This large room overlooking the pool is furnished in natural wicker enhanced by cream quilts with touches of deep burgundies and greens. A cherry wood electric corner fireplace adds to the ambiance. Room 9 Twin Lights This two room “parlor suite” is amusingly decorated in an “Out of Africa” theme. The bedroom has a queen bed with mosquito netting. The parlor/sitting room has a queen pull out couch with a black gas fireplace, an exotic setting to enjoy a snifter of brandy while watching the flames dance. Tucked away off the bathroom is a hidden Jacuzzi room. A romantic hideaway for two or just the ticket for a girlfriends’ getaway. Room 12 Pond Island The ultimate beach getaway featuring white wicker highlighted by summery blues and greens, this first floor room features your preference of a king or two twin beds and overlooks the pool. Easy access off the Summer House porch and Parlor. Bathroom with shower, individual built in air conditioner, color cable TV and ceiling fan. Located on the first floor of the Summer House.
Room 14 Harbor of Refuge Pretty in pink, with white wicker furniture accented by summery colors of seafoam green, beige and white, this small room has a queen bed tucked into a nook. The private balcony faces north with views to the east and west and provides a great opportunity to check out the scene across the street at The Parker House. Bathroom with neo-angle shower, individual built in air conditioner, color cable TV and ceiling fan. Located on the second floor of the Summer House.
Room 15 Greens Ledge This spacious room is delightfully decorated in Laura Ashley’s Bramble pattern of greens and lavenders and natural wicker furnishings. Tall windows overlook the pool, and a queen bed along with a double pullout couch make for a restful retreat for two or an economical room for up to four guests. Large bathroom with an oversized shower and vanity, individual built in air conditioner, color cable TV and ceiling fan. Located on the second floor of the Summer House.
Room 17 Rose Island This beautifully bright room with lots of windows and two twin beds is decorated with white furniture accented by summery colors of rose, blue, green and white. Split bathroom features sink and commode in one and shower in another. Individual built in air conditioner, color cable TV and ceiling fan. Located on the second floor of the Summer House. Adjoins room 16 – Eastern Point.
Room 18 North Island Tucked away, way up high, with natural cedar furniture and decorated in an Adirondack mountain theme. The private balcony with its two rocking chairs provides for an incomparable view of the ocean and the surrounding area. Slanted ceilings provide a cozy, cabin atmosphere where you’ll feel hidden away from the rest of the world. Room 20 Prospect Harbor Nautical décor of red, white and blue blends with sturdy maple furniture in this “L” shaped room with eaved ceilings facing the Parker House. The Cottage Informal and private, decorated in a Key West tropical palm theme, our compact two bedroom cottage has one full bathroom with shower. Each bedroom has one double bed, dresser, a large closet and an individual air conditioner. The cozy living/sitting area has natural wicker furniture, ceiling fan and a color cable TV. A fully equipped kitchenette is supplemented by a gas grill on the private outdoor deck with an umbrella table and chairs. Bed linens, towels, beach passes and daily housekeeping are provided. Thw Carriage House Very private, large ground level studio has a queen bed, bathroom with spa showerhead, kitchenette, and a twin pull out loveseat. The Light House Studio Spacious studio apartment with a private entrance is decorated in a lighthouse theme and features a queen bed, bathroom with a shower/tub combination and a fully equipped kitchenette. A rollaway bed is available for a third person. Air conditioned with ceiling fan and color cable television. Bed linens, towels, beach passes and daily housekeeping are provided. Located just one block from the crashing Atlantic and Sea Girt's historic lighthouse, The Beacon House welcomes you with an ambiance which is uniquely its own. Built in the classic style of a grand Victorian seaside inn, circa 1879, its two spacious houses are framed by panoramic wrap around porches lined with comfortable wicker and rockers. Elegant crystal chandeliers descend over polished oak floors and spacious parlors are warmed by fireplaces in the cooler months. Both houses have been beautifully restored and renovated with 18 individually decorated guest rooms all with private baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans and color cable televisions. Mornings begin with the aroma of fresh brewed coffee followed by a sumptuous homemade breakfast served in our bright and elegant dining room. My family and I have been staying at the Beacon House for years! While there are other NJ shore options, all pale in comparison to the Beacon House. It has charming rooms, each with its own nautical theme, ample parking, a pool, top-rate breakfast, and amicable staff (wait staff, housekeeping, and the innkeepers Candy and Kathy). Moreover, it is a mere block away from the Sea Girt beach (beach passes, chairs, towels, and bicycles provided by the Beacon House), boardwalk, and concession house and across the street from the Parker House - a NJ shore favorite restaurant and bar. There's no beating the Parker House if you're looking for a classy, friendly, and convenient place to stay at the NJ shore!

Only one block from the beach, the Beacon House was an excellent place to rest and recharge for the weekend. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty (though there was only one menu item on Sunday morning - watermelon "mojito", blueberry French toast with sausage). Sea Girt beach badges were included, as was a parking spot (plenty of free street parking available within blocks). We arrived before our room was ready, but were able to use the changing room/bathroom before hitting the beach. Would definitely stay there again!

This is a great B&B that does not require a "two night minimum" as most NJ shore places require. Staff and innkeeper very friendly. The innkeeper's dog loves to be petted. For those who don't want to drink and drive, Parker House is right across the street. The outdoor bar has a very Key West type atmosphere. You half expect Ernest Hemingway to come walking in. Breakfast at the Beacon House is served by a very friendly staff and the food was a nice combination of flavors and textures. Quite tasty! We will return! We spent 4 nights at the Beacon House recently, our visit B & B visit. We were so pleasantly surprised. The staff are terrific and go out of their way. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. The distance to the beach was just about as good as it get, literally a 3 minute walk at best. I would highly recommend for a great beach getaway.

Sea Girt is a pearl on the NJ coast. We found The Beacon House with a friendly atmosphere and a dedicated owner Candy. Our room was top class with an ocean view balcony and a quiet AC. My husband and I spent three nights at The Beacon House recently and enjoyed every relaxing minute of it. The breakfasts were delicious, our room w/balcony was great to come back to after a day at the beach and very relaxing to sit out on in the evening after going out to dinner. The wrap around front porch was also nice to sit and relax and meet other guests at the inn. Candy, the Innkeeper, was very friendly as was her staff. An added feature, that most inns don't have, was the pool. We have stayed at other B&Bs in the Spring Lake area in the past, but The Beacon House is the one that we will definately be coming back to in the future. It was just what we needed...

The hospitality is endless. The inn and the grounds are beautifully kept and maintained. The Beacon House is a very comfortable and relaxing place to be near the ocean. I have many happy memories of Sea Girt, NJ, and the Beacon House is the perfect place to relive them.
