DUE TO DAMAGE FROM HURRICANE SANDY, we have limited availability and there is no hot water until approximately November 26th, 2012. Government rates are available with proper identification (contractor rates available as well). The posted rates DO NOT INCLUDE BREAKFAST however we can supply morning coffee and tea. There are no breakfast options until further notice. The Bentley Inn is an 1886 Victorian Mansion located in the historic & picturesque seaside town of Bay Head (just 60 miles from NYC & Philadelphia), New Jersey. Many call it the “Hamptons of the Jersey Shore. We are just 3 houses from the ocean and feature 19 guest rooms with TV/VCR, A/C, full-serve breakfast with 5 entrees, private off-street parking, complete beach gear, bicycles, wrap-around covered porch, free wireless internet access, large living room, dining room and sunlit solarium. Slip back to another time and relax on the 1st and 2nd floor covered porches with ocean & bay breezes. We can accommodate special events (up to 45 people), small weddings, business meetings, family reunions, etc. Later check-in available if arrangements are made in advance with innkeepers. Minimum age 21. The timeless beauty of this small country village by the sea is both elegant and casual, creating a mystique that has endured for generations. Since the late 1800's, Bay Head has been the favorite vacation place for those who enjoy a certain kind of quiet, a relaxing yet friendly way of life, and a safe haven in which to pursue both land and sea activities. The general enjoyment of the natural, uncrowded lifeguarded beaches make Bay Head a favorite for those who like a quiet time. The people who return year after year to Bay Head take great pleasure in some less publicized everyday activities - collecting shells and sea glass on the beach, bicycling on quiet village streets and, perhaps best of all, seeing a variety of birds in our wildlife preserve.

During super storm Sandy, we stayed at the Bentley for about 10 weeks. We had many crews and we probably stayed in at least 5 of the rooms. All were very comfortable. Glenn was always warm, friendly and a gracious host. I can highly recommend the Bentley Inn!!!

Enjoyed our stay at the Bentley Inn very much. The Innkeeper Glenn, was very friendly and extremely accomedating making us feel right at home. We had adjoining rooms seperated by our own bathroom, which worked out great for my son and I. We were comfy and cozy. The continental breakfast was very nice with fresh juice, bagels, muffins and choice of cereals.The coffee was always hot and many variety of tea's were also available throughout the day. We will for sure keep the Bentely Inn in mind for a future stay.

This was our first time at a B &B. We didn't know what to expect. It was a great experience. The inn is beautifully decorated inside and out with an interesting history behind it. After meeting Glenn and his staff, they made us feel right at home. I can't say enough about the delicious breakfasts, especially the FRENCH TOAST. Beautiful Inn, beautiful people and delicious food, pretty much says it all. Thank you for becoming our new friends.

Loved the Bentley- the breakfast was delicious room was comforable and access to the beach was great. Only negative was the street was very noisy late at night with cars and early in the morning too. ask for a room in the back or on the balcony side.
