Olde Orchard Inn

  • Inn Details

Olde Orchard Inn is nestled on the outskirts of rural Moultonborough at northern end of Lake Winnipesaukee, about two hours from Boston. Simply decorated with antiques and natural fibres, the colonial farmhouse is relaxed and casual yet also offers many modern conveniences such as private bathrooms, fireplaces, robes and air conditioning. It is located on nearly ten acres of apple orchards, yet is also conveniently located to many four-season attractions and several superb restaurants. There are nine guest rooms, and a sweet little one bedroom cottage called Plum Cottage. The adjacent barn -- thought to date from the 1760's -- is also home to Biscuit, a small puggle, two rabbits named Bubble & Squeak, two goats named Zoe and Dandelion, and some chickens. Children of all ages are welcome at the Inn. The Anglo-American hosts, Tom and Shannon, look forward to welcoming you to their humble but heavenly orchard in the New Hampshire Lakes Region.

My husband and I never stay at B&B's. It feels weird, like staying in a stranger's home. We took a chance on this place and found it to be a wonderful experience. The owners were pleasant, not intrusive (which was the case with our last B&B), provided a nice, clean room and a scrumptious breakfast. The house and grounds were beautifully cared for.

Great Experience for a first time at a B&B!

I stayed at the end of July, 2010 for 2 nights and enjoyed the pippin room on the first floor. I have to say the inn has a very cozy feeling the moment you step inside. The Innkeepers are just lovely and very accommodating. They both have very kind personalities and are down to earth (HOW NICE AND REFRESHING :)). They have the cutest dog and have goats as well! When I came back from a long day and evening I was able to grab something to drink and a snack right near one of the sitting areas for breakfast. They have complimentary snacks available throughout the day and evening for guests. The room I stayed in was great because it's right next to an open common sitting area. You can play on the computer or read right outside the room. The sheets and comforter where so soft as well as the towels. I used the shampoo and conditioner provided and they worked like salon products. For breakfast I had eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee. Everything tasted well and the coffee was great (I'm picky with my coffee). I can't wait to try some of the other rooms the next time I stay. I also would love to see the barn and walk around the Inn. This Olde Orchard Inn is very beautiful inside and out. It was wonderful for a solo traveler like myself and is a romantic setting for couples. Children would love the animals.

We visited the area to take in the Rubber Duckie Race in Meredith over the July 4th Weekend. We were the first to stay in the cottage behind the barn. It was a perfect spot for myself and my two young children. The cottage has a full kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. The host and hostess were warm, welcoming and accomodating. They have barnyard animals which my kids enjoyed playing with and the Inn is very convenient to several nearby townships. Thank you Tom and Shannon for a great two night stay!!

    i would definitely go back
