Listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places. Sited on a sloped, broad lawn overlooking West Mill Road and the distant South Branch of the Raritan River, this high-style colonial farmhouse on over 800 acres represents an early and notable example of Greek Revival architecture in rural Morris County. The degrees of detailing and fine workmanship distinguish the historic Neighbour House from other rural farmhouses of the period. Experience the romantic charm of this unique farmhouse featuring original heart-pine floors, pocket doors, folding shutters, eight fireplaces and a sweeping staircase with mahogany bannister. The four spacious bedrooms are tastefully decorated for your comfort and enjoyment. Relax by rocking the afternoon away on the columned porch or linger over tea on the rear bricked veranda. A large living room, dining room, reading room and kitchen are also for your enjoyment. Enjoy a breakfast of fresh fruit (in season), juice, homemade bread, cereal, eggs, coffee or tea, highlighted by homemade fresh bread or cinnamon coffee cake served by your gracious hosts. In addition to warm hospitality, charming atmosphere and superior service, we offer any of the following: - Walking, hiking and biking. - Horseback riding lessons at the adjacent farm. - Popular restaurants and live music within 1/2 mile. - Gifts and cards to celebrate guest's birthdays and anniversaries.

A wonderful place to stay! Rafi and Iris are the perfect hosts; gracious, welcoming, kind...just delightful people. The house is beautiful and spacious with attention given to the little details to make your stay perfect. We were celebrating our anniversary and my husband's birthday, and it was a perfect weekend. Highly recommended! Can't wait to go back for a visit!

We came to Long Valley for a family wedding and stayed for a full week at Neighbour House. We were wonderfully looked after at Neighbour House and would recommend it.

What a treat and treasure the Neighbour House is to the Long Valley area. Loved it here, and yet my wife and I are wanting to also keep it our best kept secret too. The trip we took to the area was meant for getting back to some roots, but little did we know, or expect, that this would be part of the high light of our trip too. We have never stayed, before, at a bed and breakfast. But I can say this much....We will for sure be back again. Forget the hotels. This is the way to go in this area, for sure!

A very nice B&B. The hosts are welcoming, the room was comfortable and the breakfast ample. The setting and views are spectacular, only marred by the vehicles the owner uses in his construction business. When we arrived, I thought that perhaps there was construction going on in the B&B, but I guess they are always present. Not a huge deal, but it does detract from the overall idyllic nature of the surroundings.

beautiful historic house that isn't overdone or too decorated. the owners are laid back - not in your business - which was great for my family of mixed generations. It was nice not to feel like a guest in someone's home where you have to make constant conversation. The owners were friendly, just not pushy like I've experienced at other B&Bs. They lent my son a basketball to play in the driveway. Breakfast was lovely with the best coffee cake EVER.

My husband and I stayed at The Neighbour House for two nights. I had one of the best nights of sleep in a long time. The property was beautiful and peaceful, the room comfortable and clean, and last but certainly not least, our hosts Iris and Rafi were so graceful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We intend on staying there from now on she we are up that way visiting our relatives. Highly recommend.

We have arrived much later at night as originally planned and it was nice to see our host left note on the doors with cell numbers to call. Their son welcomed us and walked us to our room. We had choice -Pink or White room. We have selected white room.We stayed only one night. This place had very nice home feel to it, old cottage charm like bedrooms and definitely comfortable for couple. The bed was very comfortable, sheets very soft, We have enjoyed nice breeze coming in through opened windows, room had very cozy ambiance. The bathroom had everything we need for shower(except we could't find large towels-only one) Breakfast was served little too early for us-8AM. But didn't mind to get nice early start in romantic setting of the dinning room.Seasonal fresh fruits, yogurts, bunt cake and our choice of eggs and toast were served. Everything was served on old beautiful china. Another couple who stayed at this place joined us. Hostess Iris was attentive and pleasant offered coffee refills.BTW, very good coffee. Rafi, her husband came to say hello and thanked us for our stay. After the breakfast we went back upstairs to take a nap. At that hour, local traffic picked up and I could hear the cars quite a bit. Maybe next time we try Pink room located on the other side of the house. Well kept property, old historical home with nice decor. Great getaway for couples. Close to the historic Chester and Peapack/ Gladstone, NJ.
