Crystal Mesa Farm Bed & Breakfast

Built on the ancient Anasazi site of the San Marcos Pueblo, this charming adobe hacienda is located only 25 minutes south of the Santa Fe plaza on the historic Turquoise Trail. The Crystal Mesa Farm is conveniently situated to ensure easy access to the abundant culture of downtown Santa Fe yet beckons with the lure of wide open spaces, stunning sunset vistas and endlessly glittering night skys. To gaze from our deck upon the subtle play of light and shadow across the flowing expanse of desert is to understand why so many artists and writers have been drawn to this area for centuries.

Right out the back door there are acres of arroyos and mesas to explore with golden hawks riding the winds above to escort you on your journey. Watch for cottontails and coyotes, look for indian pottery shards to surface after a summer rain, or stay on the Farm visiting with our own collection of furred and feathered residents - a menagerie of diminutive animals including miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, and pot-bellied pigs - guaranteed to charm adults and children alike.

In the words of our guests, The Crystal Mesa Farm is a place "to be reminded of the exquisite beauty of the world", a place "so beautiful and serene and Fun!"

The Lookout Room boasts a bed designed by famous Santa Fe 'cowboy artist' L.D. Burke (see if you can get the spurs to spin all one way without actually touching them). This room has a kitchen and private deck with its own panoramic view. The San Marcos Suite offers a king-size bed flanked by antique columns from an Indian palace. There is a woodburning stove and private access to our library
The Sunset Room features a west-facing terrace and queen-size bed. An Apache ladder leads to a meditation loft with breathtaking views of the sunset and starry night skies. The Tipi: The more adventurous can follow the Tipi Trail to our Sioux tipi, with its platform futon, flagstone floor, sheepskins, and central fire pit. Its warmth and charm, even in the winter months, is not to be missed.
The East Room is our newest room, an atmospheric fusion of Southwest American and Southeast Asian decor, features stone floors and unique, open shower. The kiva-style fireplace, cedar viga ceiling, antique Chinese furnishings, collection of Asian artifacts, soothing lighting, and private entrance make the East Room one of our most popular accommodations.
