Lovely Inn

3.0 on July 21, 2014

This was our third time at the Normandy Inn and the visit was just as pleasant as our prior stays. The convenient location - 1 block from the beach - along with the hospitable staff and comfortable ambience made our visit to Spring Lake very enjoyable. We were able to check in early and use beach tags, towels and get relaxed early afternoon. We like to bring our own wine and have a glass (or two) on the porch before dinner and then ventured out to one of the many restaurants we've enjoyed before. Staff was pleasant at check in/out and breakfast was pleasant. We stayed in room 102 which is a good size, just up the steps and has a cozy porch. I expect we will return for another getaway sometime soon.

Great B&B - Try the Tower Room!

4.2 on July 18, 2013

We stayed in the Tower Room (Room 200). There's a bathroom on the floor below that doesn't have much ventilation, which is the only minus. The room has a great view and, with all the windows open, is very breazy. The breakfast was great, and the staff is very friendly.

Great stay

4.0 on July 14, 2013

The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. The location was just as advertised- a short block to the beach. Beautiful place. Free bikes to tour with, as well as beach passes, umbrellas and chairs. The only knock would be the weak wifi signal to our room. Downstairs in the lounge areas it was just fine. Afternoon tea with fruit tea and pasties was relaxing. Comfortable and clean and friendly, what more could anyone ask?

Charming Victorian B&B

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely, relaxing stay at this beautiful Victorian B&B. The homemade treats served at tea and the breakfast were all delicious. The staff at the inn was friendly and very accommodating.

Glorious Stay

4.8 on October 05, 2012

My wife and I stayed for w weekend in October and enjoyed a delightful relaxing stay with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Due to it being off season, the aura was quiet and restful beyond compare. The Inn is wonderfully furnished and charming with a veranda that calls you to take pleasure in it. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

A few days at the beach !

3.8 on September 27, 2012

" I recently spent a few days at The Normandy Inn at the beach. This 1880’s house is beautiful and clean; it’s wonderfully furnished and decorated with authentic period pieces. They provide all you need for a visit to the beach. The food was very good with excellent service. Hilarie and Gina are great, very helpful and pleasant..! They went out of their way to assist me in any way they could. They were even making calls on my behalf, to inquire about the status of local restaurants etc. and make reservations. They made my staygreat !

Location, Victorian details, breakfast

3.8 on July 15, 2012

Normandy Inn is a step into the past, with a beautiful porch sitting area, a dining room that serves breakfast you select from a menu....with the best blueberry pancakes for miles. If you are looking for modern amenities, the latest in linens and artwork...this place is not for you as the Inn does it's best to stay in Victorian style, with amazing old photographs, and furnishings. You are a short walk from the beach and beach tags, chairs, towels and umbrellas are provided; just pack your suits. The neighborhood is lovely and it's wonderful to go touring through on bikes because the area's houses, architecture and gardens are so picturesque. The Inn's bikes leave much to be desired; this is my only complaint. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area and especially good at securing preferred reservations at the best restaurants in the area.

Innkeeper Response
Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind words and positive review of The Normandy. We truly do love what we do and work to show this to our guests every day. We are delighted that you enjoyed our inn as well as the surrounding area. It is through this feedback that we feel priviledged to continue our work in this fashion! Best wishes from The Normandy Inn!

Very charming place to stay, a little expensive however.

2.8 on October 12, 2011

The B&B is very cozy but alltogether a little expensive for what it is. I stayed in the "tower" which means our bathroom was down the hall and not attached to the room. This was fine however the reduction in cost of the room was not comprable to the inconvenience and lack of privacy this caused. Beach is very close! Beautiful porch for mornings with coffee.

Wonderfully inviting inn

I have been here every year for the past three years and love coming back. It is a charming inn with comfortable rooms, a warm and welcoming staff and is really just a short distance from the beach. They provide everything you need, including bikes, and a delicious breakfast and afternoon tea. They are so accommodating!

Great find

Super staff. Very accomodating and friendly. Also they dont hose you into 2 or 3 night stay as many do in the area. Parking is tight on premises but plenty more a block away.

My favorite night of 2011

A wonderfull fireplace, and a giant bed provided the perfect getaway for my girlfriend and I. Great service and a fantastic breakfast. My only complainnt is that I had to leave.

Let it snow...

4.0 on January 02, 2011

We had scheduled our mid week getaway this past fall. However Mother Natue cancelled our plans. The Normandy Inn staff was gracious and accomodating as snow removal was going very slowly in Monmmouth and Ocean County. They said they would either completely refund my deposit ar apply to another reservation. Sometimes it is how a cancelltion is handled that can affect how you view a place. I look forward to rebooking at the inn.

The Normandy Inn is very charming and within an easy walk to the beach.

clean, comfortable and courteous

My husband and I stayed here 2 weeks ago, and found the Inn to be comfortable and homey. The breakfast is superb and the rooms are clean , well kept. It felt like being at home. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The rates in the early season could be a little lower, I feel.
