Listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places. Sited on a sloped, broad lawn overlooking West Mill Road and the distant South Branch of the Raritan River, this high-style colonial farmhouse on over 800 acres represents an early and notable example of Greek Revival architecture in rural Morris County. The degrees of detailing and fine workmanship distinguish the historic Neighbour House from other rural farmhouses of the period. Experience the romantic charm of this unique farmhouse featuring original heart-pine floors, pocket doors, folding shutters, eight fireplaces and a sweeping staircase with mahogany bannister. The four spacious bedrooms are tastefully decorated for your comfort and enjoyment. Relax by rocking the afternoon away on the columned porch or linger over tea on the rear bricked veranda. A large living room, dining room, reading room and kitchen are also for your enjoyment. Enjoy a breakfast of fresh fruit (in season), juice, homemade bread, cereal, eggs, coffee or tea, highlighted by homemade fresh bread or cinnamon coffee cake served by your gracious hosts. In addition to warm hospitality, charming atmosphere and superior service, we offer any of the following: - Walking, hiking and biking. - Horseback riding lessons at the adjacent farm. - Popular restaurants and live music within 1/2 mile. - Gifts and cards to celebrate guest's birthdays and anniversaries.

A lovely place with period details, but lived-in rather than fussy. Generous breakfast. Best of all -- warm and friendly hosts.

My husband and I stayed here because we were going to a party locally and we were very pleased. Rafi made us feel very welcomed and cooked us a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend staying here.

I took my lady on a trip through New Jersey's back roads with the expectation we'd wind our way into Morris County toward the late afternoon. In anticipation of this, I'd reserved accommodation at the Neighbor House for some exposure to open pastures, horses and forest. Iris and Rafi greeted us with a tour of the restored farm house and our room. The detail and comforts of their Inn are worth the visit. Everything was as pictured and described. Only positive surprises. We had dinner at an upscale pub up the road at the town intersection. Nearby the Inn is a farmstand, sheep dairy, the breakfast served was fresh and without compromise, as in, it wasn't a cheap spread of empty carbs. Morris County is full of little highlights making it a fun day trip. It's even better with a cozy farmhouse inn to stay the night or weekend.

Iris and Rafi were extremely warm and welcoming guest. My wife and I were there for our anniversary. When we got into our room, we were treated to a bottle of wine left by our hosts. Iris also convinced us to ge to The Cafe Wine Bar down the road instead of our original dinner plans. The restaurant was divine as was this B&B. We will be back.

The hosts were thoughtful, well- read judging by the extensive book collection, interesting, and joined in some interesting discussions. I would love to return again.

We have never met more sincere, friendly innkeepers in all our travels. Iris and Rapha wecomed us into their home and made us feel so very comfortable. The breakfast was simply a feast! The rooms were lovely, the beds comfortable and very clean. We can not wait to visit again.

I stayed here when I was participating in a recent craft show which was nearby. Iris and Rafi are wonderful hosts and I will definitely return. I recommend the Neighbour House B&B.
