The award winning Carriage House, located just one block from the Atlantic Ocean and one block from the Grove's business district, is an intimate eight room Bed & Breakfast dedicated to insure the ultimate in elegance, comfort and convenience. Each of our guest rooms features a private bath, air conditioning and cable TV, while our larger rooms have queen size beds and working fireplaces for those frosty autumn and winter evenings. At the Carriage House your day begins with a sumptuous full breakfast served by the fireplace in our elegant dining room. After breakfast and throughout the day, you can unwind on our porch and let the cool ocean breezes take you back to another time. Small business meetings and social functions are welcome. My family & I were lucky enough to spend four nights at the Carriage House this summer. We absolutely loved it! Phil & Kathi do an incredible job at making guests feel welcomed. Guests have full access to the guest kitchen to store food, make coffee or have a late night snack. The porch & living room are perfect to relax and read. The location is a block away from the beach or town center. The house is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean & rooms are very comfortable. To top it off, the breakfast is delicious & one can taste Kathi's extra love & hard work in every bite! We definitely recommend the Carriage House to those looking for a getaway at Ocean Grove. Needless to say, we will be coming back!

The Carriage House is a lovely B&B conveniently located in Ocean Grove, with a one block walk to the beach & 1/2 mile walk to Asbury Park. Kathi makes the most spectacular breakfasts that we've ever had. We will definitely return.

the carriage house is located a block from the beach, and it's clean and friendly. kathi's breakfasts are the best in ocean grove, and phil is extremely knowledgeable about the area. a great value for the cost.

We would just like to say thank you for a great weekend. It is the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. The room was clean and accommodating. The breakfasts were superb. We felt very welcome, job well done and we will definitely return and spread the word to our friends and family.

Admittedly, I often choose a B and B primarily for value or scenery, at minimal cost. I found this B and B at Ocean Grove, conveniently located 1 block from the beautiful, clean ocean. I noted that Carriage House had a notably small bedroom available for a reasonable price; all I need is a bed for nighttime sleeping and a hearty breakfast to start my day. Although many of the b and bs there are Victorians, the rooms are small, so this would be no different in that respect. Upon our arrival, Kathy gave us a tour of the b and b to show us and explain the other amenities: large tv/movie area in the basement (about 100 dvds), a library, fridge storage for guests, and a sitting room on the first floor. There is an extremely comfortable porch (seen in picture) with many types of sitting areas, and she explained there was a patio, which we did not visit. The breakfast room is a lovely basement room with Victorian accoutrements and music played. If you arrive early (breakfast is served between 9 and 10) you can choose your table. Breakfast is buffet, with wonderful food that Kathy makes and Phil serves. There are plainer options (cereal) but the serving table contains wonderful, tasty foods to accommodate every palate; Kathy will share the recipes with you, if you ask. We have been to many bed and breakfasts, and this food was my husband's favorite (and he watches all of those cooking shows). Kathy and Phil allow you to proceed independently and privately for your stay or will be happy to answer your questions and help meet your needs. Ask about the discounted beach tags as well. I went expecting little but received A LOT! The room was small, but met our needs. It turned out to be in a quiet location at the end of the hallway. There is actually a small t.v. The room was clean and suitable, with great air conditioning (Room 6, the smallest room). No doubt about it- we will return! Thank you Carriage House for making my last 2 days of vacation enjoyable and memorable!

My cousin and I stayed in room 7 (twin beds). The accommodations were charming and comfortable, with a view of the ocean. The inn is tastefully decorated and the breakfasts were delicious, with different dishes every day. The innkeepers were very gracious and pleasant to deal with. The porch is a great place to relax after an evening stroll on the boardwalk or around town. We'll definitely stay here again!
