Built in 1900, the Luther Ogden Inn features a large wrapround porch, magnificent chestnut woodwork, and columns. All 4 guest rooms have private bath, AC, and TV. Located just 1 block from the beach and 3 blocks from the Victorian walking mall, the inn is convenient to everything. On-site parking and a full breakfast are included.

1st time get-away to Cape May to take in the sights & sounds of the Christmas season & we were not disappointed! The Luther Ogden met all of my expectations. As stated in my comment title...great hospitality, clean rooms, outstanding breakfast...what more can you ask for! Jan & Mark are wonderful hosts! Looking forward to returning to the Luther Ogden for our next stay!
Thank you so much! We enjoyed meeting you, too! Best wishes for a Happy New Year!

My husband and I enjoyed the holiday decorations at the Inn and around town during our stay Thanksgiving weekend. We especially enjoyed the conversation with Jan, Mark, and the other guests while we sat and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast which was exceptional.
Thank you so much! Christmas is Cape May is a very special place. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again some time!

Jan and Mark run a first-class establishment; homey atmosphere and very friendly. The breakfasts were "to-die-for." Jan is a truly superb chef. The Luther Ogden Inn offers great value and is at the top of my list for a return visit to Cape May.

Beautiful inn near the beach and center of town. Room was rather small, on the 3rd floor, and the sink was outside the bathroom, but it was comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast was delicious. It's only served at 9AM, so you're eating with all the other guests at the same table, which was quite enjoyable. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. It's also a good value.

We found this place online which always creates a small feeling of uncertainty. The owners were pleasant and hospitable in every way. Our room was clean and comfortable with the quietest A/C I have ever known. Easy walk to a beautiful beach. The town is exceptional. Owners of the many Victorian homes keep them in tip-top condition and attractively landscaped. Choice of many restaurants.

Staying with Jan and Mark was like staying with family. It was very comfortable and yet, no drama that normally comes with family! :-) The food was very tasty and they were accommodating to dietary needs. Jan is very knowledgeable about the area and was willing to suggest places to eat.

We stayed thurs anf fri and checked out on sat. The rooms were clean and neat. the house is historic, well kept and grand. Breakfast was top notch. Rooms are two flights up , could be difficult for some, but the stair landing offers a nice veiw of the neighborhood. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. highly recomended. Oh and the innkeepers were friendly, courteous and helpfull with local knowledge..
Thank you so much! We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Cape May this year. We were looking for the comfort and personal touch of a quaint bed and breakfast close to the beach, and the Luther Ogden Inn fit the bill perfectly. We stayed in Room 2, which features a very comfortable king size bed, private bath with medium-sized shower, sink, and air conditioner. The room was small but comfortable, and the house itself was very warm and homey. The only complaint I had was that while the air conditioner cooled the room, it was still quite humid. This, however, was a function of the weather and not the inn itself. The owners, Jan and Mark, were lovely and hospitable. Jan is a walking encyclopedia on Cape May and a welcome resource for my husband and I, as this was our first visit to the area. Her cooking was outstanding. On the first morning, she served homemade zucchini frittata and blueberry coffee cake and cinnamon raisin french toast and Canadian bacon on the second. Also, the stay was an incredible value for the price. The inn is located only a 3-minute walk from the pedestrian mall and a 1-minute walk from the beach. So, the location was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful, and the owners were very charming. I would definitely recommend staying at the Luther Ogden Inn, and my husband and I plan to do so on our next trip to Cape May.
Thank you for your positive review. We are glad you selected the Luther Ogden for your anniversary getaway! We had a fun group and a lot of laughs at breakfast. Again, Happy Anniversary and hope to see you in the future!

The Luther Ogden Inn is located on a quiet street close to all the action...that is, action by Cape May standards. Our room was quiet and comfortable; on the small side but as expected for a home this old. Jan and Mark were gracious hosts, with deep knowledge of the Inn's history and lots of contacts with local restaurants, wineries and shopping. Best of all, their breakfasts were out of this world!

We travel often but only once stayed at a B&B so we didn't know what to expect. We had a wonderful experience at the Luther Ogden Inn the middle of June 2014. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast served on the large front porch was first class. But the best part of the stay was the warm hospitality of owners Jan and Mark. We really enjoyed our weekend in Cape May and look forward to staying at the Luther Ogden Inn again.
Thank you for the excellent review. We enjoyed meeting you, too. We look forward to seeing you again.
