Inside the modest exterior lies a gem of a restored inn with spacious airy rooms, exceptional period furnishings and some of Cape May's finest stained glass. Association of Historic Inns calls us "The loveliest and most authentically decorated of all the houses we visited." This gracious Edwardian seaside inn has a tradition of hospitality and comfort. Its unbeatable location, in the prime historic district, is 1/2 block to beaches and shopping areas and close to many restaurants and tour sites. Enjoying winter time coziness by the fire or summer sun and shade porches, you can recapture the romance and gentleness of a bygone era.

This was my first ever stay in a Bed and Breakfast and the Windward House was perfect. Sandy and her staff were exceptional and the entire visit was great. I recommend the Windward House to anyone visiting Cape May.

My husband and I enjoyed a two night stay in the Rococo room, we had a wonderful time, the location is excellent, walking distance to everything. The Windward is definitely a great place to stay, I know we will be booking another stay in the near future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here, and managed to find in a one night only option (being college students). The proximity to the beach is amazing and Sandy is extremely gracious and helpful. The decor was beautiful and enjoyed being greeted by a spacious and well maintained room. Would definitely recommend this place!

We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor and it was super. There really is a full kitchen, plus living room. Ample space. In the bathroom the shower/tub is one step up from the sink area, at an angle, so you have to be very careful getting in and out of the shower.

Beautiful home - Outstanding hosts - Delicious breakfasts - Every detail was thought of, from tea and homemade cookies daily, complimentary beach badges, beach chairs and towels ~ to easy parking. Sandy was so very accommodating and the house was clean, perfectly decorated and warm with the absolute best front porch ever. When I return to Cape May, we will definitely be staying at Windward House

We recently spent 8 days with Sandy at the Windward House, and we had a wonderful time. Breakfast was incredible, and everyone was so nice! The location is perfect, a half block from the beach, and a half block from Washington Mall. We look forward to a return visit.

We have visited Cape May almost every summer, & pre & post season, sometimes 3 or more times a year since 1977. We have stayed in various guest houses, hotels, & motels. Sine we found WINDWARD HOUSE in 2005, we have ONLY stayed there. Sandy is best host ever (not just in Cape May; breakfast are works of art with great taste & variety & abundance. I could stay on the porch the whole vacation. Will we go back? Yes; as often as we can. Take a tour & cat with SANDY MILLER; see what you think.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Windward house in the Renaissance room for three nights. The occasion for the getaway weekend was for the Escape the Cape triathlon. Sandy was an excellent host and truly welcoming to all who stayed. The hot breakfast was delicious and always included coffee and fresh fruit. I will definitely keep this house in mind for any future trips to Cape May, NJ.

We loved staying here, as it was less than a block one way to the beach and less than a block the other way to the commons! The only downside was no onsite parking, which was a little hassle coming and leaving. They do provide a parking pass for your entire stay in a public lot, it's just not right by the house. Breakfast was also delightful.
Beautiful stained glass doors reveal an exquisite Renaissance bed set.
