The Bow Street Inn
The Bow Street Inn is unique in its location above a performing theater in Historic Downtown Portsmouth near the Piscataqua River. Housed in a Historic 19th century Brick Brewery Storage Building it was renovated in the 1980's into The Bow Street Inn and on the first floor the Seacoast Theatre. Consisting of nine rooms comfortably decorated with a homey atmospere, most rooms have a private bath and queen size beds. Our largest room has a king size bed and we have one room with 2 twin beds. The Bow Street Inn offers a delightful alternative for the vacation or business traveler. Our Inn is right in the heart of downtown Portsmouth. Within walking distance to all Historic Portsmouth has to offer, take your pick of shops, theater, harbor cruises, historic museums, gardens and homes. Antique shops, beaches, birding, surfing and hiking a short drive away. A buffet continental breakfast, consisting of cereals, granola, yogurt, fresh fruit in season and an assortment of homemade breads or muffins is included in the room rate. Complimentary cookies, juice, yogurt, tea, hot cocoa & cider available at all times in breakfast room. Free parking available in St. John's Chapel Street lot directly across the street from the Inn.

- We cannot accommodate guest pets (Pets are not allowed anywhere.)
- Limitations on children staying (5 years and older. The $10.00 extra person fee applies)
- No childcare is provided
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted
- Deposit amount required (Reserve with credit card number. Two or more rooms or nights may rquire a 50% deposit.)
- Check in time is 3:00pm and Check out time is 11:00 am
- Cancellations:
Deposits are refunded if we are notified 7 days prior to your arrival date. Less then 7 days refund given only if we are able to re-book the room. A $20.00 cancellation fee may apply. Holiday or special event weekends 14 day notice is required. No refund for late arrival or early departure. Room blocks of more then 5 rooms require 30 days notice. Check in starts at 3pm.
