our two small dogs (our only children) that we appreciate such a nice place to allow pets. Katherine and Louis make you feel so welcome, and Paul is awesome too - very helpful, and we just love the goats, Bebe, and the hens (fresh eggs for breakfast). We hope K&L continue to give their visitors a memorable experience for many, many years to come. The new Zen and Labryinth are an awesome addition to relaxation and meditation. We'll be back again for sure!

This is a great place to make your HQ when visiting the Taos area. I felt right at home and the grounds were really special, with a zen garden and barnyard menagerie on site. Our suite was very comfortable, and had a great patio area with fire pit, which they even set up for you daily. Breakfasts were good, though I could have done without the dogs in the breakfast room. Pet friendly, needless to say.

We have stayed at a number of B&B’s, mostly on the east coast. All involved great accommodations, service, food, experiences, etc. What we enjoyed at Adobe and Pines Inn was a serious cut above other B&B stays. Going to Taos square, experiencing the history, visiting art galleries, looking at the mountains, eating in great restaurants, touring Taos pueblo, all added to the trip, but we could have had a wonderful vacation doing nothing more than staying at the Inn. This is a great location in Taos. The landscaping is superior and you forget you are near the city. The facility is also great....clean, total accomodations, very romantic, just unique in every way compared to other bread and breakfasts that we have visited. The one thing that puts this one above every other one is the staff. They are personal, caring, and just go out of their way to take care of your every need...

When we arrived we were met by the staff who helped in getting our luggage to the room. Then we were given a tour of the B&B with a great explanation of the services available. We immediately felt at home. The ambiance is superb. The breakfasts are even better. The Adobe & Pines Inn is our number one place to stay when we visit Taos in the Land of Enchantment.

We found the service and the inn was always at its best. Very clean with a great breakfast every morning. We very much enjoyed the environment and the pets that are a great part of the inn. We will go back to this inn the next time we are in Taos.

This place is stunning, lovely, and conveniently located. We researched for half a day before choosing the Adobe Pines. There are many to choose from but we chose this because it had all the charm we were looking for at a comparable price to the plaza hotel. We stayed in the 2-level room that has the huge tile bath & private sauna. We were only able to stay for one night, which is a shame. We'd love to stay for a week here. The location is perfect and the hosts were outstanding. We felt like part of the family at first step onto the property. It truly is a lovely experience.

Kathy and Louis were wonderful--they were helpful and willing to talk, but also gave plenty of room for quiet and privacy. They make beautiful jewelry that is a fraction of the cost for what you would find downtown (believe me, we looked!). The room was charming, with a little patio out on the roof where you could see the mountains and trees. The bathroom was tiled (some of the cracks were beginning to wear--my only complaint). It was the sort of place you could enjoy in its own beauty, and just minutes away from the artistic downtown. The room fit the southwestern setting perfectly, and we enjoyed a romantic time. A beautiful property south of Taos. Next to the main road but enclosed in beautiful lawns and gardens. The proprietors were friendly, accommodating, and made us feel at home. Each room is different and has its own charm. While we didn't have a dresser to put away clothes or a bedside lamp, these were little inconveniences compared to the charm and relaxed feel to the inn. Highly recommended.

Adobe & Pines Inn is just as the pictures appear. A truly lovely Inn run by warm and charming owners and employees. The rooms are romantic and quite authentic but with the modern touches that make them comfortable. The grounds are lovely and invite one to just sit awhile and enjoy. Breakfasts are very nice and are beautifully presented. The hosts can help you find an adventureous trip if desired (rafting, horseback riding, fishing, hiking etc.) but we found that just relaxing at the Inn was a perfect getaway. Expect serenity, natural beauty and a true Taos experiance.

First time at the A & P, spent the first night in the Casa Blanca room. Extremely well appointed and comfortable room. Loved the outdoor patio and fire pit. Hot tub fantactic! Second night in Casa Rosa, much more intimate room...! Louie very entertaining, careful...he'll try to get you to do the dishes! A lovely stay in Taos. Highly recommend the Adobe and Pines Inn.

Very friendly place to stay, excellent breakfast, and some of the most beautiful grounds I have ever seen while staying at a B&B. The labyrinth was very special. Walking the grounds after breakfast created a peaceful and grounded start to the day. Also being dog friendly was important to us and they made my dog feel welcome, offering treats and attention.

I had found Adobe Pines online and did not know what to expect. I was taking my mother on her first trip to New Mexico as a birthday present. We were going to Taos and Santa Fe. When we arrived at Adobe Pines we were immediately overtaken with the beauty of the grounds. The air was fragrant from the many types of flowers that were blooming. There was a large variety of birds at the many birdfeeders on the patio, and we were overcome by a sense of serenity and relaxation just from the peaceful surroundings. Then there was the food! Outstanding! The breakfast was a variation of eggs Benedict, but the sauce was a unique creation that was incredibly flavorful and good. The plate was garnished with a variety of fruits and berries laid out in an artistic presentation. The room was wonderful! It was decorated in a traditional Southwestern Motif, and it had every modern comfort that you could want. Our room had a fireplace in the living room and bathroom, a Jacuzzi tub, a small kitchenette, and a private outdoor hot tub. It was cozy and inviting. When talking about everything that we saw and did on our New Mexico trip; my mother said that the highlight of the trip was staying at Adobe Pines, and that she would like to return just to stay there for a few days to relax and enjoy it. This is truly a private, hidden treasure. The owners and their staff are fabulous. Each room is different and all are beautiful examples of the southwest. Raspberry scones for breakfast, and other delicious things as well. We look forward to our return. Adobe and Pines is like a visit with friends.

We loved it. Katherine & Louis are wonderful hosts - gave us great restaurant recommendations & allowed us to enjoy their DVD library. Breakfast is fantastic. The Inn is close to town and an easy drive to Ski Taos. We stayed during the winter, so never got a chance to enjoy the Labyrinth Louis built. We highly recommend this B & B. We will definitely return, but this time book one of the rooms with a hot tub.

Fabulous and helpful hosts guided us to two great hikes. Also suggested an amazing local restaurant that we never would have found by ourselves. Room was super. Breakfast was gourmet - creative and tasty. We were worried that it was not in the middle of town, but they also shared their "insiders" parking tips and that wasn't an issue at all. Will definitely stay there again!

The owners are gracious. The property is a true rustic getaway with room to relax or explore. The rooms are each unique and reflect various flavors of the Southwest. Breakfast was beautiful, well-presented and pretty but we had expected a tad more in the serving sizes.

Just finished our third stay at Adobe & Pines. We've had three different rooms and all have been great. We enjoyed the grounds and wonderful attentiveness of Louis, Katherine, and Paul. The breakfasts are wonderful works of art as well as great tasting. My wife and I even got married there in July '08.

We arrived in Taos mid afternoon on Friday February 26; we were greeted by Paul who upgraded our room. He had helped us select some restaurant when I contacted him via phone a few days ahead of our trip. The restaurants he and Louis and Katherine recommended were fantastic. Louis also helped us contact the Forest Service, as we had come to Taos to snowshoe, but had never been to Taos. The room was great, the hospitality was great, the food at the B&B was also fantastic. We would highly recommend Adobe & Pines Inn for a weekend or extended stay. A wonderful snow fell on Sunday morning providing us with great pictures of the grounds. We returned to Albuquerque on Sunday after a wonderful stay.

Wife and I stayed there for our first time over Valentines' Day weekend. This place is very comfortable. We've considered starting our own B&B and Adobe & Pines Inn has many features that I'd consider emulating. (Yes, I took plenty of photos.) The breakfast is excellent and has an artistic flair; a must in Taos. The rooms have brilliant color schemes but still feel cozy. The bed was comfortable and that's saying something because I've had minor back problems lately. Overall, when we return to Taos, we'll stay at Adobe again. We don't feel a need to look around. We're satisfied enough that we'll pay more for this B&B than we would for the local motels.

We stay once per year & just adore Louis & Katherine. This is one of our most favorite places we stay anywhere! Such a charming hacienda with beautiful grounds & lovely rooms!

Loved this wonderful bed & breakfast in Taos. The owners are wonderful - everyone should try & stay here at least once in their lifetime!!! Our rooms were quaint & cozy with 2 fireplaces, jetted tub, walk-in shower, kitchenette & hot tub enclosed with privacy fencing right outside our door. The gourmet breakfast was wonderful & beautifully presented. I can't wait to visit again during the spring/summer months to take full advantage of the beautiful grounds.

stayed 2 nights and found it just a few miles from Taos. Loved the quiet and privacy. The rooms were comfortable with lots of towles, nice bathrobes and a fireplaces stocked with wood and ready to light. Loved the fireplaces in the bathroom next to the soaking tub. Breakfast with fresh organic eggs and fruit was lovely and filling. Wish I could have stayed longer and would stay again if I came back to this special place in the world.

The room was more than I expected from the pictures. We chose to retire early for the evening in order to enjoy the lovely fireplace. Everything exceeded me and my fiancee's expectations. I adored the Adobe & Pines and could have stayed weeks not days. There is an incredible feeling there that is not easily put into words, great serenity? This is a place to restore the soul.

Not like any other B&B anywhere that we've been. Loved the whole layout of the inn and gardens. Loved the fireplace in the corner (and we used it morning and night). Loved the delux bedding and very comfortable bed. Breakfasts are a work of art on your plate and enough to save some for lunch!

The hospitality and food have always being outstanding. We have stayed at many bed and breakfast, and this one is by far the best one yet. We love it.

ust returned from a 4-night stay! It was our third time there since August 2008, so obviously my husband and I love it! We love to fly fish and have found the A&P Inn is a great place to rest between trout streams. Very comfy and very stylish! We have actually gotten to stay in four different rooms now, and this last stay was in the Roja, our new favorite! We will definitely be going back and requesting this room again. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the fabulous breakfast! Whether it's a cheese omelet, eggs benedict, or Belgian waffle it was all delicious and served with fresh seasonal fruit! And did I mention the gourmet coffee? I can't say enough about it. You won't be disappointed.

I stay at a B and B in Taos every October and found this one to be among the best--excellent hosts, lovely grounds, comfortable rooms, fabulous breakfasts. I don't see what more one could ask for! We did have one of the two least expensive rooms and there is quite a jump to the other rooms but they are mostly like suites and are lovely. Our room was comfortable but dark and the other least expensive room had only a half wall separating the toilet from the sink area... stay with a good friend if you book that room. The other more expensive rooms are palatial. The location off the busy highway requires good driving pull out and in skills and has the potential to be noisey but was not. The innkeepers and breakfasts more than make up for these drawbacks. I would definitely stay here again and I NEVER repeat a B and B in Taos!

We found Adobe and Pines Inn when looking for one night of dog-friendly lodging in Taos. What we discovered was so unique that we couldn't resist a second night. The historic 1830s inn gives one a sense of time transport--the decor in each room is unique and rustic yet luxuriously comfortable. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious and artfully presented. Louis, Katherine and Paul obviously are committed to providing their guests with a superior experience and execute every detail with love and passion. The only negative is that we will never be able to return to Taos unless we are able to stay at the Adobe and Pines Inn.

We stayed in the in the Puerta Violeta room and found it to be positively charming. We both slept the best we had slept in our whole stay in NM. We would recommend this place to anyone who would ask where to stay in Taos. We also told our friends in Albuquerque it is a must to stay there on their next visit.
