Comfortable elegance in a classic Second Empire inn, the only Cape May B&B originally built as a guest house. We offer eight uncluttered guest rooms and two suites, each with period furnishings, private bath, flat-screen TV and air conditioning ... a few with ocean views & two with private porch. The Mooring is in Cape May's historic district, one building back from the beach and an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of this small town. Complimentary on-site parking available for all premium rooms and suites. Free street parking available for the two standard rooms.

The hospitality and breakfast at the Mooring were great. I would not, however, stay on the 1st floor again since it was right off the porch and we could not keep our doors/windows open to get the nice breeze. So it was a little warm in the room and we had to use the a/c.

The Mooring B&B was terrific in all aspects. Our room was quite beautiful, quiet and extremely well decorated. The Mooring's location in Cape May is well within walking distance to all features of this quaint community.

The Mooring's colors are true to the Victorian era homes - not as bright as some of the other homes in the area; it is a truly gorgeous home. Vince makes the stay; he is warm, welcoming and readily willing to offer suggestions for dinner plans. We stayed in room 1 and it was very nice; the two 'windows' which look like doors have screens which allow the air to come in; and you can overlook the front of the porch. Leslie is a fantastic chef; her breakfasts were abundant, creative and EXCELLENT. I highly recommend a stay at The Mooring; you won't be sorry.

This is a very charming B&B that is well maintained and managed by gracious hosts who are clearly dedicated to providing a first-rate experience for their guests.

The Mooring is very close to the beach and walking distance to shopping. The owner, Vince, is very friendly and helpful. Having been other B&B's I was expecting a lavish breakfast and afternoon tea. Breakfast included toast, yogurt, either a sweet choice - waffles or french toast, a savory choice - some kind of scrambled eggs, and breakfast meat. Afternoon tea was a pitcher of iced tea and store bought cake or cookies. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't special. The house is nicely decorated and the rooms are nice.
