Inside the modest exterior lies a gem of a restored inn with spacious airy rooms, exceptional period furnishings and some of Cape May's finest stained glass. Association of Historic Inns calls us "The loveliest and most authentically decorated of all the houses we visited." This gracious Edwardian seaside inn has a tradition of hospitality and comfort. Its unbeatable location, in the prime historic district, is 1/2 block to beaches and shopping areas and close to many restaurants and tour sites. Enjoying winter time coziness by the fire or summer sun and shade porches, you can recapture the romance and gentleness of a bygone era.

We have been going to Cape May for an end of summer get-away for over ten years and we always stay at the Windward House. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfasts always great, and the owner makes us feel like one of the family.

Windward house is in the center of town we parked our car when we arrived and walked everywhere for our entire stay. Breakfast was outstanding, every day home made and different. Rooms very very nice well kept and very clean. Beach tags and chairs were included. Sandy the owner is a great hostess who attends to your every need. This was our third time and we will go back again.

We enjoyed a great stay 7/31-8/5. Wish we could have stayed longer. Sandy and her team were very inviting and accommodating. The house was beautiful and our room was very nice. We will definitely return next summer.

My college roommate and her husband from Long Island met us in Cape May for a long-weekend getaway, and the value and location of our accommodations were key factors in our enjoyment of this mini vacation. It was an easy walk to the beach and to local restaurants and shops, and prices were lower than or equal to comparable bed and breakfasts. Beach chairs, towels, and tags granting beach access were included in the price. We stayed in the two third-floor rooms and had our own little balcony that we put to good use in the evenings after dinner. Everyone was friendly, breakfasts were hearty and good, and each room had a window air conditioner to keep the temperature reasonably comfortable. I would recommend Windward House to anyone looking for accommodations for a Cape May getaway.
