We always have a great time in Cape May and after discovering this great BnB we will only stay here when visiting. The owners are the inn keepers and go out of their way to make sure all your needs are take care of. They are also very knowledgeable about the town and what to see and do. DO NOT miss the breakfast as it is absolutely wonderful, something new and delicious each day.

What makes this B $ B special are the In keepers, Leslie and Vince. They compliment each other and the inn with their culinary skills, knowledge of Cape May, and hospitality. Stay at The Mooring...you won't be disappointed! Nancy and Donald Scatton.

We have been coming here for years, this time we were able to come twice. Leslie and Vince are more than hospitable. Stayed in room 2 for the first time and found it elegant yet comfortable and homey. Can't wait to return. Love this Inn and the people that run it.

OK, I don't like doing reviews for places where I have stayed that were really wonderful. (Yeah, I fear that a lot of others will want to go to them and I won't be able to find a room when I want to go.) So, saying this is one great B&B in Cape May! When you walk in you really get a sense of the Victorian in the entry and salons. The rooms are also outfitted nicely in that style. Now, there may be other B&Bs that are more "faithful" to the Victorian style as far as all their appointments are concerned. But, I'm not one to hang on the historical accuracy of the place where I lay my head. Hey, I'll take a modern style bathroom and shower with some Victorian accents over an old ball and claw tub with shower curtain that wraps around you when you get wet any day. (And, don't get me to talking about the B&B I stayed in where I'ld swear the bed had the original Victorian mattresses and box spring, nasty!) No, give me a place where the style enhances my enjoyment, but doesn't take away the livability and my comfort. And, that place is the Mooring. Well, this was our third or fourth stay at the Mooring and, as usual, our hosts, Vince and Leslie, were wonderful, helpful, gracious and fun to be with. Breakfasts were delicious and held us through lunch. What can I say, my wife and I love this B&B, we keep going back (by the way, did I say it's just one short block from the beach!), but I'm not going to tell which of the great rooms we stayed in and really, really liked. (Yeah, I want that room the next time we go "down the shore.") Suffice to say, we had a great week's vacation, and the Mooring was large part of it!

Our stay at the Mooring was great as always. Vince & Leslie couldn't be more accommodating. I've been staying here for years and it's just like visiting family. Can't wait for next year..

My roommate from nursing school and I have been coming here for years. This year I wanted to show my husband what I have been enjoying. We loved the proximity to the beach and almost everything else in Cape May. (We used the car once to go to the whale watch; walked everywhere else.) Vince and Leslie were lovely, as usual, and made the stay very memorable. A definite must if coming to Cape May.

We recently hosted friends from England at the Mooring. They were treated as family by Vince and they thoroughly enjoyed Leslie's breakfast and treats at tea. They now know why the Mooring is our favorite B&B.
