My husband and I stayed last week at the High Feather Ranch B and B for our honeymoon. I remember driving in and having a big smile on my face. What a neat place to stay. It was located not too far from town but far enough away that it was PEACEFUL and relaxing! Mornings were beautiful and Marianna's homemade breakfast was delicious every morning. I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay. We plan to go back again. It was hard to leave to be honest.

This beautiful B&B is the perfect place to get away from the buzz of city life. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is far from interruptions on gorgeous land. Breakfast was tasty, freshly home-cooked, and welcoming. I recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quaint quiet charming getaway representative of the spirit of New Mexico.

My husband and I just got back from a week at the High Feather B & B. We really enjoyed our stay. Marianna is wonderful, the perfect hostess. A family from Chicago was also staying at the B & B and they were delightful. Marianna has a neat dog named Thunder who will follow you everywhere, he's a great comfort for us dog lovers who had to leave our furbabies at home! Marianna is in an area of amazing horse trails, we took our 2 horses on vacation with us and Marianna graciously allowed us to keep them on her place. She had a nice corral with shelter and water. We would recommend the High Feather B & B to ANYONE. You will NOT find a better breakfast ANYWHERE, the food that Marianna cooks is amazing.

High Feather is innkeeper Marianna Hatten's dream-come-true, and it shows. She is an engaging and enthusiastic host. We were fascinated to hear about the extraordinary care and attention to detail that went into construction and design, from the adobe-over-straw-bale building technique to the Tennessee barn that she had dismantled and transported to re-assemble as the ceiling of the great room. Her breakfasts are delicious and plentiful - this morning we enjoyed peach griddle cakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits. The views and landscape are exquisite; the night sky is a stargazer's dream. The quiet and solitude were startling at first, but relaxing and peaceful once us city dwellers got acclimated. For dining and shopping, it's a short drive to the quaint, artsy town of Madrid, and a longer but still reasonable drive to Santa Fe. As Denver residents, we found it a perfect location for a long weekend getaway.
