If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is, but not at Jersey City’s Guest House which is Only one mile to Manhattan. Rooms start at only $36.00 with shared bathroom or $50.00 with private bathroom. EVERY ROOM INCLUDES A COMPUTER AND PRINTER WITH HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS, Wi-Fi, Air conditioning, Alarm clock, Amenities Basket filled daily with fresh fruit, Bath robes, CD player, Ceiling fans, Coffee/Tea facilities, DVD Player, Desk, Fax Machine, Fridge w/ beverages restocked daily, Microwave, Coffee Maker, etc.
With prices & quality like ours, why would anyone stay anywhere else?
Here is our availability for the next 4 months as of Monday, May 12, 2008, at 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. We will update this on a very regular basis!
In May our first availability is May 14 & it is in our Two bed room. We also have our Suite available on May 19 & 20. Finally, our Two bed room is again available on May 26 & May 27. The other 26 days in May all 3 of our rooms are already reserved. In May the King size room with the Private Bathroom has already been reserved for all 31 days.
In June we still have availability on June 10, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 28, 29, & 30. The other 21 days in June all 3 of our rooms are already reserved.
In July we have availability July 1, 2, and 3 & also July 20. We also have availability on July 24, 25, 26, and 27 & finally on July 31. The other 22 days in July all 3 of our rooms are reserved.
In August we currently have at least one room available almost every night, so 1 or 2 weeks or even longer are possible for the whole month of August.
From Aug. through Dec. we have a lot more availability than June or July, but the busier weeks are booking up quickly, especially around the holidays. Thank you all for your very positive responses to Jersey City's Bed and Breakfast & we hope to meet you real soon.

When entering New Jersey stay straight for about 3/4 of a mile and look for either 139 W or signs that say US 9/US 1)---DO NOT GET ON THE TURNPIKE---Stay to left of it!
Take the next exit which is basically the middle exit toward Kennedy Blvd/Jersey City.
You will be Merging onto RT-139 West (also called Hoboken Ave)
Turn left at Baldwin Ave.(This is the 2nd traffic light after the exit;Palisade Ave. is the 1st
Go exactly 8 traffic lights and turn left onto Montgomery Street.
Go 1 block and turn left onto Mill Road.
Go one block and make a left onto Mercer Street. We are at 442 Mercer Street.
We are the first house on the right. There's a big white gate in front of the house.

- Smoking is allowed in limited areas (We have a backyard and two balconies where you can smoke,)
- Guest pets are welcome (Pet must stay in backyard or in 1st floor bdrm at all times!)
- Children are welcome (We have two 5 year old boys so all children are welcome.)
- Childcare is provided (We will get you a reliable babysitter for $10 per hour.)
- Deposit amount required (Deposit amount required (100% of the room charge will be charged to your credit card within 24 hours after your reservation. If you pay cash on departure, a credit will be given.))
- Check in time is 3:00 PM and Check out time is NOON

Cancellations:
If you cancel 30 days before your arrival date then an 80% refund will be given. We have the cheapest prices in the NYC area so we have to be somewhat strict about our cancellation policies. Within 24 hours after you book your room we will charge your credit card 100% of your visit and most likely no refunds will be given unless you cancel at least 30 days before your stay. As I already stated, if you cancel 30 days before your arrival date then an 80% refund will be given. However, no refunds will be given at all if you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date unless we book someone else in your room for that night; then a full refund will be given to you within 48 hours after we book another guest in the room you had already paid for.
Please remember that a 20% administrative fee will be charged to all cancellations that are cacelled 24 hours or more after your credit card has been charged for the days of your stay with us.
If you reserve your room more than 90 days in advance, you may request us to not charge you the full amount immediately. If you request this at the time of your reservation we will charge your credit card only 20% of the total cost of your stay instead of the entire bill. If you cancel your reservation within 30 days of your arrival date, only a 20% administrative fee will be charged to your credit card. In other words, you will get an 80% refund. However, 30 days before your arrival date the entire cost of your stay will be charged to your room (the 80% balance) and then all policies above will apply.
