Inside the modest exterior lies a gem of a restored inn with spacious airy rooms, exceptional period furnishings and some of Cape May's finest stained glass. Association of Historic Inns calls us "The loveliest and most authentically decorated of all the houses we visited." This gracious Edwardian seaside inn has a tradition of hospitality and comfort. Its unbeatable location, in the prime historic district, is 1/2 block to beaches and shopping areas and close to many restaurants and tour sites. Enjoying winter time coziness by the fire or summer sun and shade porches, you can recapture the romance and gentleness of a bygone era.

We have visited Cape May almost every summer, & pre & post season, sometimes 3 or more times a year since 1977. We have stayed in various guest houses, hotels, & motels. Sine we found WINDWARD HOUSE in 2005, we have ONLY stayed there. Sandy is best host ever (not just in Cape May; breakfast are works of art with great taste & variety & abundance. I could stay on the porch the whole vacation. Will we go back? Yes; as often as we can. Take a tour & cat with SANDY MILLER; see what you think.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Windward house in the Renaissance room for three nights. The occasion for the getaway weekend was for the Escape the Cape triathlon. Sandy was an excellent host and truly welcoming to all who stayed. The hot breakfast was delicious and always included coffee and fresh fruit. I will definitely keep this house in mind for any future trips to Cape May, NJ.

We loved staying here, as it was less than a block one way to the beach and less than a block the other way to the commons! The only downside was no onsite parking, which was a little hassle coming and leaving. They do provide a parking pass for your entire stay in a public lot, it's just not right by the house. Breakfast was also delightful.

Stayed in the Renaissance Room which was very cozy and comfortable. Sandy was a wonderful hostess with a wealth of information and made us feel at home. Her B & B was elegant with a lot of charm. Her breakfasts were simple but yet tasty and filling. What we liked the most was the ability to have access to the main rooms to sit and relax. The home is within walking distance of ocean and shops. We definitely recommend the Windward House for your stay in Cape May.

The owner and her staff were outstanding. A beautiful, well kept and charming 1905 home. If you are looking for a 5 Star with all the bells & whistles, this is not the place but if you want to go back in time and enjoy yourself with old school charm this is the spot. Only a block from the Washington Mall with so much to offer. It was the first time my wife and & I visited Cape May and we are planning on doing it again here!

We had never been to Cape May NJ but really enjoyed visiting and staying at the Winward B&B. Our suite was very large and comfortable. The AC window unit was a bit loud but kept us cool. The daily breakfast was delicious and the front porch was great for morning coffee and a few drinks at night. The owner was very nice and helpful,

This is the third time that we stayed at this Bed and Breakfast and we will be back next year for our fourth. Sandy is a very gracious host and Nancy's meals are wonderful! The location can't be beat right between the beach and the shopping and restaurants. If you haven't stayed here you should give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

The owner and staff were very considerate and helpful. My husband and I truly enjoyed the quaint inn with a very comfy porch to relax and mingle with other guests. On our last day, we were encouraged to hang around even after we checked out of our room. We were able to remain in the off site parking lot and store our things in the parlor. The furnishings were beautiful and room was very clean and comfortable. We even had our own porch! We are definitely planning to return as soon as we are able!
