We've just arrived home from our 4th stay at Summer Nites. We return every year because it is by far the best B&B we've ever visited. Unlike some boring and stuffy places, Summer Nites is full of positive energy. Sheila, "Mom" and Rick are great hosts. The 50's theme is a lot of fun. Each room has a different theme. Our favorite so far is the 60's room but we also love the 70's room and Life's a Beach room. The Music room is also nice and suited for budget minded travelers. The entire B&B is like a retro museum with unlimited cool stuff to look at. The breakfasts are great. I appreciate sitting in a private booth with a juke box. Many B&Bs have guests sit together at a common table with forced small talk. At Summer Nites you can meet new people or enjoy your privacy. We have so much food that I always take a doggy bag to the beach for lunch. They accommodate dietary restrictions and prepare the food to your requested specifications. The location is an easy walk to the beach but set back far enough to stay away from the extra congestion around the boardwalk. We've always lucked out with the weather but Summer Nites has entertainment for rainy days including a game room and pool table. Sheila serves root beer ice cream floats and milkshakes at 4 PM everyday. The house is beautiful with well maintained garden beds and a front porch that is worth spending hours on to people watch and relax. Above all else, this family run business treats guests like family. I always feel welcomed and they're happy to see us. They are fun to talk to and I enjoy their company. I cannot imagine booking elsewhere when we're at the NJ shore. We plan to return each year as Summer Nites is now our summer tradition.

My only regret was that we didn't plan a longer visit. We went over night to celebrate our anniversary, it could not have been any more wonderful. Great decor, outstanding hospitatily, awesome food. I cannot wait to go back. Such a great great place that has set the bar quite high for any bed and breakfast I visit in the future.
