    Disappointing!

    June 04, 2010

My husband & I went for a short getaway to Cape May and stayed 2 nights at Primrose in Memorial Day weekend 2010. The property itself is cute and in a nice location. Unfortunately, the Inn-Keeper, Cat Cronin is awful. We arrived at the Inn around 2:30, she was on the phone and greeted us for 2mins and let her boy take us to the room. She did not gave us a tour of the place nor asked us if we needed anything. We never got any afternoon snacks. Whenever we bumped into her, she was too overwhelmed with her problems and issues. The bikes were dirty and rusty and the room was dusty. Only the bathroom was fairly clean. As an Inn Keeper Cat is unfit.

I just stayed at the Primrose and would not return. The inn keepers are very nice however the room was a disgrace. There was about an inch of dust on the ceiling fan, I was not sure of the sheets had been changed since the last customer and the room had a moldy smell. I dropped something under the bed couldn't believe the amount of dirt under the bed. The breakfast the first night was OK, muffins and a peach cobbler, the second morning was far from edible, an egg caserole with string beans?? and undercooked sliced potatoes from a can sprinkled with bread crumbs or cheese?? The grounds are overgrown and not taken care of, outdoor shower is filthy, We will not be returning. This is the 7th B & B that I have stayed at and have never had anything negative to say before.

My wife and I were very pleased with out stay at the Primrose Inn last June, 2007. The owners were courteous without being overbearing like some B & B owners. Our breakfasts were to die for! Free off-street parking and bikes were an added bonus. We recommend this B & B looking for a quiet getaway in Cape May.
