Chimney Hill Estate Inn

We stayed at Chimney Hill during the first week in May and had a wonderful stay. I originally booked the Hunter Room but when we got to the Inn Terry (Innkeeper) offer The Tapestry Room instead because the bathroom was inside the room (Hunter Room bathroom is outside room). Tapestry Room is located in the original part of the house so WiFi in the room didn't work however we didn't have any problems using it in the main floor. Our room was very clean and so was the rest of the house, we were the only couple staying in the main house with three other couples in the barn. We walked over to see the animals on the property and got awesome pictures of them. Next day we were greeted by Terry, gave us the breakfast menu lorraine quiche bacon coffee cake fruit coffee juice, what an awesome breakfast!! Terry came by to chat, gave us tips on where to go what to do and also shared with me her awesome coffee cake recipe. Thank you Terry for a lovely stay and sharing your recipe with me.

We stayed at the Chimney Hill Inn the weekend of June 3 - 5 and it was fantastic. Terry, the hostess, was simply amazing. It is clear that she loves her work and she is very good at what she does. The house was very comfortable. We spend an evening having wine in the Stone Room. The breakfast area was very nice and the food was amazing. We had a great time feeding the Alpacas. The Inn seems to be in a remote location - but in truth we were less than a mile from downtown Lambertville and just across the bridge is New Hope. Both of the small towns feature plenty of great places to eat and hang out. We also visited a few of the local wineries, the Living History Farm, the flea market, and the Wildflower Preserve. A truely fantastic place to spend some time.

Chimney Hill Estate Inn is simply perfect in every way. We've visited a few times, and found it to be a very relaxing place to take a break. Away from the rigors of life in the twenty-first century, we were able to enjoy beautiful rooms, a beautifully landscaped property, sweet alpacas, and delicious home cooking.

We stayed here 3/72-3/29 as a groupon package. It exceeded all expectations. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend to anyone. We stayed in Barn Suite 3 and it was amazing. Although we also had the TV mysteriously go on in the middle of the night! Terry was an amazing host! Definitly going back!! Love the Alpacas and everything else about this place!!

Great inn keepers, adorable alpacas, fine dining, fun antiqueing

I had made a reservation for our anniversary. When my husband got sick a few days before, I asked if we could postpone our stay. Terry graciously moved our date back as requested. It turned out that we were the only ones there on the new date, but we never felt unwelcomed. The inn is charming and the rooms are well-appointed. There is no TV in either the rooms or the common areas, which is a nice escape from the world. However, the dim lighting makes it difficult to read. The alpacas are fun. We enjoyed our stay.

I originally purchased a Groupon to stay at this Lambertville B&B. Unfortunately the promotional timeframe expired, but we were able to use the fee toward a one night stay. We stayed in Barn Room #1. Our first impression was full of awe. The atmosphere is a well kept old barn estate. The main house which is the common area is your traditional exposed beam, plank flooring, rock wall house. Just spectacular. The decor is charming, welcoming and romantic. Meticulous and beautiful. The included breakfast was delicious. The Innkeeper Terry completes the package with a warmth and sincerity of your favorite cousin. The barn room itself was very clean, and comfortable. Aside from the 2-person sitting couch being uncomfortable and the TV randomly blaring channel 4 at 3:30am (ghost???), it was a great place to stay. I initially felt the price was a little steep but would highly recommend this B&B if they are up your alley.

We stayed in Barn Suite #2. We had a great time in Lambertville, NJ, and New Hope, PA, on our 3 day getaway. The Bed and Breakfast itself was beautiful, quaint, and clean. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the innkeepers went out of their way to ensure that we had a delightful stay. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I stayed here as a romantic getaway before a deployment and had the most wonderful time. Terry and Rich were wonderful hosts, and all the guests were very warm and friendly. The breakfasts were delicious, the service was great, and the alpacas added a fun aspect to our trip. Would definitely come back!

Excellent breakfast. Very nice room. The alpacas on the farm are a nice addition. We arrived after 6 on a Saturday and the office was closed but we'd received a phone call a few hours earlier letting us know and telling us where our room key would be. It would have been nice to stay a little longer and unfortunately Saturday night was daylight savings so we lost another hour. It would have been nice if breakfast was served until a little later - they stop serving at 9:45 AM - only 8:30-9:45. I don't believe that information was on the website any place. Nor that you needed to arrive by 5:30 to have an actual person greet you. But I'd go back - very nice place.

This was our second time staying at The Chimney Hill Inn and again we were amazed at what a wonderful retreat this Inn is...Terry is an amazing host and makes you feel right at home. The ambience of the entire property is amazingly comfortable, inviting, with nicely decorated rooms that make you feel right at home! Also, Terry's breakfast menu's are always delicious and inspiring...good food and lots of it! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING OUR SHORT WEEKEND TRIP FEEL LIKE A LONG AND RELAXING GET AWAY!!! Terry and Rich were wonderful! Room was comfortable and clean, breakfasts were special. Enjoyed the fireside conversations with other guests and Rich shared some very amusing stories. No need for a television in this "make you feel at home" inn.

My wife and I just returned from a thoroughly delightful three-day stay at Chimney Hill Estate Inn. We loved our room (The Library) with a super-comfortable four-poster with canopy, window exposure on three sides, a fireplace, and two wing-backed chairs fireside for reading and talking and sipping during these winter days. Terry and Rick are superb innkeepers, the breakfasts are first-rate, the fellow guests so convivial that two other couples eventually joined our tables-for-two at breakfast for a sextet conversation and then we all decided to dine together than night, which we did in one of Lambertville's many excellent restaurants. We'll return to Chimney Hill Estate Inn soon and often!

The accommodations were lovely and the breakfasts were scrumptious! We stayed on a great package and enjoyed unwinding at this gracious inn. No TVs in the main house lends to peace, quiet, and actual conversation! We loved getting to know the guests and the alpacas!

The barn suites were a bit dated, but charming. The service was fabulous as were the breakfasts. I would definitely return!

Chimney Hill Estate is located in rural New Jersey. The scenery was beautiful especially in the snow! Our package included dinner certificate at Anton's at the Swan and wine tasting and winery tour at Unionville Winery. The dinner at Anton's was fabulous.. dinner was delicious and the service was impeccable. We loved the fact that the owner/chef cooks his meals using local ingredients. The experience at the winery was so much fun. We learned alot about growing grapes and making wine. We'd love to return in the warmer weather to enjoy the countryside.

We had a great time at the Chimney Hill Estate. Terry & Carol see to it that all of the guests are happy . Nice touches like home baked cookies in the kitchen any time of the day. The Main House was beautifully decorated for the holidays

I can't thank the gracious staff at Chimney hill enough for their attentiveness. I needed a room at the last minute for my parents, and they worked with us to accommodate. The breakfast was superb, and the hostess made time to give us information about the history of the estate. The alpacas were darling, and definitely a highlight.

We loved the entire experience of staying at Chimney Hill Estate...from the jacuzzi tub and romantic fireplace in our room to the extremely yummy breakfast we had in the Manor home. The owners were so gracious and their actions and friendliness prove just how much they really love what they do and enjoy people. The alpacas were adorable! Highly recommend this B&B even if just for a one-night getaway!

A very warm and inviting Inn. Close to so many activities in New Hope and Lambertville. We loved our stay!

Stayed for two nights at the Chimney Hill Estate Inn and it was nothing less than extradinary. The accomodations were warm and inviting and the owner Terry was most graciious and pleasant. The breakfasts were delicious each morning in the comfort of the dining room and the fires at night and early morning in the stone room was very relaxing. Definately going back again. Loved it!

We had a wonderful autumn weekend. The Inn was great and people were wonderful. The settings and food at breakfast were to die for. Would definetly return!

We stayed for two nights in a loft cabin. It was charming. The staff made you feel at home and cooked us a wonderful breakfast each morning. We enjoyed feeding the Alpacas and gallivanting through the nearby towns. October was a perfect time to go as the leaves were changing and it was beauitful! We were impressed with everyone we spoke to include staff at Chimney Hill Estate Inn, Marsha Browns, The Black Swan, Lambertville Inn Station and the shop keepers at Lahoska. Everyone was extremely friendly, all our meals were wonderful and it was a lovely weekend. I highly recommend taking a romantic getaway here or bring your children. This trip can be what you make of it. Enjoy!

Room was very tight, but the price was reasonable. It was the first B&B my Mom (83yrs old) stayed in and was so impressed and enjoyed herself and would like to go back. Carolee

This is a beautiful property, great room and freindly people. I did note realize that a "private" bathroom is not necessarily en-suite. It is just not shared with others. That is my only complaint otherwise excellent. Feeding the alpacas was fun. Anton's at the Swan was romantic

There are many lodging locations nearby offering modern amenities to choose from. My wife and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Chimney Hill Estate Inn. It was our last stop on a 17 day, 10800 km trip though 26 states in the USA. What a warm and relaxing experience it was in a beautiful old town location. The rooms were beautiful and nicely decorated. We especially liked the jacuzzi tub and shower, 2-sided fireplace and loft bedroom. The inn is situated in a nice quiet, cozy area with alpacas and llamas on the farm. Thank you for this enjoyable experience and we are very likely to return. My only piece of advise is to invest in new bed pillows. Brianna and Anthony

I enjoyed the B&B overall. It was a very nice setting. The room didn't have an attached bathroom and the last day of our stay we didn't get any clean towels. We had to use the robe to dry with. The breakfast awas very good. The owners were very nice. It was fun feeding the Alpacas.

Stayed at Chimney Hill Inn last weekend for a one night romantic getaway and loved it. The inn keeper Eric was amazing, friendly and helpful. The room, Barn Suite #3, was exactly what we wanted. It was spotless and clean. The breakfast was amazing. The grounds are beautiful. It's in close proximity to two nice little towns (Lambertville, NJ & New Hope, PA) that have good food and some interesting shops to visit. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends. Our only suggestion is to install some curtains or blinds on the windows. We felt like we were giving all the others guests a show.

I spent one night here and it was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. The proprietors were extremely nice, including when we called them at 9 PM because we couldn't get into our room (we were turning the key the wrong way). In addition we received a free upgrade on our room for no reason at all. The bed was fantastic and everything was well maintained and clean. The food was very good and served in generous proportions. Finally the alpacas were a great addition to the day. Remember to ask for some alpaca food if you want to get up close to them.

This place was very nice. The inn keeper was very helpful. We had stayed in Lamberville NJ before so we knew where we wanted to go. But the inn keeper gave us new ideas. She told us about the Market in the area and that was great! The B&B itself was very clean and quiet and safe. The bed was comfortable but high. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The common areas were comfortable with two fire places. One fireplace was a gas burning fire place and the other was a wood burning fireplace. The guests were friendly too.

We had a groupon for this Bed and Breakfast and were so glad we took advantage of it. Our package included a 2 night stay, wine tasting at a local winery, a voucher for a restaurant called "Anton at the Swan" and a complimentary bottle of wine. In addition, the innkeeper raises alpaccas and we got to feed them. That was an experience. The inn was warm and cozy. The rooms we had were lovely and very clean. Our innkeeper gave us a map and pointed out local places of interest. We went to dinner the first night on her recommendation and were very pleased with the choice. The second night we had dinner at "Antons at the Swan". This place was 5 star. We were very impressed. The breakfasts we had at the inn were fabulous. The french toast was amazing. The dining area was quaint and cozy. I would recommend this inn to anyone looking for a charming, relaxing stay.

This was our second year and we will definitely go back again next year. Even thinking about planning our wedding there..

Not your average B and B but more of a great inn allowing easy access to all to do in the area. The set up allowed you to enjoy the other guest as little or as much as you wanted. Staff was welcoming but did not hover over you. Great Getaway!

Chimney Hill Estate Inn was a nice place to go for a nice little getaway. The home was charming, but the outside grounds and the building were in need of some TLC. The service was exceptional and they are great at thinking of everything you might need to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The location was nice and close to town, just a quick drive. We stayed in the Barn suite, which was clean and spacious, but the spiral stairs are a little intimidating when you have to use the bathroom during the night. I would recommend Chimney Hill Estate to a friend.

Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The main house is warm and inviting, with a large living room and another sitting room with ample sofas and a wood burning fireplace. We loved the breakfast served each morning in the main house dining room. The alpacas were an extra bonus!

We loved staying at the Chimney Inn B&B. We found this place through a Groupon offer. The offer not only included a reduced rate for the room but also a significant discount at one of the best restaurants in town (Anton's at the Swam) a free bottle of wine and a free wine tasting at a local winery. The staff were very nice and attentive. The Alpacas were a fun touch.

Our weekend stay was fabulous. Our room was nicely appointed with a spacious bathroom. Both breakfasts were delicious - strata and french toast. We would love to schedule a family vacation there as there is much to do in the surrounding area.

This was our first visit to Lambertville and we loved the area. Everyone was so friendly and the staff at Chimney Hill Estates could not have been more accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and the home baked cookies and lemonade in the afternoon was a very nice treat. We would definitely recommend a visit to this bed & breakfast.

My overnight stay was delightful. The staff was there whenever I needed but never made us feel as if they were hovering. The building is beautifully appointed and the breakfast was enough to win a return visit. Eric was terrific! LOVE the alpacas.

The inn is situated in a lovely rural/farm setting. The public areas are small but beautiful. The room in which we stayed was charming and quaint but the room air conditioner was noisy and made for a bad night's sleep. That's the only reason I rated the rooms "ok but below average". The Inn is located away from the downtown area of Lambertville so you have to drive but I do not find that a negative. I would gladly trade the distance from town for the peace, quite and beauty of the countryside.

Enjoyed the stay and people we met. The only thing negative was that our room did not have a TV. This would have been a problem if we had a day where it rained and staying in the room all day would have not been good. This should be explained when booking the room, then I would have taken a portable dvd player along.

beautiful place and service beyond compare but a few technical difficulties - sauna didn't work and back door didn't lock. Because of problems with the well there was no water in the room our second morning there! Staff was very gracious and helpful but vey inconvenient! They promised a rebate but it did no t happen.

A very short ride downtown Lambertville, this inn is in a beautiful high location. The llamas are funny. Eric was most helpful on check-in and a great host at breakfast. Breakfasts were simply yummy. The dining room and guest lounge are welcoming and comfortable. The Barn Suite I room in which I stayed was clean but needed spiffing up. Shower plumbing needed to be attended to. The A/C unit blows directly on the bed. There is no light in the suite suitable for reading. It was a mixed experience - I would go again, but request a room in the inn itself.

My husband and I enjoyed are two day visit to CHE in Lambertville NJ. There was so much to do in the area but it was hard to leave our suite.....Barn Suite #1. We fed the llamas, ate beautiful breakfasts and were able to eat in our suite (brought some food along) but dined in Lambertville and saw a play at the beautifully renovated Bucks Co. Playhouse. We won't forget Terry (the owner) and the time that she spent with us and Eric and his fine staff.. We met so many nice folks and will keep in touch with them!

We loved chimney Hill and will return for sure. the decor was great and the entire experience was far above our expectations. The breakfast is great and dining room is beautiful. Anne and frank O'Brien

Beautiful Bucks County style manor house on a lush landscaped estate. Quiet and peaceful environment. Dining room is absolutely charming with a lovely tablescape and delicious and filling breakfasts. Spacious bedroom, lovely decor with the only downside being our private bathroom had to be accessed from the hall. (bit of an inconvenience in the middle of the night.) Staff extremely friendly . Would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Chimney Hill Estate Inn. The place is charming and the grounds are just lovely. The icing on the cake is feeding the alpacas. What beautiful and friendly animals! The Inn is very close to the center of Lambertsville so it is very conveniently located. There is so much to do and see in the area. The Inn staff was so courteous and helpful. They really want to make their guests comfortable.

It was a pleasant area, near lots of shops and eateries. A comfortable lviing room area in a comon area of the buildingn to share with other guests.

The only thing that was disappointing was we did not have a TV in our room but WiFi was available and so we brought dvds and a laptop and had a great time. I would recommend Chimney Hill to anyone.

We met long term NJ friends at Chimney Hill for a two day stay. We haven't been to Lambertville in more than 20 years. Chimney Hill was the perfect place to stay and get away from the traffic and shopping. Our room was beautiful, really beautiful and super clean. Our hosts couldn't do any more than they did to make our stay a wonderful experience. The venue and the people make me want to give our children a weekend at Chimney Hill. I give Chimney Hill a BIG thumbs UP.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and the loft bedroom location let us sleep undisturbed by the morning light. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff was extremely gracious. We enjoyed feeding the alpacas on the grounds. The inn's location was perfect. You had a country environment and a close drive to restaurants, shops, and antique markets.

It was amazing to open our barn suite door in the morning and see the alpacas. The location was great. Rooms were what I would expect in a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, especially the "heavenly bananas". The service and friendliness couldn't be beat; Eric was exceptional. Chimney Hill is definitely a place I would come back to.

We spent 2 wonderful nights in the Hunt Room at Chimney Hill. Everything was wonderful from the moment we walked through the front door. Terry couldn't have been more helpful or gracious. Our room was beautiful and spacious. We were absolutely blown away by the delicious breakfasts we were served and that the dining room was completely full with other guests each morning. The inn was so quiet we actually thought we were the only ones staying there the first night, until SURPRISE, all the other nice people we met at breakfast! The alpacas and llamas are cute, it was fun to feed them and if we are ever in the area again, which we hope to be, we will not look anywhere else for accomodations. Chimney Hill is it for us! Thank You Terry for providing such a beautiful and delicious place to stay!

This is a great choice for a quiet get-away. The surrounding area is rich with history and offers something for every taste on both sides of the Delaware river: be it a walk along the Delaware-Raritan canal, shopping the many boutiques or exploring the riches of the numerous antique shops and restaurants.

A charming inn, lovely rooms, beautiful property, just beautiful!

We truly enjoyed our mid-week stay at Chimney Hill. We stayed in the Main House, which has a lovely and comfortable living room and a nice den. We did not hang around the Inn that much but if we were there with friends I could see us hanging out in the den a bit, enjoying a bottle of wine. The property is very nice and well maintained, and you can visit/feed the alpacas with a short walk to the back of the property. They were a fun bonus. The Inn is in a remote setting but it is just a very short drive to downtown Lambertville and New Hope, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and people-watching to enjoy. Eric, the innkeeper while we were there, was very welcoming, friendly, helpful, and available. Our room (Tapestry) was very spacious and well appointed. The air conditioning is a wall unit, which worked just fine. The only downside was the shower, which is in the claw-foot tub. The shower-head was low, as was the ceiling, so this was a small challenge. Not a big deal for us, as we are average height and nimble, but could be a bit of an issue for very tall people or those who have trouble moving with ease. We had a great time and would definitely return. Note: We had a Groupon for our stay, so that is why I did not rate "value".

The staff is excellent and the food is outrageous.....only one con...no tv so pack your laptop!

Like many of the guests at this time of the year we used a voucher to stay two nights in the Barn Suite #3. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet with quaint decorative accents. Eric was very pleasant and sociable at check-in as well in the mornings for terrific breakfasts. The grounds were well kept and the llama and alpacas were fun to watch and feed. Minor issues with the room including the bathroom faucet almost coming off its base, shower doors out of track, and light out in shower. Those issues should have been noticed by the cleaning person and fixed before the next client. What was lacking was the presence of a full time innkeeper. What a wonderful weekend my husband and I had here. Get a barn suite room if you want privacy. It located outside of the main house and is very quiet. Lots of room and a 2 person jacuzzi and fireplace in your room!

Breakfast was good and we had a nice room. The inn is very quiet and still close to town. The water was off one night and we could not shower. That was our only problem, the rest of our stay was great.

Received a groupon for this 2 night stay. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how welcoming and comfortable this estate was. Although the bathrooms in the mainhouse were not in the same room, we were on the 2nd floor, so it was not an issue but privacy was definalteyt lacking for the couple on the first floor who had to go into the hall to shower, use the bathroom.... The alpacas are beautiful, friendly but have a tendency to sneeze all over you! Bring a good book as there is no TV anywhere on the property.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Chimney Hill Estate Inn. Our innkeeper Eric couldn't have been any more nicer and helpful. Our room, Library Room, was beautifully appointed and comfortable. We would definitely like to come back in the cooler weather to take advantage of the fireplace in the room.

My wife and I found Chimney Hill on a Groupon and took a chance. We were delighted. The service was attentive, especially accomdating my dietary needs (diabetes); the local information they provided was very helpful and we could not have been more pleased.

The Inn is lovely. Do be careful when booking your room as there may be steps both leading up to the room and then again to get to the sleeping loft. Breakfast is a short walk from the Barn rooms but is on gravel and may be a problem for those with mobility issues. The Inn and the grounds are beautiful and would be perfect for a winter getaway.

We recently returned from a two day Groupon stay -- great value! Our hostess, Terry, was very genial and accommodating; we took far too much advantage of the afternoon cookies and lemonade, and feeding the alpacas was a totally delightful experience! We stayed in the Library room on the first floor which was spacious and charming. Our favorite spot was the sunken living room -- stone walls and leather couches -- where we spent a lot of time just reading and relaxing. The other guests were very pleasant and chatty, but not overly so. Enjoyed the towns of New Hope and Lambbertville; sufficiently quirky to hold our attention. The food at Anton's was definitely gourmet and delicious. We will return! Jan and Bob

We enjoyed barn suite 4 and found it quiet, relaxing with jacuzzi and other amenities. While clean, detailed dusting is needed. The bed was comfortable but seemed more full than queen. Eric, the office host and on-site manager was polite, informative and receptive. Both breakfasts on sat and sun were delicious. Being our first visit to the Lambertville/New Hope area, we loved the proximity to our inn. The Groupon deal is the reason we chose this inn and it was a best value. The Anton's at the Swan voucher was well paired and a chef quality dining experience. Two improvements I ask the owner to consider are tv upgrades to small flat screens and cable service at HD level and the second is an ice machine bigger than the breadbox one in the dining room. Thank you, Terry, for your smart business sense to use Groupon and we definitely will return.

We enjoyed our stay here and found the inn's manager Eric to be very nice and welcoming. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The only drawback was that the bathroom was in the hall and not ensuite; it was private but you still had to enter a public hallway to go in/out of bathroom and lock/unlock the door each visit. We would have preferred more privacy.

I went with my fiancee and we had a wonderful stay. They let us do a late check-in and were very accommodating. We stayed in the Hunt room and it was huge - maybe a little larger than we needed, but it was great. The bed is very comfy and we slept like babies. We woke up in the morning and went downstairs for a full breakfast and coffee. The whole experience was very pleasant - everyone was super nice and the guests were all in great moods. We then went outside and visited the llamas and alpacas! Those critters are awesome. They too were in good moods and greeted us warmly. All in all we want ot go back and stay a whole weekend. I highly recommend. New Hope is super close and there are tons of restaurants and shopping places nearby.

The Chimney Hill Estate was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend getaway. Eric was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable; and makes a great breakfast to boot! A truly beautiful and unique property. very close to town of Lambertsville but very private setting. We stayed in the "Treetop" room which was delightful and very private. the steps up to this room are not suited for the physically challenged. The full Breakfast was very good. Service was wonderful-If you have special diet staff graciously offered to prepare it " your way ." An added bonus.. This property is a certified animal habitat. There are alpaca and Llamas who are happy to be hand fed treats provided by Inn.

We have only stayed at one b&b in the past and needed a get away. We loved this place and would return again. The staff and guests were very friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed, just what we needed. The breakfast area was very nice with delicious food. The only concern we had is that the air conditioner didnt seem to cool very effectively in the room we were in. Some minor paint repairs needed in our room. Otherwise lovely property and stay!

Beautiful grounds, very nice rooms, incredible service. Slightly disappointed with the amenitities, such as fireplace not working, internet not working, TV not working.

Chimney Hill is very nice; the room was large and comfortable; everything was clean; breakfast was very good. We were greeted at the door when we arrived. Would have liked to have chairs outside so we could have relaxed in the outdoors in the evening. All in all it was very enjoyable.

Chimney Hill is a quaint place that must take a lot of work to maintain. We had a nice time, and I am glad that we paid the Groupon rate. We worried beforehand because other than the automated email, there was no reply to our phone calls or emails for the month between picking the dates and checking in. Eric, who served as host was very pleasant. The bed in Vincent's Hideaway is comfy, and the adjoining bathroom is a private bath, but evidently putting the "do not disturb" sign on the door means nothing to the staff. If you get the Groupon package, be aware that there is no winery tour on weekdays, only an informal tasting. The restaurant voucher at Anton's is a good value, however. Our meals there were quite nice. Overall, we spent a happy two days at Chimney Hill, and the alpacas were a plus.

We enjoyed the $50 certificate to Anton's, a really nice night, Loved the area, had been there before, but never used the towpath. Rode bikes to next town and had a lovely lunch on the riverfront. Absolutely loved the alpacas and saw deer and fox from our deck. Just a perfect location, lovely decor, and great breakfast. The only drawback...air conditioner a bit loud. Definitely will come back and recommend to others.

Chimney Hill Estate Inn in Lambertville, NY is happily adjacent to New Hope, PA. It is an aestheticly pleasing location, peaceful and quiet. No television, thank the heavens! We stayed at the "Garden Room" with our own bathroom. The staff is very friendly and understands customer satisfaction. Interestingly, the owners raise llamas and you are allowed to feed them. We received a bottle of wine and a dinner coupon to an outstanding restaurant just down the hill called "Anton on the Swan". Since Lambertville is next door to neighboring New Hop, PA, we had lots of shops to visit. There were quite a few restaurants, too! One that we really enjoyed was "Marsha Brown", which at one time was a church. The beautiful stain glass windows are still there. Service, just like Anton's was exceptional. Both restaurants had an intriquing past. Richard and Terry Anderson definitely have the right person in charge at the Inn: Eric. He holds many jobs including host and breakfast announcer. The first morning, we were served a bannana in orange cream and french toast. The second morning, we were served fresh fruit and an ommlet. Although I am definitely used to bigger portions, breakfasts were enjoyable. Every Friday in New Hope, one can enjoy fireworks in the Delaware River just below the Inn. All in all, I would rate our stay as enjoyable and interesting. The shops nearby were definitely too expensive for the middle-class like us. Well worth the trip...

Recently, my boyfriend and I stayed at the Chimney Hill Estate Inn. We purchased a Groupon which provided a wonderful experience at a great value. We appreciated the beautiful grounds, the quiet setting, gracious hospitality, and the tastefully decorated rooms. The breakfast in the morning was a real treat. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Since we've returned home, we've been telling our friends that Chimney Hill is a great place to go to relax, recharge, and enjoy.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating especially when the water was shut off because the septic system was disrupted. The breakfast was delicious. The location was great. Very close to both Lambertville and New Hope.

We had terrific time. We took our bikes along and had a great ride on the nearby towpath, a very user friendly shady path along the river. We rode to Frenchtown for a most delightful lunch at Lovin Oven, right off the path. Walking around town in the evening is pleasant and you can easily walk to New Hope which is across the walking bridge from Lamberton a nice town also filled with lovely shops and eating places. What a lovely and relaxing time. The rural setting, quiet atmosphere, and private feel of our suite made our one-night stay feel like an extended vacation. Since we were on a tight budget we chose the buttercup room, which turned out to be a spacious and lovely suite with a private patio, fireplace, and conference table, which was strange at first, but was much more luxurious than we were expecting for such a reasonable price. Service was friendly and accommodating. I honestly chose this inn over the others for the alpacas, which were a lot of fun to watch, but everything about it was just right for us. We hope to go back sometime.

We stayed here a weekend and it was amazing. We loved the alpacas so much! They are so funny! Where else can you get up in the morning and just walk out and feed alpacas? Way too much fun. The place is gorgeous and so are the grounds. We loved sitting on the bench swing that overlooks the garden and just chatting. We stayed in the Library room. It's one of the rooms that doesn't have an in-room bathroom. But that section of the hallway is very private. Totally worth it for the room - it has 6 windows and the walls are yellow. It's so warm and full of light all day! We loved flipping through the library books too. All the staff members we interacted with were super super polite and helpful. It was very nice. Breakfast was great both mornings! The only reason I take away a star for "dining" is that although our room had a little bottle of wine when we arrive (awesome!!), we were not given water. The water from the bathroom tap looked cloudy. Now...I'm sure if we had given Eric a call, he would've been at our door in a minute with like 8 gallons of water. Cuz he seems like that kinda guy. But we didn't want to bother anyone. The "Innfo" book in our room told us how to get to a Wawa, so we went there. I'm used to B&Bs giving us water bottles. There were free cookies in the pantry though. We loved snacking on those. Everything was super clean. The bathroom was very nice. Good shower. It doesn't have AC which was a little uncomfortable, but no big deal. The bed was very comfy. We appreciated the WiFi when we needed it, but we enjoyed being away from it all. Our cell phones didn't get great reception and there's no TV. It was so nice to be away from all the distractions. All I had on my agenda was to sit and watch the trees sway in the wind. We had a great time.

My fiancée and I got an amazing Groupon deal to stay here, and enjoy some of the local attractions along with it (a voucher to Anton's, one of the best meals we had ever had; a wine tasting at Unionville Vineyards). This was the most enjoyable stay we could have hoped for. Everything about it was perfect. The house, the ambience, and it all started when Eric met us with a big smile and a warm welcome. We felt so comfortable and like we belonged there, while also having our privacy respected. It was perfect. Breakfast was incredibly well-put together and we looked forward to it. We also made friends...with the Alpacas, it was so nice and calming to go out back and feed them and hang out with them and the two mama llamas. I have no complaints, other than I wish I could have stayed longer.

Feeding the Alpaca's was a highlight - they are fun animals! The only thing we didn't like is that the TV didn't come with a DVD player, though that is stated on their website, we just missed it. No big deal though, our stay was wonderful!!

The Chimney Hill Estate Inn is a charming country getaway with easy access to the New Hope and Lambertville shopping areas. The wildlife rating and the animals on the property only add to the charm. We had a wonderful stay at Chimney Hill! The room was spacious and beautiful. It was very quiet and relaxing. We thought we were the only people staying there! The breakfast was also delicious. Terry was a great host and gave us helpful information about the area. The alpacas were adorable and made our vacation!

If you want to get away from it all, NO TV, NO Bar, NO Telephone, then this is the place, and Eric is a fabulous host.

We totally enjoyed our stay. Service was fantastic. Food was awesome. We highly recommend and will be going back again.

The main house and the room was very clean. The alpaca's are adorable. The chef is very friendly. The only thing I would have changed was more lighting in my room. We stayed in Barn Room #1. Other than that, I would definately recommend it.

The place is outstanding, stayed in the Barn suite which is worth the upgrade. Staff was very attentive. Made reservations at the last minute, but the staff and facility exceeded expectations. rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet.

We had a lovely time at this beautiful property. Our guest room was very comfortable and the country breakfasts provided were delicious! The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The common sitting room in the main house with its comfy sofas was our favorite spot and we were sorry to leave-we will definitely come back in the fall!

Booked through a living social deal the bed and breakfast was fantastic. The alpacas added just the extra touch to the stay. The breakfast hand crafted for us have even though we arrived 10 minutes to ending breakfast hours. The staff was informative and helpful in making dinner reservations and escorting us to our outstanding accommodations. The shower in barn suite 4 was to die for! Anyone looking for a quick getaway this place is highly recommended.

A gift from our children and grandchildren proved to be an amazing 2 day mini vacation at Chimney Hill Estate Inn. The relaxing atmosphere, beautiful barn suite, wonderful hosts and of course the Alpacas all made it a time to remember. My husband was so impressed he has booked another stay for our wedding anniversary.

Delightful B&B; definately recommend booking a Barn Suite. Feeding the alpacas, touring the local wineries, shopping the antique/vintage clothing stores and relaxing on this beautiful estate all make for a lovely respite.

We really enjoyed our two night stay ay Chimney Hill. The main building has a natural, historic charm to it, and is appointed and maintained impeccably. The Barn Suite was equally impressive, comfortable, and private. Eric is a wonderful host, and a very talented chef. His breakfasts were beautifully prepared, very tasty, and served with a smile. The fact that he is self-taught is even more impressive. Be sure and spend some time feeding the resident Alpacas - they are as cute and adorable as can be, with their buck-toothed grins and huge, bulging brown Marty Feldman eyes. Just be careful - we laughed ourselves silly when one of them sneezed and got gobs of Alpaca goo on my arm! A&S

We took advantage of a Groupon to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary (albeit almost 6 months late). It was a fabulous time. Eric, the chef & maitre d' & butler & Man Friday, was wonderfully attentive and thoughtful -- best part was when he noticed we were spending the afternoon in the Stone Room and he built a fire there for us to enjoy. Lambertville & New Hope were a lot of fun to wander, the tow path made for a nice & easy walk. It's amazing how loudly those alpacas complain when they're being sheared, but even that was entertaining. A great place to visit, we highly recommend it, and hope that we can go back again. For those heading northeast to go home, definitely stop at the Unionville Winery for a taste test.

We were so impressed by the beautiful room and outstanding service. The breakfast was out of this world. We also loved the alpacas. They were clean and very good natured. We can't wait to come back.

Only our second B&B experience. Nice facility overall. Some rooms do not have TV and none in public areas. Not a problem for us. Bedroom in our suite had very poor lighting. No one on premises after all guests are checked in for the day to help with something or to answer questions. However staff were very helpful when they were there. I would recommend with some reservation, but overall a nice experience.

A change in our travel plans shortened our stay at CHEI, so we didn't even get an opportunity to meet our hosts nor eat breakfast there. However, Richard & Terry were very accomodating and made it easy for us to get settled on our own and enjoy the quiet of the farm. The setting is beautiful, and the easy access to the shops and restaurants of Lambertville are wonderful. We were unable to access the internet there, which is nice for a vacation spot, but posed some problems for us.

We had a great weekend at Chimney Hill. We stayed for two nights with a Groupon deal. The people that work there are friendly and very helpful. The room we stayed in was pretty small (Buttercup), but we really only slept there as we were constantly doing activities in town so that was no big deal. The alpaca farm added a nice rustic touch to everything. Great place, would love to stay there again!

The king bed was great for sleeping. Eric, the host, was so helpful and knowledgeable, always there for the guests. The breakfasts were the best ever and we've stayed at quite a few BNB's. Cookies and beverages in the afternoon; coffee, tea, ice, etc., always available in the pantry (and coffee & tea in the room). No TV in the main house but access to WiFi which we used for music and TV. There isn't one complaint no matter how hard I think about it. Can't wait to go back.

My fiance and I had a lovely stay in one of the Barn Suites. The room was absolutely beautiful, very large, with every amenity you can imagine. The grounds are lovely, and the alpacas are quite friendly and fun. We could have stood there feeding them all day - but then we would have missed out on exploring Lambertville and New Hope. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Lovely setting, great breakfast, good service but our room needed a little uplift.

Great charm rooms we had in main house were nice but would stay in Barn suites on next stay those rooms look great. We had one minor complaint for one of the rooms and staff took care of this quickly although they seemed insulted and resistant at first.Other then that we were treated very well.

Wished there were nice soft furniture infront of the fireplace, instead of a conference room table in our suite.

The Buttercup room is LOCATED NEARBY the conference room- but the conference room IS REALLY NOT PART OF THE Buttercup room - Buttercup is a separate room - and the fireplace is not part of Buttercup, it is part of the conference room. I hope this explains why there is a conference table there :-)

My husband and I booked a night at Chimney Hill Inn as a little anniversary trip, since we enjoy the towns of Lambertville and New Hope as well. There were many amenities included in the coupon and the room was significantly discounted, which was pretty much why we could afford it. The room was fantastic, we had the two-story with the jacuzzi and fireplace. The fireplace was very nice, it made the room quite warm so we couldn't keep it on for very long. The shower was crazy! We had a lot of fun with it. The alpacas are very cute but they won't let you pet them. Breakfast was really nice, the whole thing was just perfect.

Our Alpacas are not pet-able animals- they are actually herd animals and not domestic in any way. But they really enjoy meeting our guests and snacking from their hands. :-)

Enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable inn...our groupon included a wine tasting, a stipend for dinner, feed for the alpacas, and a gift shop credit...was our first time will have to give it another try....

Enjoyed a one night stay at ChimneyHill. We were scheduled for late arrival and all instructions, etc. were ready and waiting. Dining at the nearby restaurant Antons was a wonderful suggestion. Had a lovely breakfast followed by feeding the Alpacas! An added extra. Will definitely visit Chimney Hill again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely inn. This included a bottle of wine, a $50 gift certificate to Anton's athe Swan hotel in Lambertville (fabulous!), a wine tasting at a local winery and a gift from the alpaca gift shop on the premises. I do feel other inns offer a better selection for an afternnon tea but the breakfast was superb. Our room in the main house, the Library Room, was authenticand romantic but the bathroom was a bit small with a very tiny mirror. There is no tv which was fine with us but if you prefer one, don't book this room. The inn is located on a wonderful country road which is just a few minutes from the eclectic town of Lambertville. We also explored New Hope, Peddlers Village and Frenchtown- all nearby. Overall, we had a memorable two days and I hope to return.

I recently took my wife to Chimney Hill for a surprise 30th birthday getaway for her. We got the smaller "Vincent's Hideway" room which is basically the attic that was converted into a room. It was a little small and had some head bumping area for me (i'm 6' 1"), but it was very clean and nicely laid out. Breakfast was great every morning. Coffee was hot and consistent every morning. The property was gorgeous and the Alpacas were a nice addition. . . very 'country' feel to the property. New Hope and Lambertville has endless shops and great lunch/dinner dining areas. All in all it was a wonderful trip and the staff was top notch.

Stayed here for a night using a LivingSocial coupon. Excellent Service- Showed us everything we could do in the area on a map, fed us a great breakfast. Overall a very quiet place. Normally, their rates are quite expensive. However, the service and accommodations did seem to match the price (though, we did get a discount with a LivingSocial deal).

First time at a bed and breakfast. It was a great experience. Enjoyed everything about it.

This was the first time we stayed at a B&B. Overall, it was OUTSTANDING! Realizing B&B's are what they are, Chimney Hill was a nice, relaxing venue for a weekend getaway. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was off the tourist route and therefore quiet and peaceful, but only minutes away from Lambertville/New Hope, and 10 minutes to Peddlers Village.

Alpacas are adorable- lots to do in the area- Tree top room is really quiet &l private!

My husband and I used a Groupon to stay one night on my birthday. The Inn is a lovely spot, our room was delightful, and it's nicely located for one to be able to do many activities, from browsing the shops in Lambertville and New Hope, going to the vineyard, strolling among the wildflowers in Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve, or seeing history at Washington's Crossing parks on both sides of the river. The alpacas are sweet and it's fun to feed them. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

We have stayed at Chimney Hill over a span of 20+ yrs. The accomodations, as ever, were clean, well maintained and comfortable; our rooom (the treetop) was spacious. The staff were welcoming and helpful. More than ever, present management seemed truly desirous of facilitating a good experience for us. Out in the woods, yet within walking distance from shops & restaurants, ChimneyHill is impressive upon arrival. The common rooms were warm & cozy; the breakfast was ample & tasty; the alpacas & llamas were cute and kept my husband occupied. All in all, this Living Social gift coupon was a good value, including a $50 gift certificate to French-style restaurant in a hotel, and 2free wine tastings at a nearby winery. However, I was a bit disappointed that we did not have an ensuite bathroom, nor did most others in our building. Although private, our bathroom was located out in the hallway, which made a midnight bathroom run rather awkward. The staff and owners were efficient and made our stay very pleasant. The most beautiful part was the surrounding area with its green rolling hills.

The property that this Inn sits on is beautiful. The gardens are lovely and the main house is a true gem. Eric the innkeeper made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. The wine and cheese in the evening was wonderful. It offered us the opportunity to relax at the end of the day in their beautiful stoned fireplace room. The alpacas are fun to feed and add to that relaxed environment. Breakfast was delicious! Our room was very pretty but some of the furniture should probably be replaced as it was quite worn out. One window sash was broken so we couldn't open it for fresh air. Overall this Inn offered us the opportunity to relax in a beautiful setting. Eric made sure that we felt comfortable and that we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Thank you for a great weekend!

Had a great time. The room was gorgeous. Unable to eat breakfast one morning because we showed up at 9:45am. They should offer breakfast in an hour window (say 9am to 10am).

Although we do have a breakfast hour, We are usually available to offer a late breakfast to anyone who comes in after breakfast hour.

We stayed in March for a romantic weekend getaway. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the fireplace very much, loved the access to the main house at any hour (great cookies), breakfast was warm and inviting (baked apples and pancakes), and the kicker was the Alpaca farm on the premise. We must have spent hours outside with them! They are so close to the heart of Lambertville/New Hope that a stay there will not be disappointing. Trust me - the people who run Chimney Hill will make sure all your needs are fulfilled.
