Avon Manor Inn B&B & Cottage

This was our second time at the cottage house and it is really lovely. It accomodates our family with plenty of room. We take our family of 5 plus daughters boyfriend, mom and my brother and his girlfriend and daughter. The kitchen is small but for quick meals it is fine. The walking distance to the beach is 1 block and it is a pretty walk. We love this cottage and will go back.

My husband and I have stayed here several times. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are cozy. The breakfast is great. We will return again next year.

Rooms and Inn personnel are all excellent. Comfortable, very clean, and the location and amenities are outstanding. We stayed in the Plaza suite room - the only disappointment was the comfort of the extra fold-a-bed for the 5th person. The bed springs or bed needs to be replaced. Otherwise all was a delight. We did not take the breakfast option, preferring instead to discover local restaurants.

We had a wonderful time at the Avon Manor. Breakfasts were awesome. Peter, one of the innkeepers, was the definition of what a gracious host should be. I highly recommend staying here if you want a great place at the Jersey shore. Larry Weissman

breakfast choices were great; best french toast I have had in ages!!! Loved the rooms we checked out - like I believe #3,4 all the 2nd floor rooms very nice. All very clean. We have stayed in a couple in Spring Lake, Ocean Grove and liked the Avon area very much. The biggest downside to our stay was the next door house hammering all day and late into the night on Friday.

Innkeepers very accomodation and helpful. Cleaning staff incredible....best I've ever seen. Very comfortable in rooms. Close to beach. Can't think of one thing to complain about!! We will be back to the Avon Manor!!!

Just spent my fifth time at the Inn...he keeps adding things...Saw large rental house he has now available and will be back with my family. My ony advice is to go to his website avonmanor.com it has more information. Thanks Again!

the cottage was very small, but adequate. the location was great and the cottage was clean. the rooms did not have closets, so it needed to have more places to hang clothes and there was nowhere to hang wet bathing suits and towels to dry.

Lovely stay with friendly, helpful hosts. We will be back to Avon. One pet peeve -- reminders to tip the help. once is enough. notes posted at breakfast and in the rooms.

Loved our short stay at Avon Manor. Jim was great - breakfast was spectacular - best omelet ever! Pristine surroundings - will definitely be back.

We had a great time at Avon Manor. It was a quick drive from the city at 45 minutes and very easy to find. The place itself was great and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. I liked the two skylights in our room. They were a great way to take in the ocean breezes. The service was top-notch. The staff was very helpful and Jim/Greg are great guys. Breakfast was perfect. Nice portions and a good selection. Quick service that went late into the morning, which is great if you like to sleep in like us. The complimentary passes to the Atlantic Club were a nice perk. The compound is close by and has everything imaginable. Avon-by-the-sea is a great area and very walkable. We would come back.

Thanks for all the extras. I also didn't get to do some things because I didn't got to their website first. Also they have the best rates on their site, I found out after. Other than my mistakes, we had fun. Thanks to the staff who bent over backwords.

We loved our romantic room with our jacuzzi. This was exactly how we wanted to bring in the new year. We cannot wait to return!

My mistake was not going to thier website before we went. They had golf at an exclusive Country Club and didn't know that till I got there. So next time. Very unique breakfast you get to pick off a menu so for the first time I got exactly what I wanted not the one choice of the day. We went with friends and already booked for May. We were very happy and the new Innkeeper and new amenities are great.

I never sleept on 600 thread count sheets. Owner sold me a set since I couldn't go home to mine after them. Thanks for everything!

I had not been there in over a year and glad I came back. New amenities and rooms. The Heath Club and Spa are worth the trip. Innkeeper gave me a freee pass on my way home. Stayed there all day in the pool and hot tub. Also took advantage of the Country Club Golf. Nicest Country club I have ever seen. The breakfast is way too big, I will never eat again, and the choices! I was very happy with the room and staff as well. Unfortunatly it rained the entire time but unlike other places we have been we had plenty of options. Hope to return in the sun.

My girlfriend and I spent the weekend at Avon Manor, and boy, were we satisfied by our experience! The innkeepers were lovely, very friendly with a dry sense of humor and an eager willingness to please their guests. The room we stayed in was very cute, with our own private bath (a great find considering the relatively low cost of the room), air conditioning, and, a very comfy queen sized bed. The breakfast is, in one word, INCREDIBLE. I know it sounds exaggerated but we both agreed that the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. I challenge anyone to find a better omelette or fluffier pancakes in NJ! All in all this was a very pleasant experience. We have already agreed that this is going to be "our place" for years to come. Highly Recommended!
